tunlex01: Hello I'm just at the stage of ANMAC skills assessment and I have got a couple of questions. 1.Must I use a nurse/midwife supervisor as my referee?can I use a doctor 2.Can I upload the student copy of my transcript or ask to be sent by my school to ANMAC? 3.Must my references be on letter headed papers? 4.How do i go about drafting the reference letters? My referees would ask me to write it and forward to them. 5.Above all, what are the key things to include in the assessment? And other questions.....

Silentthinker:1. Is the doctor your supervisor or HR? 2. Check ANMAC requirements. If it’s not stated, email them to confirm. 3. If it’s issued by the organisation. 4. Dear Gurus in the house, kindly review my chances for PR as i seem to have a complicated profile. Age =35 English test: yet to take Married with a child and expecting ( spouse and child here with me) First degree: Medical Laboratory science School: Imo state University ( 5 years course) Year of graduation: 2008 NYSC 2011-2012 ( University of Benin health Centre) Ist internship (1year)= 2012-2013 ( Federal medical Centre Umuahia) 2nd 1nternship (1 year)=2013-2014 ( University of Ilorin teaching Hospital) From 2014 till 2017, I worked in different private laboratories with no payslip, pension or even bank statement 2018-2021 , I worked as customer services representative (care Centre Agent) although my job description was more like that of an medical claims adjuster in an medical insurance company In DUBAI ( I might be able to get a payslip) MSc (thought): Biomedical science , UK Currently employed as a Biomedical scientist in the NHS on skilled worker visa ( just 2 months experience) Worked as Healthcare assistant during my Masters. (Note I have license to practice both in Nigeria and the UK if that helps ) I would still prefer to assess as MLS , however, if my best approach is in a different line, I won't mind . SPOUSE: I will not claim points as she does not have the ability to get required ielts although she has BSc ( Mass communication, Imo state university) Sorry for the long details as I needed to lay it bay so as to get the most useful and honest advise. goldenmoore:I am not sure if you are eligible for MLT/MLS cos I think AIMS require applicants to have at least 3 years experience @Experience4u, please confirm I also think your partner should still give English test a go if she has a degree in communications. The minimum required for partner is IELTS 6 or PTE 50 per band |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Experience4u(m): 8:05am On Dec 29, 2022 |
Right @tunlex01, he needs 2 years experience Looking at your years of service and AIMS requirement for assessment, you need to have 2 years experience in the last 5 years. You stopped working in 2017 which was 5 years ago hence you do not meet AIMS criteria for experience which is working in a relevant skilled occupation in the last 5 years. You began working 2 months ago as an MLS, which is good. You would need to work 22 more months to be able to assess with AIMS. Any more clarification please tag Additional info: AIMS has increased experience gap year to be 10 years. You might check that out tunlex01: |

Hello everyone. For Vetassess, is Notification of Result Letter or To Whom it May Concern Letter acceptable, in place of degree certificate? WES allows this but I'm looking for evidence that Vetassess would accept it also. Also, If you or someone you know has done this successfully, please let me know how you went about it (especially the certified true copy aspect) Thanks |

Hello everyone. I am new on this platform and an intending Australian migrants. I got to know Australia needs unskilled labour in regional areas. Pls would like to know how do I go about visa application? I am a Nigerian pls ur reply will go a long way in helping. |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Mcslize: 10:58pm On Jan 04, 2023 |
Doysam82: First, what can you do? Australia currently need farmers and other unskilled labourers (Visa 482 sponsorship). But indicate what you can do first, then I will recommend you a website where you can search for such and apply as far as you have basic education to put up a CV. 1 Like |

Decentdave: I also, I am trying to apply to study Masters in Accounting in Australia and contacted a school and the representative told me I will be needing IELTS or PTE for the Visa Application from Nigeria and I am confused based. This link also shows https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/student-500#Eligibility that we are not exempted. Is this new or we do not need this for Visa Application. I am really confused. |

Hello People, I am concerned about my skills and education. I studied Civil Engineering in my Undergraduate and currently working within the IT sector. For my skills Assessment, I am looking at Computer Network and Systems Engineer cause that is closely related to what I a doing now. My issue now is that ACS will access my skills relative to my degree and there is no correlation at all. I also have only about 3 years experience. Could there be away around this? Anybody please help |

Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by armani07: 1:48pm On Jan 06, 2023 |
I applied for Visa 190 which I claimed 70points..Although Skill employment point is not part of it because I don't really understand this ACS assessment below. Please with the assessment below, can I claim the 5points for (at least 3 but less than 5 years) of Overseas skilled employment( Hilderbrand: 1 Like

armani07: Yes, you can claim the 5 points. The outcome says those years meet experience at the appropriate level for the stated years. 1 Like |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by bellong: 2:05pm On Jan 06, 2023 |
mojolajesu: You can assess as a civil engineer without claiming experience points. You can use your thesis and internship to write the CDR. For ACS, since you don't have qualification in ICT, ACS will require some years in lieu of experience. |

Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by bellong: 11:03pm On Jan 06, 2023 |
tunlex01: I missed that. He should get clarity from ACS. But I believe these guys have been instructed to stop this deduction of experience when someone is rightly qualified for the occupation. If it is what it means, he can't claim the 5 points 1 Like |

@bellong Thank you for this feedback. To be sure I understand you correctly, I access with EA as a Civil Engineer through the CDR pathway without claiming experience in the points calculator. Please does this means I would I have work in the engineering capacity should i scale through the visa process? bellong: |
