I've been asking this question and yet to see an appropriate answer other than some nonsense person telling me I'm pro this, pro that. I am not pro anything. I will make up my own mind.

exactly is Peter Obi proposing to fix this country? I've watched his videos and besides quoting figures and that he is a younger candidate, what else does he have to offer?

Please only concrete answers and not "se you are this, se you are that"?

Edited:
Please add Atiku to the list - What is he offering?

None of them gonna respond to this question. Absolutely none. Just vote in Obi and watch him do miracle and insha Allah with Yusuf.

.... guess you miss the part; forget the past and focus on the future.

What are his plans to fix Nigeria and how does he intend to go about it?
Really?

How can you know where you are going if you don't know where you are coming from?

Tinubu's past stinks really bad.

Atiku's past has been judged by his former boss.

Obi's past isn't bad. At least no record of mismanagement

Nigerians are terrible human beings. My Dad connected me with a Modafucka as trustworthy fellow.

Dude was making 3 videos from different angles and sending it to me as 3 ponds.

Imagine that kinda level of wickedness. I visited the farm while in the country to find out what really happened.

I interviewed people living in the Area, recorded the conversations and played it for the Foól. He's lucky my Dad begs me to forget it and consider it as life experience.

Sorry to hear about your experience.

The best way to go is real estate. That's for someone who won't be around all the time.

1. On security he said he will be incharge as he cannot disclose he security plans. He will also reform the police - responsible and responsive policing. This includes creating state and local government police.

2. On economy, he said he will move the country from a consumption economy to production using our vast resources like land, water etc. He means agriculture basically. He will also create a single exchange for currency.

3. On governance, he said he will cut spending.

4. On power, he will declare a state of emergency. Any body who can produce power will be given access to the industry until things improve.

5. On corruption, he simply said 'as I nor chop who else go chop?'

Etc etc

In ur opinion , where do u think the money to do all of these will be sourced ? Because the only thing that don’t require money in the above is cutting government spending ( and even cutting govt spendings May not be something he has full control over. He can only speak for the executive arm of the government and can’t do much as far as legislature and judiciary arms spendings are concerned )

Real estate is not as profitable in Nigeria as people make it seem . Most people into real estate are in it to clean their dirty money by buying assets with dirty money and later selling it to get clean money .

If u buy property to rent out , u will understand real estate in naija is just hype job and nothing more .

Cut spending how. What part of spending will he cut? Is it the part that is codified in the laws or salaries or stop capital projects

4. On power, he will declare a state of emergency. Any body who can produce power will be given access to the industry until things improve.

So this state of emergency what exactly does it mean? Generate more? Distribute more or reduce consumption of power?

5. On corruption, he simply said 'as I nor chop who else go chop?'
Any specific policy or just like Buhari? Many people will swear Buhari is not chopping but has that stopped AGF ministers CBN governor Senators and even civil servants from chopping

This is a very sound advise. Unless the investment is out of sentiments

Anybody that chooses to put sentiments above reasonableness in this Nigeria will learn a lesson he/she will share with grandkids.

There are sentimental reasons many people use for investment decisions like
it's my fatherland,
I am pursuing my dreams
I have to build in my village per our tradition,
I can't be answering yes sir to anyone
it's my way of giving back to my homeland,

Most of the cost of governance actually comes from frivolous spending such as foreign trips, medical tourism etc.

He can also effect change through his annual budget. Imagine NASS alone gulping N330billion from this year's budget. Some of those are newspaper allowances up to the tune of tens of millions per house member.

Lolz. people like that will have nothing to show in old age but stories of how patriotic they were in their youth .

E get reason why people like Wole Soyinka didn’t object to his son being a commissioner in Ogun state after he had fought so many successive governments in the past .

If you are a diasporan and you intend to spend the returns abroad then it doesn't make sense.

Maybe if the money is sourced from Nigeria and you will spend proceeds in Nigeria then maybe it does make sense

Cos how much in Naira can you make on the best flat in Lekki and after converting to dollars how much will you have compared to how much you invested

I am not going to start a defense here. I have just informed us on what he said.

Besides, I am not going to be bamboozled by what politicians say. They make a lot of promises like Tinubu is doing.

What I am after basically is character first, then competence, then capacity.

Tinubu and Atiku failed woefully in terms of character considering their past. I'll pass Obi and Tinubu for competence, I will pass Obi and Atiku for capacity. In all Obi has the edge.

I can tell u for fact that National Assembly won’t pass his budget if they observe he has cut their traveling allowances , estacodes and sundry expenses .

The 1999 constitution is a bichasss constitution and anybody who has plans to reform naija should put it out there that they will do everything to first ditch the constitution after arranging for a constitution review in the early days of their administration . No matter what u do if the 1999 constitution still subsists, this country go continue to suffer .

As long as it makes them happy. I have a friend who has spent over $4m on a major project in Nigeria and he also knows it will take a miracle to get profits from it but he says he is happy with his decision

This project they've threatened to kidnap him like 3 times and he moves around with Mopol when he visits the site bit he says it makes him happy

It's the presidential system of govt which we copied from the Americans

Study the US govt and you will see there is little difference from the politics of Nigeria only that America is so rich unlike Nigeria and it won't affect the average American like in Nigeria

The US congress have shut down govt multiple times by refusing to approve spending of the executive if certain conditions are not met

So in Abuja no one will pass Obis budget if he doesn't play by their rules

Check the US defence budgets and the beneficiary as in defence contractors. Check why there is literally a profession called lobbyists in DC where people make billions per year. Guess what their job description is?

Like everything Nigeria we copied the Americans but without Yankee money

Lagos state government go still rightfully collect their land use charge based on the value of the property , all different agencies sef go show face ……. Whether u sell or u no sell u must pay government its dues or risk being locked down .

As the executive he has veto power. But I don't think the NASS will want the public to hear that they are insisting on feeding from our meagre resources

In real estate, your capital is secured in the asset which itself appreciates, so what ever you get as rent is just profit. All you now need to do is control maintenance.

Personally I don’t believe in democracy . Whether the American presidential system or the British’s parliamentary system.

Africans are direct opposite of what democracy is and stands for . In democracy u are expected to vote for leaders who will lead u for a moment and then leave somebody else to continue in leading after u must have abdicated the post .

The above is in contrast with the nature of the African and his history . A leader is chosen either by the general popular will of the people or the gods tru divinity. A leader is expected to lead as long as he lives and will only give way for another leader if he’s either dead or overthrown by a more powerful force than he’s seen.

This is why u see sit-tight leaders scattered all over Africa holding sway in defiance to the new world democracy model. At least we saw how our own OBJ who became president few weeks after release from prison suddenly want a third term….. instead of being contented with the little influence he’s had after not losing his neck to the executioner

Has the public not been hearing of Senate budget for decades and what has the public done about it?

The average Nigerian will focus on who is president and not other arms. I guess the effect of military rule where one man is the all in all is still in us

Most spending Buhari cannot do it unless the NASS approves

A president without the backing of NASS cannot do anything whether good or bad unless he wants to be impeached

Anything u veto can still be subject of judicial process . The executive will be at loggerhead with the legislature in a lawsuit which the judiciary will determine how the case will
be decided .

That’s just a recipe for disaster

I believe in democracy even though it has many drawbacks but I still believe in it.

Compared to Autocracy decision making is slow. So it makes progress seem slow but on the other hand makes your destruction slow too

The checks and balances it offers might be frustrating but when you think of how a crazy autocratic leader can ruin a country in a few weeks based on his whims

Imagine say Buhari does not answer to anyone like in the military days and something just touch for his brain and he embarked on a very useless project or endeavor e.g Nigeria must send someone to the sun and decide to spend our entire budget on it

You know a traditional ruler in Africa can do that and no one will question him

Only a legislative arm that has never heard of what's called impeachment that will go through timewasting lawsuits

Serve the president with impeachment notice and he will adjust sharply

Most Nigerians don't really know how governance works in a democracy.

A president will have to humble himself a lot to get anything done

I believe in Africans looking within and finding their own system of government that suits them. Democracy leaves room for so many excesses while some of our traditional system of government in the past also had checks and balances in place . We should look at working something out for ourselves .
