Hey , I am one of the post graduate prospective students from Nigeria. I got your good news here on this tread and would like to know how to go about it. How did you finally go about the accommodation, what is your discipline, and how easy is work and study over there? Kindly reply me and preferably via my email address: preciousgold4reallove@yahoo.co.uk or phone contact: 07056456149. Hope to read from you soonest. Thanks.

Hi Precious,
Thanks for reaching out.

Good luck with your student application.

Like some student, I paid for a 10day stay @ one of the accomodation provided by the university. Though it was expensive but it gave me he chance to inspect a few houses before I moved in. In fact I only stayed 8 days and the uni refunded my balance.

However there are many other alternatives. You could go to flatshare, it’s a common site for those who want to share. Or Facebook marketplace. Or realestate.com.au

My discipline: Financial Analysis ( Investment )

Studying and working is tough, but very doable. The challenge brings out the best in you as you grind a little harder. Balance is key. When you start making money you are tempted to work and forget studying , when you only study the financial burden weighs on you.

What most students do is to work like crazy during vacation, the money made during vacation is often enough to pay your fees in part and live comfortably.

Australia is a good country guys. No Nigerian I have met here has regretted coming, the few who left left as multi millionaires of done right.

1) use Google first and you can come back with any questions.
2) I think English language proficiency test will be waived for you as a Nigerian and ultimately, since you studied in UK.
3) Google and ask uncleared question.
4,) Is that a typo or intentional?

Greetings everyone,

I am planning to study master's degree in Australia, so I need an advice from knowledgeable people in the house.

I am graduate of Electrical and Electronics Engineering from University of Brighton, UK. I am currently working as an Instrumentation Engineer with over 6yrs of experience.

I want to study a course in Instrumentation Engineering or any related discipline. I have few questions I will need the house to help me answer.

1) Which good schools offer the mentioned course?
2) Is English test needed as one of the requirements for application, if yes, what is the required band?
3) I want to be briefed on proof of fund
4) Can 10million be enough for me to move to Canada?

Your response would be highly appreciated.

Thank you.

Well done. Your score is great. Just check with the school as long as each band is not less than 6.

Visa grants and indeed lots of visa are attended to very fast as the govt is fast tracking most visa especially those outside Australia. They want you to bring you money, work and help build something.

Don’t know much about Torrens but a few Nigerians go there especially because of its affordability.

Accounting and finance is good with lots of prospects. A few months ago it was kinda bleak getting PR with this course but recently with stiff global competition for skills PR prospects is slightly better.

Health courses ie nurse, doctor remains the skill to beat and maybe teaching.

But don’t worry, just enter first. Things will be clearer as you go by.

Good luck.

Why not go for skilled migration instead of student application?

Hello everyone. I'm new to Australian thread. I am still reading from page one but I have questions to ask so I won't miss the deadline for 2023 intake. Do Australian Universities accept HND? For I want to apply for Business Administration.

Secondly, are we expected to pay application fee? If yes how much please.

As suggested by OOA book school accommodation for few days if they permit, or get a hotel and stay for few days while you find a better accommodation. School accommodation can be quite expensive unless you can afford it.

In terms of jobs I would say they are plenty of job due to coronavirus and employers are struggle to find staff members.

Unfortunately I think unlimited hours is coming to an end this year so if you have restrictions then you might have to call back to 20hours a week unless you willingly to break the immigration law.

I want to believe they do accept it but not to all degrees.
If you are apply I would suggest get an agent as you can’t apply directly yourself and agent fee should cover the application fee which some of the universities are requesting.

Is bank statement not need for Australian visa application?

weldonextreme:

In reality. Visa grant to study in Canada now is quite competitive. On the other hand, Ur preferred uni. in Australia is under stream line visa processing, meaning student visa is pretty straight forward. No bank statement is required.
But if u opt for Australia, be prepared to buy dollar from black market to pay for commencement fee, then receive Ur CoE as soon as possible and apply for your student visa. I must warn you, Australia is the most expensive country to study as an international student. So be prepared.

There r other ways to enter Canada if Ur bent on moving down there. Once u get Ur pr in Australia u can always decide to settle down in Canada eventually.

I was once in d same situation as u, but I finally chose Australia since my wife can accompany me to Australia once I receive my grant, on like Canada which is bit complicated.

Choice is urs...

Hello gurus and to be gurus in the house.
Please for Australia study fees, what percentage of the amount is usually required as deposit before full payment of the fees?

I intend studying at Torrens and the total fees is almost $45,000.
Please I need your input so I can plan better.
Thank you.

Yes,I know of a friend that had 2.2 currently in university of Tasmania,Australia.

But I guess your transcript will be assessed.
The CGPA will be a factor,He had up to 3/5 in his CGPA.So it has to be a high 2.2,that's my take on this bro.
