Don't take advice from simps.
Nigerian girls are liabilities, except you want to remain at the level of "from hand to mouth" avoid any serious relationship talk more of marriage until food, clothing and shelter are not issues that worry you.

Put body first.
Also, why would I want to be with someone who can't feed herself without my help. I wouldn't want to set myself up with that.

Whatever the case may be. Don't you think it is wise to marry early?

it is good to marry early cos u will reap early too.. but if u are not capable don't try it cos u will suffer early and u may reap late.

Understanding is basic in everything we want to do. If I see a girl and we love each other and we are young, before we proceed to agree to marriage, there would be arrangements. Maybe only one kid for now till we both hit a certain level of income and also, what are our plans before we even give birth to the first one? Because a child shouldn't come to this life to to suffer because we couldn't use family planning.

It's subjective

1. Does the guy have plans to grow thier finances?

2. Is the lady industrious to earn for herself as well.

3. Can the two synergize to make sure abundance is in the home?

On this three anything is really possible, I'll support the man's notion.

It's not a trap in my opinion, the thing is finding two selfless people in a love relationship.

I agree with you. But you don't have to be all wealthy before going into marriage aye?

1. The guy must definitely have a definite plan to increase their finances.

2. Depends on the lady.

3. This is where compatibility comes in.

Seems like a trap, if the individual (lady) is the opposite of the three points you stated above.

So it's both ways.

you can say its... two sides of a coin.

Some followed this man's advice and now are too broke to even come online to complain... they married so early in the name of things will be better... then BOOOOMMMM wife delivers twins or triplets... or something else happens... and the meager 150k salary became minus 200k debt.... and over the years... the man has become bitter and sad that HE WAS LIED TO and those who lied to him that made him rush into marriage on a low salary, have all abandoned him.... Now they vehemently advice anyone against making their own mistake. THAT'S ONE SIDE OF THE COIN...

THE NEXT SIDE.... they married early, favor, luck or whatever good spirit, shined on them and things began to boom so well and now they are doing well and they think it is because they married early so they advice everyone else to marry early thinking everyone else has the same luck they had. THAT IS THE OTHER SIDE OF THE COIN.

So you see, no two marriages will have the same story... everyone can actually know which side of the coin they belong to. Sadly we lie to ourselves alot in Nigeria... meanwhile abroad, a 40 years old getting married is still very much celebrated like a 20 years old... age is just a number. Getting your life working wella before marriage is what counts.

Well, I believe in financially helping out my man with household necessities because the last thing I want is to see him stressing and aging quickly because of all the financial burden that comes with marriage.

If he puts the bread on the table, I'll then put the butter.

It’s a trap because most people can feed themselves; we’re just looking for that xtra.

If a man finishes five cups of rice cooked in the nigerian concoction method within three meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
and a lady finishes four cups in the same circumstances
a child of 3 or 4 years old also finishes 2 cups in the same circumstances
YOU ARE NOW ASKING IF IT'S A TRAP OR NOT?
NO BE TRAP NAH TRAP LANJE

I agree, but it all depends on the people involved. If the girl is productive and didn't enter the marriage with the mindset of consuming, receiving, and feeling good only, then it will work.

Marriage should make the life of two people easier if it's done rightly. For example, it's cheaper for two people to rent together, eat/cook together, and do basically everything, since there is, for lack of a better analogy, ''economy of scale'' involved.

Unless modern women are like our mothers who don't see marriage as a permanent vacation to Miami, men should be financially stable before going into one.

Two sides bloody heh! What's the probability of falling in the good side? Or it's not just predictable?

The definition of financial stability is quite confusing these days, and subjective.
