FBS:so the strict law and system we have in place, is it being adhere to? |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by ShaqFu: 7:09am On Jan 07, 2023 |
Spy360:there is always a solution to every problem, the solution might not be known, but it is there, waiting for whoever needs it, to see it. Now as regard Nigeria, we Nigerians need to get our head out of our asses. We need to stop believing the system is there for us to abuse it, and use it for our benefit and that of our families. Laws need to be enforced, penalties need to be put in place, Nigerians need to see that the system works and whoever is found wanting, will listen to the music, no matter who you are. Our religion needs to take a billion step backward and out of maters of state. Our tribal affiliation needs to be tune down, in short, tribalism and nepotism should be a capital offense, and whoever is found guilty, should be sent to 30 years in prison. Best of all, that aberration we call the 1999 constitution, needs a complete overhaul. Nigeria should come first, not our tribe or religion. |

There is this new scam on Lekki Epe expressway by one particular hawker This boy will stand in the middle of the traffic, with a broken basin, and his sachets of pure water littered on the road. People would be touched to give him money, thinking he was hit by a car or something He changes his positions, but he's always between Sangotedo and Abraham Adesanya. |

izzou:With the traffic is that road still not busy |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 7:54am On Jan 07, 2023 |
iamoyindamola: It is not from Lekki oh. If you are coming from Sangotedo to Ajah, you'll most likely run into this thief I am talking about That portion of the express has bad spots that cause traffic everytime, coupled with the U-turns there. |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 7:55am On Jan 07, 2023 |
izzou: Ọmọ líle. As a matter of personal principle , the only people I give money in traffic or on the streets are the handicapped . I don’t believe in giving money to a person with two hands and legs standing in a major road. I believe there are countless menial jobs u can do that will put something into ur pocket and will keep ur integrity/dignity intact ; rather than standing on the road looking for hands out |

BlueRayDick: People who give him money are those who are just encountering him for the first time So, they would not know its a scam He will just stand there, with dirt on his body, a broken basin and be staring at his pure water sachets on the ground. One will most likely think a car hit him, or he fell while running; and then the merciful spirit of yours is triggered |

BlueRayDick: Heh. One evening in Mile2 as it was starting to rain I saw a wheel chair bound aboki and the person pushing him hustle across the road carrying the wheel chair, scaling the divider and crossing to the other side. One time I was in a danfo and this 1 armed young guy was begging. Guy was smiling. The conductor was probably on to him and said something that triggered the guy. The way the beggar turned to agbero was something else. We were all weak. |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 8:09am On Jan 07, 2023 |
izzou: This is why once you have stayed in lagos for like 5 yrs, esp If you ride in danfo, you will be hard and indifferent to beggars and their stories. |

GloriousGbola: Na since the day I don encounter those ones wey dey use LASUTH tests result and Doctors prescription lie for that Mobolaji Bank anthony way for Ikeja , na since that day I no dey pity dem. While going I saw a couple with tears in their eyes move to our bus begging the passengers for assistance that their child was admitted in LASUTH and they had a whole lot of documents and the pictures of the supposed child bedridden. They said the money they need remains 8k or thereabouts and people started donating .Funny enough they deducted each amount a passenger gives them from the total sum till it remained I think 1k or so. I just gave them 1k and they appreciated us and moved on. Unfortunately for the dubious couple I spent a great deal of time where I went to and in the evening while on my way , the same couple had changed lanes and were back with the same story for people in our bus . I challenged them right there and then , omo! They just disappeared . It was the conductor of our bus that now told me that those people are regular on the road na. He said they have people who give them all those LASUTH papers to deceive the unsuspecting members of the public and that they have a particular drug if they take it , they will be all emotional and u will think their tears are real when in fact the tears are induced by the drug . Na that day I know say begging na one big industry |

ShaqFu:I'm not going to discuss trustworthiness and accountability with a Tinubu supporter, the biggest thief running in this election. The same one whose biggest achievement according to you was patching potholes which turned out to be untrue or partly true as they went back to disrepair in a few weeks. No way. BlueRayDick: There was one chick that used to hang around stanbic Bank 23 Rd festac. Well dressed. You are at the atm and she will come up to you crying looking desperate. Her daughter is sick. The first time she cornered me I did nothing because I sensed something was off. After that I actually saw her running the same scam on someone else. The one day I was at the atm and she came for me.even dropped some tears. I just looked at her and started laughing. She understood immediately and disappeared. It is doubly dangerous because it can also double as a kidnap scam. Please help me my child was in an accident. Please come with me. |

Segedinho:Good point bro, the punishment for corruption in China is death. Chinese Govt put this punishment in place to discourage corruption, and it has worked and placed China where it is today. The ordinary citizen didn't make the law, their Govt did. EFCC under Nuhu Ribadu did well in trying to eliminate corruption and looting, until the Agency became a tool for witch-hunting opposition party members and perceived enemy of Govt.... |

FBS: There are systems in place. But Nigerians will be Nigerians The subsidy ballooned under gej because they allowed people to create brief case companies. It was so bad that the chairman of moman wrote about it There were multiple conditions that had to be met, and these had been previously enforced. You must have a depot of x volume. You must have 400 to 500 stations nation wide. But someone decided to flaunt these rules. Systems are always in place, but Nigerians are smart enough to bypass the systems but too dumb to know why the systems are in place |

Corruption is not black and white. It is a spectrum. The problem is that too many Nigerians of all social classes, income levels have no issues perpetrating killing the golden goose levels of corruption. You hear of people robbing their company blind. And you are forced to wonder - did they have another job lined up when they killed their current job? 3 Likes 1 Share |

DissTroy:Can you prove Tinubu is a thief? Can you prove Tinubu was trialed and convicted and sentenced to jail by a court in Nigeria, or anywhere else? Just to clear the air, I never said Tinubu's greatest achievement was patching potholes, my posts are there for anybody to peruse and see. This is what many of you who support Peter Obi is good at, twisting words and making allegations you can't prove up and down. I'm sure if Asiwaju decides to sue you for defamation, your cohorts will rush to support you and accuse Asiwaju of bullying you bla bla bla. And just so you know, there's no such thing as 'credible supporter' we only have supporters. Period. 2 Likes |

ShaqFu: Shaqfu, if you had ethics, values and morals, and you really want Nigeria to be better, you wouldn't want a sickly senile old public-treasury usurper like Tinubu to be president of 200 million people. If Nigeria worsens or remains the same, it's because of devious people like you who think our collective destinies as a country is worth nothing more than an envisaged fleeting satisfaction of "I told you Obi wouldn't win". it's the same way you trolled after Buhari won in 2015 against our pleas but by 2016, you were regretting; and 2017, you were cursing out at Buhari. Did the fleeting satisfaction of having one over I or Trûckpûsher, your then politics section adversaries, save you from the hardship Buhari brought with him as his supporter? You're doing it again! 5 Likes |

seankafor: That is actually the way fraudsters think. Placing the blame on the victim. It is also the reason why so many people give Nigerians a wide berth in business matters. On the upwork threads it is a common complaint. It is much harder for Nigerians to break in because of well earned bad reputation Because if you are a person who can only be trustworthy if you are watched like a hawk, you are definitely not a person I want to do business with 5 Likes 2 Shares

GloriousGbola: Nigerians are not more corrupt than Americans. There are thieves everywhere in the world. Now prevalence of the issue in both places is very different because one has a working system in place that penalizes offenders effectively. If Nigeria strengthens her institutions, set it up such that it is very effective at detecting and penalizing corrupt offenders especially in politics and financial institutes, the problem is solved. We then have accountable public officers who go into public service not primarily to make money but to serve. 1 Like |
