I don't háte Tinubu.
I hâte the fact that a geriatric cognitively-impaired biologically-unfit man who's running with a vice tagged with terrorism links thinks it's his turn to govern 200 million Nigerians.

Why do you hate Obi so much, Shaqfu ?
I don't hate Peter Obi. Truth is, I don't know him. So it's had for me to vote someone I don't know. Plain and simple.

Yes, I pride myself in calling out people whose core decisions about our politics is made from the lens of tribal affiliation and most importantly sensitize others to this.

Allow me to illustrate to you a glaring effect of what I've done here.

About 5 months ago, when I started talking about Obi on the Chelsea thread and hyping his candidacy, initially I appeared quite foolish to everyone for even talking about the man when "serious candidates" were talking, candidates like wike, tinubu, osinbajo atiku, amaechi etc.
They thought I was just making noise because they believed that his campaign was going nowhere, but as time went on, as people began to witness his campaign garner pace and steam and defy the odds, as people saw that this wasn't just a faze by the youths, that this man seemed to be unto something here, many observers and neutrals naturally began to lean into the campaign. I mean from the outside, what was not to like about this growing phenomenon?

A new underdog taking on the failed establishment. A seemingly credible third choice rising up to give people better choices than what the establishment had just given them, a candidate himself seeming to tick all the right boxes, Young, Healthy, Experienced in governance, Cerebral and intelligent, from a region who many naturally felt was their own time to produce a candidate (Equity and Justice box) or a Christian after a Moslem president etc etc.
You know just looking at this new candidate and looking at the other candidates from the 2 parties, you instinctively leaned towards this new underdog.
Again, The guy from the outside just seemed to tick all the right boxes and neutrals naturally leaned towards him.

Now here my point really begins;
There was a certain respected person who slowly but consistently began bashing the candidate, you know, even with frivolities, saying he had woman's voice, that he squeals and so on. I became curious as to why this person who was in America wouldn't instinctively lean towards this growing political revolution of sorts, mind you he hadn't yet declared his candidate to us but from the onset was already denigrating this candidate and bashing his image, when the camel's back broke for me was when he finally stated that he would prefer tinubu, if not tinubu then ATIku. This was totally irrational, I mean it's one thing if one said I choose tinubu first for whatever reason, if not then maybe Obi, but to choose the 2 in that order and totally disregard Obi at that point was just beyond logic.

And mind you, this period, obi was all the rave, the PVC sensitization, the organization of rallies by youths, the talk of defeating the failed party etc etc, like you would be hard-pressed to see any single person still leaning into APC then. So when he declared his candidate in that order, it forced me to go back to his previous posts to see what could be the cause of this and lo and behold, my eyes saw blood! I was hit with shock because the person who I had been regarding as pretty knowledgeable individual was the opposite of everything I ever thought he could be. Consistently demonizing another tribe, claiming a superiority of his tribe over others, spreading deep animosity and vulgarity between two tribes but painfully was the realization that this individual was soo far away from all the trouble he has been brewing and nuturing here. I was shocked by all these and worse so realized that there will be many like me who were in the dark as to these guy's dark shenanigans and I began revealing them consistently.

Now the main point of all these;

If I did not actually reveal these things, there would be a likelihood that this individual would have consistently used his good mastery of logic to try and push and convince people here that somehow this tinubu we're seeing was the best option for Nigeria. He would hide his actual intention for supporting this candidate well which is of course his tribal jingoism\ superiority mentality and package tinubu's candidacy in a wrap of diplomatic logic that will be easy to sell.
By my exposure of his evil past, at least I opened every body's eyes to his true Intentions so there was no room for deceit on his part. Whatever he said henceforth about tinubu, people knew exactly where the sentiment was coming from.
I believe I've sufficiently addressed my reasons for doing what I did.

I was one of those who doubted this Obi campaign would go anywhere. I must say you have really done well here and I for one like what you do.

Of course I damn well know Buhari. Atleast he's been active in Nigeria political sphere since he was military head of state. Even before he became military head of state, he's always been active.

Now can the same be said for Peter Obi? The opportunist. Where was Peter Obi when Tinubu and many like him fought for this democracy Peter is riding on?

Where was Peter Obi during the June 12 crises?

Where was Peter Obi during the 4th republic?

Where was Peter Obi after he served his tenure as governor of Anambra state?

This Peter Obi you're hyping only became relevant when Atiku chose him as his running mate in 2019, and he and Atiku still took their L and cooked it.

Where was Peter Obi after 2019 presidential election. Dude went on sabbatical leave only to resurface when he discovered social media users where drunk with hate with this current government. Talk about a cheap opportunist.

I'm sure after he lose this election, he will disappear and resurface again in 2027 and continue to deceive those who want to be deceived.

Like I said, I don't know who Peter Obi is, but I damn well know who Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is, The one and only Jagagban! You can take that to the bank, ma main man. grin

I tackled sodeeq badly at the fpl thread yesterday so of course,he will look for an opportunity to strike back. cheesy useless short coward. cheesy

Dayo dayo, your own insults are like a badge of honor, I mean if even Obasanjo or the great awolowo's wife are not spared from the deepest hatred which your heart habors, who on earth is spared from such darkness? You accuse another tribe of being corpse eaters, you accuse them of being born with "crime DNA", I mean what have you not said??

And I notice you always like to say we have had problems for 7 years. No dayo, we never had any long running issue, whatever problem we ever had was fleeting, if not explain how both of us got to debate coordially over several issues along that time, from American election issues, to ideology to several other topics we agreed upon. Saying me and you have had beef for a long time prior to this is just a lie and you know it. God knows I would have raised this hell much earlier if I had discovered how thoroughly evil you were.

Face it dayo, you are a wicked soul! An evil soul who chooses to mastermind tribal violence while many miles away from the chaos. The ultimate coward. Repent dayo!

The funniest thing I keep reading is that I seek validation from others. grin grin

That is sooo Soo funny because anyone who has followed my history on this platform would see how I always always hold positions almost always contrary to popular views. Does that sound like someone who seeks to be validated?

So let me see, in my 11 years on this forum, I have spoken on behalf of gays, I have spoken in defence of abortion, I have spoken against Christianity, I have spoken against Islamic fundamentalism, I have spoken against the existence of juju.

I mean, most of my liberal principles are in sharp contrast to the popularly held beliefs. When I advocate for anything liberal, my audience is most likely a conservative audience,so tell me again, how does one "seeking to be loved" get to always go against the popular beliefs? Why doesn't he blend into the crowd? cheesy

Dayo, the devilish foolish clown. grin

No matter how evil it appears, no matter how vulgar, how nasty his comments are, none of them have brought themselves to utterly condemn the evil that this guy spewed. None of them but they would rush to attack the person exposing the evil while turning a blind eye to the devilish things he said.

I don't think it's depression, there's many ways to express his depression if that's it, why did he choose this one?

Brymo has been trying hard to center himself in the Tinubu conversation online and he's finally succeed. The funny thing about everything was that the people he was responding to that kick-started his whole tribal dance were in fact those responding to him politely, probably his fans even.

This thing Brymo is doing is how own version of Ola-Iya Igwe's naked prayer stunt. They're falling over themselves to show loyalty to the man's campaign, believing that since the man's campaign has been made a Yoruba project, they'd be first in line for whatever goodies come of it, given how much they sacrificed, and in Brymo's case him sacrificing his career.

My entire point sef with that long post I made late last night was me simply saying that, if I did not expose dayo's deadly history here, you would have seen this individual try to cunningly sell Tinubu to us not with tribal sentiment but "logic" and people would have fallen for it not knowing his deepest intentions or motivations.

I handicapped dayo's ability to sell Tinubu to anyone here in any capability because they saw right through his intentions instantly and that is a big W here because this obi's candidacy that I've supported and pushes for, I have done so despite the attempts of the "abroadians" to frustrate that effort. My only motivation is to see more of us get involved in the democratic process and make the best decision of the 3 and I'm truly glad to see I've largely succeeded in that effort.

On thing I have learnt about politics is, politicians after they win, never bring the most fanatical of their supporters into their fold.

Buhari shunned Ezekwesili, Omojuwa and Deji when he became president even though they were his most fanatical supporters on Twitter and Facebook, cursing everyone out and threatening violence.

Laolu, PYO's spokesperson, was calm in 2013 - 2015, and even today.
Garba Shehu didn't curse people and threaten them leading to 2015.
Adeshina didn't too.
PYO's photographer who's popular didn't get involved in the politicking during the primaries.

PYO's campaign manager, Richard Akinnola, (you can check him out on Facebook) didn't go the extreme for Osinbajo. Sanwo Olu was the special guest at his birthday months later.

In fact, none of the fanatical supporters of Buhari have really benefitted visibly from him. I can count names of people who got mega contracts from Buhari but never even publicly showed him support. Remember the man who trekked for him but wasn't even acknowledged?

Even Atiku's spokesperson, an Igbo man, hasn't gone overboard. He didn't do it even in the lead-up to 2019.

Brymo is wasting away whatever is left of his diminishing career; and worst even, wasting it away on a gamble which has been shown not to pay off well.

Nigeria is a country built on tribalism. Anybody pretending otherwise is either living in la la land or a damn bloody fool.

An Hausa man is generally regarded as illiterate, violent, stupid and a wash-preek-from-plastic-kettle kind of individual. On the flip side, they're seen to be brutally honest and many prefer to do business with them.

An Igbo man is generally regarded as unpredictable, arrogant and a sell-your-mother-for-money kind of individual. On the flip side, they're regarded as anything but lazy.

A Yoruba man is generally regarded as dirty, lazy and a plan-with-you-&-sell-you-out kind of individual. On the flip side, they're regarded as accomodating and love living the good life.

Everything in between is (very sadly) regarded as minority and don't matter much. Calabar folks are good house helps, Edo folks are premium touts, etc etc.

In Enugu, you'll hardly get a Federal Govt job as an Anambra man. They call it "indigene" slots. We all have a tribal bias hidden in all of us. Every single f.ucking person in this damn country.

Then you've got politicians who don't give a f.uck about anything and want power at all costs...and you expect them not to play a tribal or religious card

I don't blame us. This country is just like a pot of assorted pepper soup boiling on a tripod stoked with firewood. We've gained independence. But at intervals, the colonialists adjusts the firewood, fans the flames & stirs the pot to taste.

I said Tinubu has made his campaign a Yoruba project and not that Yoruba's have made Tinubu's campaign their project.

Tinubu is the only candidate amongst the three major candidate that has the most persons of his tribe voting for him primarily because he's from their tribe.

I'm sure if you took a poll of Igbos voting for Peter Obi you'd hear the usual talk of "how I go vote for Tinubu and Atiku wey be thief" 'I don tire for APC and PDP" "APC has failed and Atiku is not an option"...reasons like these.

However with Tinubu you'd find a good number of his supporters come out plain plain and state that their reason for voting him is because he's a Yoruba, no more, no less.
