Kaycee54321:They insist on burying their heads in the sand, and that's funny. I don't think Tinubu is a tribalist but it'd be incredibly naive for anyone to think that a Tinubu won't play the ethnic card to get power if he knew it would be to his advantage. I'm surprised Atiku hasn't played his ethnic and tribal card cause I think it could in fact serve him. Peter Obi can't afford to play an ethnic card because he's from a minority tribe, but the religious card he's played it because it serves him. Its surprising seeing people get in their feelings when we say Tinubu is playing the ethnic card. You're unlikely to see me criticize PO going from church the church because he's my candidate and I want him to win, but I won't be caught dead making an argument that he isn't, I'd just unlook. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Brymo is acting alone. The same way Psquare is acting alone. And Yes Brymo is a tribalist, and he is unstable. Something I have known since. No matter how my friends want me to download his songs, I won't download. (The same way with Burnaboy.) But not everyone supporting Tinubu is doing that because he is Yoruba. I can bet that We have more Yorubas supporting Obi, than Igbos supporting Tinubu. But if you can claim Tinubu's supporters are only Yorubas and his campaign is based of Tribalistic reasons fueled by the Yorubas, why is the same reason and talks not directed to Obi's way. I have also seen Obi talk and act in a way that can fuel Tribal unrest and religious unrest. You don't see anyone pointing hands every second and moment. 2 Likes |

And what is the talk about Tinubu talking about fake merchandice, and you concluded that he was talking to all Igbos, and he is being Tribalistic. What type of insecurity is that? What type of low self esteem is that? How you came to that conclusion is still a mystery to me. A very big mystery. I shock. 3 Likes |

Bimffo:You are unlikely to see Igbos saying they'd vote PO simply because he's an Igbo man, but there's videos online of so many Yoruba's saying they're voting Tinubu because he's their own. You can't accuse PSquare of playing a tribal game because they haven't made it obvious that they're supporting Obi because he's an Igbo man, neither have they attacked other tribes in their support for Obi. Can you honestly say the same about Brymo, and if you can't, why then are you comparing the support from each of them? 3 Likes |

DissTroy:The funny thing about the whole thing is that he'd lose fans not just among Igbos and other Southern tribes, but among Yoruba's too. The Yoruba's that would go out of their way to support an artiste that has built his entire brand around conscious music are the ones that will never be caught dead being tribalists. 1 Like |

@DonJ - you need to mellow abit, and I expect you to be abit more circumspect based on your 2015 gung-ho on Buhari. We all want a better Nigeria, and there is no guarantee that Atiku, Obi or Tinubu will deliver. You will find it very difficult to prove tribalism on any of the 3 candidates, moreoso Tinubu, he has many shortcoming but tribalism isnt one. If I were you I would focus on his known weaknesses, you see how you unwittingly helped the pro-Tinubu guys shift the narrative from Tinubu licking mic etc to discussing Tinubu tribalism? 1 Like |

ariesbull: I have seen where Obi was telling a church congregation to take back their country. Do you see anyone pointing that he is a religious Bigot? Different people will say what they want to say and tell you why they are supporting a candidate. Another problem is you'all are so sure No Igbo whatsoever is voting Obi because he is Igbo. Delusion. Delusion everywhere. 1 Like |

Donjazet2: You are also not a saint when it comes to all these posts. You are not. I am not just ready for any digging. And yes, we have tribalists here and there, but why can't we have a simple convo without you thinking tribalism is the reason why I am arguing even when my talk states otherwise. Tinubu threw some jabs at Obi yesterday and everyone concluded that he is throwing tribal slur to all Igbos. In Nigerian Politics we have a saying, "If you want to know the history of your family and how your great grand father is a bastard, just join Politics." Everything you have claimed that was tribalistic about Tinubu's talk yesterday are just speculations and guess work from you. Because he said this, he meant this. Because he said that, he meant that. 1 Like |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Donjazet2: 12:02pm On Jan 08, 2023 |
Olowunl01: I really need to address this 2015 ish. You see, I've always said that a presidency or a candidacy is beyond one individual. One of my core reasons for supporting buhari in 2015 was the implication of what that would mean for Nigeria's democracy. And time has proven me correct on that one particular point. As of 2015, PDP was a supreme party deep in the clutches of unknown forces and cabal behind the scenes, PDP had like 27\36 governorships, 75\105 senate seats etc and for the first time, we had a genuine option to PDP who could seize power from them and do better. Well yes, they have failed woefully in almost areas of governance but one legacy of that victory is that we now had 2 big parties that decided to checkmate themselves at the polls. They both signed a stronger electoral law because neither of the parties want the other to rig their opponents in the stronghold of the other. APC did not want PDP to rig them out in PDP states while PDP did not want APC to rig them at the states they control so they got to mutually disarm themselves at least to a great extent, that's if tye last 3 state gubernatorial elections are anything to go by. Infact this strengthening of our democracy that has allowed Nigeria to dream of a scenario where a Labor party can win is enough reason for me to go back and vote APC again in 2015 because a defeated APC wouldn't survive post 2015 and we would be back to the supremacy of one party. It's the same narrative I keep trying to let people see with an Obi Victory. I know for a fact that a Labor party victory at the presidency will completely, like completely be earth shattering. This is a campaign that wasn't even born a year ago, a campaign vastly outspent, vastly handicapped in comparison with the others but has been powered by the connectivity of the wide internet penetration and acceptability by the general populace. An Obi presidency will be one that he himself knows was the epitome of a PEOPLE'S MANDATE. It would have ramifications beyond Nigeria's border's. Our fellow Africans would witness the modern miracle that has just happened and follow suit and realise the power they have. A bloodless coup on the wicked elite. 4 Likes |

iamoyindamola: I know Brymbo has not been balanced mentally and emotionally for a while now. Even since he fell off, he's been acting like someone with Bipolar disorder. For that reason I don't even follow him nor listen to his music, I only see some of his tantrums on blogs anytime he makes the news like recently. I'm not sure any political office aspirant will want to touch him with a long pole. |
