I have seen where Obi was telling a church congregation to take back their country.

Do you see anyone pointing that he is a religious Bigot?

Different people will say what they want to say and tell you why they are supporting a candidate.

Another problem is you'all are so sure No Igbo whatsoever is voting Obi because he is Igbo. Delusion. Delusion everywhere.

It's simply because you cannot accuse Obi of bigotry of any kind.

So this is not a smart thing to even bring up.

Nobody has said there's no one Igbo person supporting PO simply because he's Igbo, you're the only one saying it.

But you said you will never see an Igbo man saying, he is voting for Obi because he is Igbo, but you will see a Yoruba man saying he is voting for Tinubu because he is Yoruba.

And please how is Tinubu a thief. How? Has he ever had a roll with the EFCC? Or a court?

For 16 years, he was in opposition with the Federal Government. When he was Governor, he was in AD. Obasanjo decided not to give him federal allocation for most of his tenure and he didn't owe a single government worker.

Tinubu is a business man. He is a former Governor. He is a leader of a set of people. He has built people. He has made people. He has influenced people.
If there is a business deal, he has the opportunity to tap on it before anyone because of all his connections.

(These are facts. I for once have not seen or read about anyone Obi has built and influenced even though he is a Billionaire. There may be but I have not seen. A man that claimed he denied his own son a car because he felt he should work for it himself. A simple car.)

How does doing business make him a thief?

If u know anything about Brymo's many controversies u won't be asking me this question.

Honestly blueray, I won't lie, this is not a good look on you. This urge to constantly defend people who are being the very worst version of themselves. This desire not to see them take responsibility for their own evil actions.

It's honestly not a good read on you that once someone is exposed for saying or doing something very very hateful and evil especially stemming from tribal rhetorics, it honestly doesn't bode well for you and I say this because you are a poster I actually like here very well.

First with dayo, now brymo. People come out and show you them true selves only for you to jump in front for them.

Why on earth are you really defending brymo right after defending dayo? A strange pattern emerges difficult to ignore.

If you are coming in front of a church, to tell the church to take back their country, then you are a bigot! It is as simple as that.

You know your main opposition is running on a Mu-Mu ticket, and you are playing the religion card. If that is not religious bigotry, I don't know what will be.

If you have to bring religion or use religion as a basis before you vote for someone then you are a bigot.

By saying Tinubu is a thief, I was referring to the general perception about him. I won't go down this route of arguing whether or not Tinubu built his wealth off business or not, but you must know that even his most ardent supporters agree he's a thief, a good thief. You seem insistent on lying to yourself or swallowing Agbadorians full campaign rhetoric.

I have not even compared Brymo's support to Psquare support.

I said Brymo is a person. And Peter of Psquare is a person.

I have not seen Yorubas attack Psquare for supporting Obi based on any Tribal sentiment.

Go to the comment sections of all Yoruba actors that have openly given their support to Tinubu, and you will see how messy it is.

In case u've not noticed, that act in itself is counterproductive. It distorts the flow of meaningful conversations on the thread. You make the thread a battlefield and those undecided voters u calik to be trying to shape their decisions/opinions will get put off by Ur constant engaging in vituperations here and there. I was having a meaningful conversation with someone else before he jumped on my mention demanding an apology for an article that turned out to be a clickbait.

I said Brymo is depressed because it's obvious he's had strange pattern of behaviours even before this whole electioneering process began. ( if u don't know this then there's no point having this conversation)

We should work based on facts. Why should I swallow the perception of Tinubu being a thief, Hook, Line and Sinker, when I have not seen a judge convict him or him having a role with an anti corruption agency.

What is the meaning of a good thief? Is that a way of lying to yourself?

You claim I am lying to myself? Has anyone blamed Tinubu of stealing anything whatsoever ? Or him claiming public funds?

I don't understand.

@DonJ - you need to mellow abit, and I expect you to be abit more circumspect based on your 2015 gung-ho on Buhari. We all want a better Nigeria, and there is no guarantee that Atiku, Obi or Tinubu will deliver.

You will find it very difficult to prove tribalism on any of the 3 candidates, moreoso Tinubu, he has many shortcoming but tribalism isnt one.

If I were you I would focus on his known weaknesses, you see how you unwittingly helped the pro-Tinubu guys shift the narrative from Tinubu licking mic etc to discussing Tinubu tribalism?

Tinubu's gaffes na like daily bread for this thread, we won't have to wait long before the conversation switches back to this or some similar gaffe.

If you are saying you don't want to condemn dayo because you think I have a "disdain" for him, do I also have a "disdain" for the brymo that you are trying to defend now?

Brymo is being his worst self right now on twitter, every level headed person is strongly condemning his narratives but you are here trying to rationalise his actions. Trying to pin in on mental health issues and not as a matter of the individuals personal resolve.

Just like you saying dayo is saying these evil things because "others are also saying them".

At what point do you assign the individual his responsibility for his actions out of hia own will and condemn it for what it is?

What has my actions got to do with you trying to excuse brymo?

Peter Obi says "take back your country" a lot, it's almost like a slogan that's come to be associated with the Peter Obi movement, but Peter Obi can say "take back your country" everywhere, but not in church. Ask Bimffo if Peter Obi said take back your country from Muslims and he'd start with another version of whataboutism.

I said Tinubu has made his campaign a Yoruba project and not that Yoruba's have made Tinubu's campaign their project.

More pointedly, Tinubu is the only one of the presidential candidates who has said on live TV that it's [ his tribe's] turn to be president and in Yorubaland, it's his turn. That's how the "Emi lokan" quip/slur began.
He has doubled-down on it every single time and that's why many Yoruba elites are asking who decided it's his turn even if there's a Yoruba slot.

Tinubu began his campaign right before the primaries on a tribal platform. Not even Kwanwaso who's seen as fanatically pro-North has said so.
Even Buhari didn't say it's the turn of the North in 2015.

Is Tinubu a tribalist? I don't think so; but it's devious to pretend he hasn't based his campaign on tribal sentiments.

The Gory actions from Awkuzu SARS in Anambra was done when Obi was Governor of Anambra.

They tortured, dehumanized, killed Youths and threw youths inside Azu River. Corpses numbering about 35 were on January 19, 2013, discovered floating on the Ezu River. Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Peter Obi never did anything towards it. He kept quiet and the killings went on. Till today, he has not said anything about it.

His supporters are quiet like it never happened under Obi when he was the Chief Security Officer of the state.

But they will run to accuse Tinubu that he was one of the people that ordered the killings of Youths by the army at Lekki toll gate when was not President, Governor or the Local government of the area.

Why would I give my vote to someone that allowed the killing of youths in a dehumanizing way?

And his supporters are silent about it and are not addressing it.

I really need to address this 2015 ish.
You see, I've always said that a presidency or a candidacy is beyond one individual. One of my core reasons for supporting buhari in 2015 was the implication of what that would mean for Nigeria's democracy.

And time has proven me correct on that one particular point. As of 2015, PDP was a supreme party deep in the clutches of unknown forces and cabal behind the scenes, PDP had like 27\36 governorships, 75\105 senate seats etc and for the first time, we had a genuine option to PDP who could seize power from them and do better. Well yes, they have failed woefully in almost areas of governance but one legacy of that victory is that we now had 2 big parties that decided to checkmate themselves at the polls.

They both signed a stronger electoral law because neither of the parties want the other to rig their opponents in the stronghold of the other. APC did not want PDP to rig them out in PDP states while PDP did not want APC to rig them at the states they control so they got to mutually disarm themselves at least to a great extent, that's if tye last 3 state gubernatorial elections are anything to go by.

Infact this strengthening of our democracy that has allowed Nigeria to dream of a scenario where a Labor party can win is enough reason for me to go back and vote APC again in 2015 because a defeated APC wouldn't survive post 2015 and we would be back to the supremacy of one party.

It's the same narrative I keep trying to let people see with an Obi Victory. I know for a fact that a Labor party victory at the presidency will completely, like completely be earth shattering. This is a campaign that wasn't even born a year ago, a campaign vastly outspent, vastly handicapped in comparison with the others but has been powered by the connectivity of the wide internet penetration and acceptability by the general populace.

An Obi presidency will be one that he himself knows was the epitome of a PEOPLE'S MANDATE. It would have ramifications beyond Nigeria's border's. Our fellow Africans would witness the modern miracle that has just happened and follow suit and realise the power they have. A bloodless coup on the wicked elite.
Dude - you are basically saying we changed PDP to APC is success, well so why should we change to LP?

Its beyond changing party; I know what Obi winning would signify however like Buhari winning it does not neccessary guarantee 100% delivery of a better Nigeria.

Moreover Obi doesnt need to win; he already achieved the reawakening of the importance of the people; win or loose we just need to ensure that LP & NNPP maintain the momemtum and not fall into disarray like the PDP post 2015 if Obi fails to clinch the mandate.

So mellow abit; LP has achieved alot already, look at recent campaign in Oshogbo; you bringing Tribalism accusation against Tinubu is ridiculous and probably an own goal when in his alleged ancestral state your candidate without any structure is pulling such crowds.

When Tinubu licked mick, pro APC guys here either jumped pass, others bombarded page with different pictures to move conversation on; and you helped in achieving that..

We all wantba better Nigeria, if we achieve it with APC, LP or PDP means nada to most people.

You are claiming Obi is an ethnic/religious candidate to defend the actual candidate that has been religious about this whole thing.

Tinuke.

Was it not because the Tinuke team claimed being a Yoruba Muslim was a minority as a reason for picking a Muslim vp cheesy.

You say the speech that Obi delivered at the church is an example of his attempt to cause a divide.

So what about the other places he has gone and also told them to take back their country. What kind of divide is that?

The thing paining you is that you are reminded of the foolishness of your choice in this election.

Because only a dull person will look at this country and see how divided it is and will support a candidate who from his very Action has divided the country even more.

I don't even need to jump into Tinubu’s health status that is apparent for the whole world to see.

TF is this.. Support tinubu with your chest but don't attempt to bring in Obi into the madness that is your political choice just to show "they are all the same"
