Olanray01: Don’t even complicate things yourself. My advice is to talk your way through and agree on a reasonable amount with him to get an updated statement. To be candid ur visa is about to be approved. Just provide the updated statement and find your way to Canada 4 Likes |

1. It’s a red flag for a Master's degree holder to go for an undergraduate diploma. However, it is not impossible to get the study permit approved if you have a strong reason for opting for the program. 2. HND is equivalent to Advanced Diploma. So, let the person apply for a Postgraduate program. If you are not a recent graduate, VOs expect your program of study to be related to your occupation, not necessarily previous education. Yes, your spouse can apply for SOWP while you are in Nigeria. She can use your Letter of Introduction and visa to apply, but the school's enrolment letter and study permit strengthen the application. Accessed: 2 Likes |

Ibk2020:Yes you can go with your family. But your husband needs to apply for spousal open work permit. The spousal open work permit will allow him to work in Canada. |

It is a one-year program, and you will be eligible for a one-year PGWP upon completion. The school can’t add holidays to the duration. Seyola16: |

Faith93:. If your updated letter of acceptance is for the same program and same college, then all you need to do is inform IRCC via webform using your account and they will reply you and tell you what to do. But if you plan on attending a new college and you are outside Canada then you will need to apply for a new study permit. NB: if you defer your start date by 150days or more then you need to get an updated letter of acceptance and inform IRCC by uploading the new LOA and sending it to IRCC via your account. 1 Like |

Please I want to know if it's possible to just pay the first deposit of like 1600-3000 cad requested by some of the colleges for a 1year course, then use the receipt and admission letter to apply for student visa with personal pof here. Would they likely approve they application? |

floflo12:Alot of people have gotten their study permit application approved by paying only the tuition deposit. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by floflo12: 4:08pm On Jan 09, 2023 |
mrprolifik: oh wow, I was thinking one need to pay the full tuition before applying to give better chances of approval. Thank you so much for the response. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by mrprolifik: 4:15pm On Jan 09, 2023 |
floflo12:Make sure you have enough money in your account, or your sponsors account that covers the balance of your tuition and extra $10000cad/ year for upkeep if school Is outside the Province of Quebec , or $11000cad/year for upkeep if school is inside the Quebec province. |
