Ok. On the funds part, currently; I've been able to save over 120k from my job since I started last December. December salary (30k) will be paid on or before 15th, making it 150k.

Hopefully, by next month; if I add January salary plus other tips I'll get for the remaining 10 days (cos I'm stopping after this month), I think I should be able to reach 200k.

So technically, I don't think I can be able to afford the 13kg washing machine. For now, 8kg is my last junction.

Same way you can drain it into a basin.

Rich people buy automatic front loader. This has to be properly installed and connected to your water supply and drainage. In addition, if I am not mistaken, it has a heater which means you will run it on nepa or big gen. Can't say if the heater is a must use.

But most of the commercial laundries I have visited use front loaders.

You are better off doing research or googling Nigerian laundries. Then you can do your 'customer' survey and see what works for them. Or even ask the workers

Na you know your environment and how much space you do have.. the weather for now is favorable to Drycleaners so it’s advisable to get only washing so you could just hang the cloths out to dry.. but on a long term, the best to get is a dryer cos using your hands to wash the cloths you would have time to concentrate on tough stains like the armpit and collar or any other part of each outfit to wash them well.

To rain on your parade, have you factored operating costs? water sourcing? Generator and petrol sourcing? Detergent?


ariel (my detergent of choice) has doubled in price. Is there a proper drain in your location? Money for the plumber to tie in your system? Concrete slabs (my own choice sha) to raise it above floor small?

Clothes line for drying? Securing customers clothes?

Buying from this platform is really about convenience. But as a business matter, better to get your hands dirty. It is same lawanson you will go back to for spare parts.
