Hi everyone, I am about to go for my 3rd IVF. I was told by the doctor that frozen embryo transfer is a bit better than fresh transfer. I am so confused right now because I don’t want to travel to Nigeria two times in two months. The journey is far and the tickets are so expensive. I feel stressed thinking about going twice with three weeks interval. Does anyone know anything about frozen embryo transfer? Any information would be helpful. Thanks

Glad he said a bit better as it’s on individual basis and every woman,s journey is different.

For women that had say hyper stimulation,heavy bleeding after collection or such complications the body needs some days to recover hence some Drs would suggest frozen.

A minus is that in FET there is the posibility your eggs might not survive the thawing process.

I understand too well the headache of travelling across continents and tickets as i had most of my treatments in Nigeria but weight the sacrifice and the reward involved it’s worth it…Hopes this helps and good luck.

Things /Food to avoid:
Dates, pineapples, scent leave, potash ( or anything washed or prepared with it like snails) unripe pawpaw or better still avoid it for now .

Other Mamas can state more . Wish you a successful implantation.

More:

Avoid all types of seasoning except Maggi/Knorr and salt , avoid noodles because of the seasoning also. Uda seeds ( called eru in Yoruba ) also.

Try as much as possible to eat at home.

Pls Sabi mamas, on starting my IVF journey doctors found fluid in my uterus and this is a big concern to my doctor, pls are their herb teas or something I could do to stop this fluid, since this could halt the process.

Is the fluid in the uterus or tube, cos a woman said she treated with antibiotics though her own is in the fallopian tube not uterus. Her doctor recommended a particular antibiotics. Not withstanding some doc use to tie or remove the affected area before ivf

Handful of tumeric pieces
200 naira garlic
300naira ginger
300 naira cloves
.
Chop all in tiny pieces and soak in a 1.5l bottle of water for 48hrs...
I personally prefer soaking in alchohol
Take one shot 3 times daily( it smells ooo)

You can do up to 2 or 3 bottles. Stop just before ovulation and continue after period

I manage the pain with pain drugs,very high ones like pentazocine.Other times i bear it.
Since source of the pain wasnt found even with surgery,there is nothing much that can be done.

Yes dear,i got pregnant immediately after the zoladex injection. Without drugs or ivf.Like i was still waiting for the period to return,u know zoladex stops the period. So while waiting,after 6 weeks from when i stopped it,found out i was pregnant.

I gave birth via CS. Had placenta previa,so had an emergency CS delivery.

Well after the zoladex,i didnt do anything. I was tired and have already removed my mind from pregnancy,just dt i kept waiting for the period to return so i will know what next to do,and boom was curious to why it was taking long and did test and it was positive.
Though i started some.drugs immediately i found out on my doctor's instructions
Cyclogest insert every night till 14 weeks,vasoprin tablet every day till 14 weeks,clexane injection (hv forgotten how long but it wasnt up to a month) and folic acid. Thats all. Just these 4 drugs after d positive test.

Feel free to ask anything u r not sure of. Will reply once i see it.
Ehe,hope you know the zoladex has the one for 3 months? Thats at a stretch. Thats not d one i took o. Took the one that lasts for a month only. Took it for 2 consecutive months so i could stop whenever i wanted. So just stopped the period for 2 months

I have TTCed for more than 6yrs plus with 3 failed IVFs. I was preparing for my last cycle which was scheduled to begin by September 2022. In my previous cycles, the quality of my eggs and my endometrial were the issues. So my doctor advised me to undergo endometrial scratching and donor egg (mixed) because I am in my mid thirties. So I started my research on how to boost my egg quality which I found some interesting answers here.

I ordered for coast science and DHEA from Amazon. I started taking them immediately after my last failed cycle in June 2022 carrying God along all the time. Wasn't even consistent taking them because i was already exhausted already, too much drugs. So September came for my last cycle to commence, I was waiting for period to begin so I can start my injections and drugs, my period no show oh!!! . I begin panic say the drugs don mess me up and regretting why I even started taking them in the first place. My leave for office don already start counting and no period not to talk of IVF procedure. Na so I started praying and looking for how my period will start oh! Period wen I hate to see before. I called my doctor on the issue and he said I should come that they will place me on treatment and my period will come and the procedure will start. Thank God my husband!! He said to me one morning, why can't you test for pregnancy? You might be pregnant!! I replied tah!! Is the drugs I carried my hand to buy and started taking without doctors prescription that has changed my hormones. He insisted, so one evening I went to one pharmacy close by and purchased pregnancy N200 testing strips. I didn't tell him and I couldn't sleep that night because I was waiting for morning so I can use my urine. My fellow mama!!! I used the first strip for the first time in my life, I saw two thick lines!! What kind of play is this!!! In doubt, I used the second one and still same two lines and I shouted to call my husband with full joy in me shouting hallelujah. We are currently in our second trimester and God has been faithful.
