Lol...
This generation like caution

Parents feel not flogging their children is the "modernised" and right way to bring up a child

Uncle, hanty...I go beat ur pikin if e spoil my thing outta carelessness or in the case of the topic or you go produce those things back ASAP

When you leave children with such mistakes with no action they tend to do it over and over again

I hope shoprite called the cops on the child and the parents, and at least seized their car before proceeding to the police station in cuffs where the dad is locked behind bars for at least 3 hours with the child watching it all unfold. That kind child should be made to see firsthand the consequences of his actions in 5D. undecided

There are so many touts out there who were flogged mercilessly as kids. Flogging is punishment and not meant to take the place of parenting. undecided

Only one parent can be taken away at a time now. And since we day talk Nigeria where the mother is typically the primary guardian, the dad can be locked up while the mother and child sit and watch helplessly as consequences unfold. grin

How his parents are just there watching the boy destroy things without doing anything reasonable about it, is what I don't understand undecided...

And besides, where are the security officials? undecided...

Drop that child for ShopRite, if he can destroy, he can fix.
Or he will start working there to raise money to buy it.

My hand is not included, we must raise responsible kids.

The sales on that day was massive.

What kind of you "hope" is this?
So you think there is a slightest possibility that shoprite would let them go without paying every penny for the damages incurred by the useless piece of shit?

Re: Bad Parenting: Child Destroy TVs On Sale In Shoprite Because He Was Upset by Mindlog: 5:53pm On Jan 11, 2023
That is clearly a child who is not well and dereliction on the part of the parents knowing fully well his destructive tendencies as I believe he regularly trash properties in their home, how the parents and security personnel allowed him get to that height is mind+boggling.

I hope the boy is already seeing a child and adolescent psychiatrist or psychologist because that is a clear reflection of Conduct Disorder (CD) because if care is not taken he may be beaten to death as an adolescent for destructing things in an uncontrolled environment.

His relatives need to skill themselves in restraint training for young persons.

This doesn't seem like a pattern connected with autism. He literally climbed up to cause extensive damage. undecided

Well, since he's from a rich home, his parents should be able to pay for the damages. The total amount of TVs he broke shouldn't be up 2m. They can make transfer to the cashier and carry their wayward kid home.

Where is the Lyon a.k.a MufasaLion? I am very interested in reading your thoughts on this public display of embarrassment since you don't believe in beating children as part and parcel of their training/upbringing.

If this was my child he will not have the guts to pull such a stunt in public, but if for any reason he gets high on Richy's Igbosere weed then forgets himself and misbehaves like this, the kind of beating he will receive ehn, even Heaven will wonder if he is my child and I am his mother.

The moment they start to act up they should be quickly contained and removed from a scene to avoid causing harm to others, themselves or damage to property. Autism should not be an excuse or justification for this level of damage, if I had an autistic child I would be mindful of the public spaces I take him or her to. I'm not saying you're making excuses or justifying this, I am only thinking out loud in response to your post.
Klass, I'm not gonna generalise but I have seen your type way back that was vocal about parenting.... but the moment she had her first child, all her school of thought about good parenting disappearedsmiley.. she even went to an extent of warning a teacher based on disciplining her child..

Yea.. the kid acted really bad... But there are ways one can let a child know that he or she is in trouble without beating them....

There are things that a child desires so much that if u take that away, he or she will almost feel like dying.. that is what those parents have never figured out yet... Beating him will not fix the damaged TV...

There are different ways parents raises their children but if beating helps you achieve the desired results, cool.but I will not beat my kids.. Honestly I will like to see u kick your kid the way Aisha Buhari kicked that boy and missed.. cool

cheesy. I told you before that we smoke different brands of weed na.

At the 1st bolded, Richy make I bend first! I have a strong dislike for badly behaved kids and I would be damned if any child of mine joins the statistics, not on my watch and not while I am alive.

That I carried you for 9 months in my womb and gave birth to you, does not mean I will coddle and pamper you to my own detriment/destruction ooo. Na you born me, abi na me born you? Not every woman is crazy in love or will be crazy in love with their offspring to a point of foolishness.

At the 2nd bolded, there's nothing wrong with adding beating to one of those ways, he must to collect. And yes if I was a parent I will beat my children whenever necessary. Aisha Buhari kicked an eight year old and missed? I was not aware of that, but I am not incapable of kicking my own kid given the right incentive, for example him sexually molesting a 3 year old, being cruel to pets with a knife etc.

Of course when I am done kicking and beating him, I will get him the kind of mental help he needs. This belief that all children are sweet and innocent souls who can do no evil, doesn't resonate with me. I've seen enough crime documentaries to know that such kids escalate from misdemeanors to more violent crimes like rap, brutal assault and murder.
cheesy cheesy grin
OkayOoo. I would have really loved to see your parenting style since kids doesn't come with manual, we tend to try our best..We do trial and error in my household..I can admit that it's not easy..

Aisha kicked an ill behaved young man that accused her online of embezzlement and corruption leading to her weight gain... She missed the kick and the result was a swollen foot because she kicked wrongly grin... That's the kind of things some unruly kids can do to parents if one goes physical.. cheesy
