Once she gets her COS, you can either apply with her or apply after she's gotten her visa.
More info here: https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa/switch-to-this-visa

My partner and I have been together for 9months now. We are both students here in the UK and we will be done with our study this month. She will get her Tier2 Sponsorship soon(Health and Care).
We thought it's better for me to switch to her dependant and not apply for PSW.

What's the process of me becoming her dependant here. Thanks cool

The process is simple - you apply for the visa as usual. You can apply as she's applying or after she gets it. You'll need her sponsor's license number, occupation code and other information to link the applications together.

The bolded is the bigger issue. Are you married? If you're not then it won't work because to go the 'unmarried partner' route you have to show evidence of having been living together as a couple for 2 years.

If you're married abi if you marry before applying, it's straightforward - submit your marriage docs and that's all.

Hello everyone! Quick one please
Are iPhones easier to get in the UK?
Or should I buy a second phone here before I travel?
When you get your credit card, buy an Iphone with contract. It helps boost your credit score.

Why Start off with contract and extra debt as Student when he/she can just get it cheaper in naija and forget about it once and For all?

Lol… Na lie dem dey lie… Just graduated and if I must be honest with you, University of Wolverhampton scored excellent in supporting students and also offering assistance wherever you may need them ( In my humble opinion). Discrimination is everywhere, even the so-called Nigeria, no let that one deter you, everyone is welcoming here. Just know what you are doing, abi na face you come look for UK?…. Their payment plan is very great as well if that’s part of what you are looking for… They can allow you pay in installments until about 2 months to your graduation, their help desk respond to your query within 24 hours. What else are you concerned about?

Student support is bad,the lecturers can be discriminatory

[Witness invite]
Quick one. What you received, is it indicating request to appear in police station or does it say citation letter to appear in Court or it is framed as Subponea (which I doubt at this stage)

It was a citation.

To show up at the court as witness

Thanks for your advice brother

It's 0%APR paid in 48 months, 41GBp per month. Payment for the sim is the same as buying data and a call plan.

To the best of knowledge a student can’t on credit payments the first 1-3 months or even more . I picked the iPhone 14 pro at the apples store couple of months back , My first option was to use the credit approach but was later told I need to must have been in the UK for 3 years.

Other companies / ISPs might accept you but there are chances of high APR . Which on a long run no economical for such liability.

Hi Guys, Quick one and Quick maths please

Let's say I want to withdraw £600 cash from my CC, and it has a 3% cash fee and 30% APR on cash withdrawals, if I want to clear the balance at the end of the month, I am paying about £634 yeah?

Kindly help my little calculation and does it have any effect on my credit score if i withdraw cash on my CC?

My APR is 0% using a Telecom. Only the sim contract will increase with Bank of England interest rate. I got it two months in the UK. Although, I am a senior level professional.

Does the 20 hour term time and no max hour out of term time applicable to a teacher on teir 2 please.

Just wondering, as teachers only get paid for the 9-months of work spread over 12 months and it's more like I will record no working hours during the holiday. Someone is ready to make some extras......

Hi Kaylov12, did you finally get answers to this?
I'm sort of in the same boat.

one month certificate is enough to apply. you dont neccessarily need to be married to apply for visa, the lady can be a partner in as much as u have been staying together and have bills together as evidences.

You can apply with a day-old marriage certificate. Ideally though for such short timelines, you'd supply some photos from your wedding alongside. It's not strictly required though but there have been instances of people trying to abuse the system so anything you can supply to eradicate doubt would be good.

From my own little research, general consensus is to not withdraw cash from your CC

Yeah I get this, but there is a 101% certainty to clear it off by due date, it is just the fees/charges & future consequence that is the concern.

No negative impact on withdrawing cash from your CC......(with a caveat)...........

It's just a slightly more expensive way to spend money...... If you clear balance, your gbese ends ..... grin
