I had this issue too during my child visa application. Child was born and NPC was issued 4 years later.. A NSF was sent for clarification on the gap in the issue date. I was told to clarify this by providing either of these: Give reason why there was a difference in birth date and NPC issue date.( I explained that i had the birth certificate from the hospital and it sufficed for most of the national requirement for the child. It was at the point of international passport application that NPC was required, thus was gotten at that date. I attached the birth certificate issued by the hospital at birth and immunisation schedule) Provide medical records of parent validating the birth ceritificate. ( I used a private hospital then, so i was able to get my lab test results on hospital letterhead, dates of appointement with their consultants and scans in their hospital and the date of birth of child. Also, a letter from the hospital validating this) Old photos of family relationship ( I attached enough. this time ehn, i appreciated myself that i was doing birthdays for her with number on the cake each year. Provide school records to confirm the age of child( I couldn't get this as it doesn't seem like a good proof). They asked for either of them but i gave them like 3. She got a positive decision 3 days later. Pls check the records very well and make sure they are on point so you don't shoot yourself in the leg. Hope this helps. ezegold4we: |

Please o, this is urgent, is it true that one can only enter the uk within the period of 30 days that you have gotten a skilled worker visa when it's written on the vignette and in brp mail that it's valid for 3 months? |

Hi Good evening all.. I started my visa application (standard visitor visa 6 months) few weeks ago, I have paid the 100 gbp fee but haven't booked for biometrics, because I needed to confirm all the necessary documents are ready. I have several questions to ask and seeing rejections on this thread is getting me scared, so I want to be careful before moving on to the next stage. Some background info before I continue pls, my company (based in UK) is sponsoring my travel and I have a brother who moved to UK September for masters, I reside in Nigeria working remotely. 1. For the question, 'Why are they helping to pay for your visit?', my response was 'It is a company sponsored vacation'. 2. I mentioned I have a brother and cousin in the UK and that I will be staying with them (at different times). I hope this doesn't make the ECO think I won't want to return back. And I keep seeing 'provide strong ties' on this thread, do I need to provide this in my case as I am not the one sponsoring my travel? 3. For the questions, What is the main reason for your visit to the UK?, my response was- Tourism (including visiting family and friends) , What is the main reason for your holiday visit to the UK?, my response- Visiting family, Give details of the main purpose of your visit and anything else you plan to do on your trip. my response- I plan to visit my relatives and friends as well as my work colleagues. I would also go sightseeing. 4. I stated that I have 2600gbp in my savings, and I plan on spending 800gbp on my visit (I earn 509gbp monthly; this is if worse comes to worst because like I mentioned earlier my company will be sponsoring the visit with a tentative amount of 1200gbp which I also stated in my application). Is the above going to raise any issues? Please let me know before I pay for biometric etc. The next part of my question is about the documents required. Please can anyone shed more light on what exactly is needed and how best to present the info i. Evidence of support you will receive from your sponsor including details of what support is being provided and how? ii. Evidence of the relationship, if any, between you and your sponsor- I guess this is my employment letter iii. Evidence that your sponsor is not, or will not be, in breach of UK immigration laws at the time of your visit? iv. Evidence of funds available to you, and which are clearly accessible by you- This should be my statement of account Thanks in anticipation. Please note I have no experience applying for a visa, I never travel out of 9ja before so take it easy with me if my questions are too much. |

Good morning all, I want to say thanks to as many experienced travelers out here helping out and answering questions on time God bless all the admins …. I just got my Uk student visa and my names are over 33 characters on my passport but on the visa issued to me this is only containing just 32 Characters the last letter of my name didn’t appear …. Please does this affect the visa validity and what is the standard no of character ukvi visa can accept for people having long names like mine … Looking forward to your response . Thanks |

Jayyjay:your answers make it look like you have done no research at all. Why is your company sponsoring you? Is this routine? Did you help build up the company’s profit and as such are getting rewarded for it? How many other staff have been sponsored like this with proofs? If it were me I wouldn’t mention my brother and cousin as it’s making your application all over the place.. caus in one breath you say your company is sponsoring the trip, in the next breath you are going to see your brother and cousin Please think of ur answers and also think like a visa officer especially as you have no travel history What else is going for you? Are u married? Any assets? Any elderly parents? What will bring you back to Nigeria? Also just saying sightseeing is not enough… show that u have researched on what it is to be a tourist… you say you plan to visit your friends, relatives and work colleagues… hmm .. then evidence of support from ur sponsor.. your company should give you enough documentation including a well written letter on why they are sponsoring your trip, what would be sponsored, how much you will receive, how you will receive it, confirm that you are a staff etc If they routinely sponsor staff like this for holiday then they should also mention this Evidence of ur sponsor not been in breach of uk immigration- for individual sponsors usually they provide their resident permits or British passports here Evidence of funds available to you- basically bank statements from your sponsor or like I said well written letter. If your sponsor is like a global organisation with good records no one will demand to see their bank statement but will work based on their ‘name’ U will also need to submit ur bank statement The koko is make a project about why your company is sponsoring a staff holiday Then you also in the same vein said you will be spending 800 pounds of your money.. why please? 3 Likes |

Good morning ladies and gentlemen. Thank you for the good works you do on this thread. Through this thread and with the help of few friends I was able to get a 6month visit visa last year. I'm back again, this time to seek information on how to go about family visit visa to UK, husband, wife and two children. Please help reference information I need to make this a success. Thank you. |

giselle237: Thank you for your response. We are not visiting any settled family in the UK, I probably don't know the right term to use. What I mean is, I, my wife and our two children want to apply for UK visa. I intend to apply for 2 years visa for myself while I apply for 6 month visa for wife and the children. |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Jayyjay: 10:10pm On Jan 14, 2023 |
giselle237: Thanks for your response. I am being rewarded with a vacation to the UK, the other staff that have been sponsored are Indians, I am the first Nigerian. I mentioned visiting my family because that's the major thing I will be doing there, so I innocently filled it. But from what I have read on this thread, I guess I shouldn't talk about family. Are u married? Any assets? Any elderly parents? What will bring you back to Nigeria? No I am not married, no assets and my parents are here in Nigeria, but I have a business I just registered last year. For the question 'How much money are you personally planning to spend on your visit to the UK?', which I previously answered 800gbp, I can just leave it blank right? Lastly, can I cancel the application and re-submit again with better answers (ps I have not booked or paid on the tls platform). |
