Obi has consistently defended ipob when given the opportunity to condemn them and their activities. He recently said he'd bring Kanu out of prison if he is made president. About violence, Obi has been accused of killing many people and throwing their bodies in a river, he has been accused of involvement in drugs, accused of arresting and detaining opposition, stopping opposition from legal use of services and equipment etc.

This is a discussion forum, meaning that it is meant to be educative. There's no need to generalize, that's exactly what people are criticizing an artiste for on Twitter and trying to make him lose an award.
Wanting a new nation or Biafra is not the same as belonging to ipob. ipob is just one of many separatist movements. Ipob has been very criminal and reckless with their mode of operations and Obi has treated them so far as his brethren. He has never for once spoken against them or complained or condemn, especially for one who complains so much about every other thing, that is a red flag. Ipob leader called him a physical and spiritual member of the organization. Still no denial. He will rather divert issues like the politician that he is.
