Hostilities can only cease when Kiev stops posing a threat to Moscow, the nation’s UN envoy has said.

The Ukraine conflict may be concluded either through diplomatic, or military means, but only after Moscow has achieved its goals, Russia’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Vassily Nebenzia, said on Friday.

Speaking at a briefing at the UN Security Council, the envoy commented on a possible path for ending the hostilities between the two sides. The opportunity to settle the conflict “will only present itself once Ukraine stops posing a threat to Russia and discriminating against Russian-speaking Ukrainians,” he said.

Nebenzia noted that “if this result can be achieved through negotiations, we stand ready for this scenario. If not – then our tasks will be achieved by military means.”

The diplomat reiterated that Russia is fighting not against the Ukrainian people, but rather against “the criminal nationalist regime which came to power in 2014” after a coup in Kiev. The new Ukrainian leadership has been trying to purge the country of “everything that is related to Russia, and to glorify Nazi accomplices,” he said.

Nebenzia stated that “everything could have ended differently for Ukraine,” if Kiev had enforced the now-defunct Minsk Agreements, which were signed in 2014 and 2015 in a bid to pave the way for peace by granting the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics special status within the Ukrainian state.

However, neither Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky or his predecessors, nor France and Germany, which took part in negotiating the Minsk Agreements, ever intended to fulfill the plan, according to Nebenzia. This diplomatic process “only served as a smokescreen behind which they secretly armed Ukraine in order to set it against Russia,” he stated.

Last month, former German Chancellor Angela Merkel admitted that the Minsk Agreements were “an attempt to give Ukraine time” so that its army could get stronger. Later, this revelation was confirmed by former French President Francois Hollande, who noted that the Minsk Agreements had helped Ukraine to achieve that goal.

Merkel’s and Hollande’s confessions caused an uproar in Moscow, with Russian officials describing them as “formalization of betrayal.

In December, Ukraine floated the idea of a “Global Peace Summit,” building on Zelensky’s “peace formula,” which in particular demanded Russia withdraw its troops from all territories claimed by Kiev. Moscow dismissed the plan as ignoring the new status of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics as well as Kherson and Zaporozhye Regions, and Crimea, as parts of Russia.

Kiev wants to hold the summit at the UN headquarters in New York on February 24, with no indication that Moscow would be invited.

Winter is the major season where Russia has advantage in this war because it has the power to cut energy supply to non allies and destroy ukrainian power infrastructure and this is what they have been doing. Winter will soon end and this advantage will go.
Re: Russia Outlines Endgame For Ukraine Conflict. Russians Support Pres Putin by Nobody: 4:25pm On Jan 14, 2023
Russia will prevail without 'winter advantage'
Mauripol wasn't liberated in the winter season.

A quick reminder:
"The territory of the Azovstal metallurgical plant in Mariupol, where a group of Ukrainian militants from Nazi formation Azov was blocked since April 21 (2022), has been completely liberated," Konashenkov told a briefing, adding that the Russian military is also in control of "the underground facilities of the plant where militants were hiding."

The West has continued to pump Ukraine with weapons after the liberation of Mauripol but it hasn't changed the outcome. Those weapons didn't stop the strategic and militarily significant town of Soledar from being liberated by Russian forces.

They'll keep announcing 'game changer' weapons delivery for Ukraine every now and then.
If they had sent all the 'sophisticated' weapons in thier inventory in the preceding months, they'll be left with no 'talking points' this month.
These talking points are not only used to preserve the morale of the terrorists (fighting on behalf of Kiev and it's Nazi sympathizers) from falling, they're also used to save the West from disgrace and embarrassment especially as Russia continues to prevail despite these 'sophisticated' weapons.
Zelensky would be thrown under the bus(like Ashraf Ghani), the West/NATO will argue that they were not formally involved and will blame the Ukrainians for not being effective and efficient with the weapons they sent to them.
They already have the prelude and excuses for thier defeat.
The West also has to protect it's pride and it's millitary reputation but Moscow has demystified the West and it's overglorified abilities.

The West had hoped thier sanctions would trigger waves of public unrest in Russia leading to the Russians overthrowing their president. Then the West will creep in and influence the installation of an Ashraf Ghani or Zelensky (a puppet).
Russia subsequently loses it's sovereignty and join thier bandwagon, then shift thier attention to subduing China.
After these checks and balances(Russia and China) to thier tyranny are contained, they'll isolate Iran/North Korea. Subsequently, the West will formally colonize Africa again.
Their scheme to subjugate Russia failed, it has left them clueless and confused.
They believe in the pipe dream that whilst they prolong the conflict, an opportunity for sparking serious internal conflict within Russian politics will arise.

Prolonging the conflict in Ukraine only leads to much more destruction and casualties for Ukraine. This is in stark contrast to some losses that Russia will encounter.

So kiev without nuclear weapons is a threat to Russia with nuclear arsenals. Orisirsi!!!. If Ukraine has 1% of Russia arsenals, there would be peace in eastern europe.

"So kiev without nuclear weapons is a threat to Russia with nuclear arsenals."
So is it Kiev with nuclear weapons that's fighting Russia today?
Did you read your statement? Did you think before writing? How does your statement align with current realities?

Just as I predicted

Kiev sent poorly-equipped volunteers to defend key Donbass city – The Times

Newspaper report paints a grim picture of Ukrainian defense forces in the strategically important city of Artyomovsk
Re: Russia Outlines Endgame For Ukraine Conflict. Russians Support Pres Putin by Nobody: 5:29pm On Jan 16, 2023
Ukrainian forces defending the Donbass city of Artyomovsk (called Bakhmut by Kiev), are facing “an often desperate, regularly fatal” action, according to British newspaper The Times. Ukrainian officials have been downplaying the advances in the area made by Russian troops last week.

Last weekend, Moscow claimed to have fully seized the town of Soledar, located ten kilometers northeast from Artyomovsk. Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar claimed on Sunday that fighting for the town was actually ongoing, and warned against publishing “unsanctioned” information about the situation on the ground.

Unsanctioned information translates to information that's not in tune with Nazi propaganda.
Re: Russia Outlines Endgame For Ukraine Conflict. Russians Support Pres Putin by Nobody: 5:30pm On Jan 16, 2023
The article printed by The Times on Monday apparently goes against the warning, since it includes accounts from some of the Ukrainian troops that were overwhelmed by Russian forces in Soledar and pulled back to Artyomovsk.

One such unit didn’t have access to “all the high-end smart weapons given to the Ukrainian army’s elite regiments by NATO,” the publication noted. Soldiers in it had little combat experience. Their participation in the fight for Soledar was mostly shooting in the general direction from which they believe they're under attack, the newspaper said.

According to The Times, Russian troops have locked Artyomovsk in a pincer, and Kiev’s forces in the city are waiting for it to close. It described the city’s defenders as mostly volunteers, including some foreign fighters.

The Ukrainian military “has kept its crack units out of the defense of Bakhmut and Soledar,” the newspaper reported, claiming that Moscow was interested in capturing them as “symbolic victories” rather than for military considerations.

Are these crack units sipping juice instead of working?
Weren't they informed that thier services is needed? Are they blaming the Ukrainian military for not being efficient (like I predicted)
Ukraine said not one inch of Ukrainian territory but it continues to lose ground.
In summary, NATO'S excuse is BS.
Re: Russia Outlines Endgame For Ukraine Conflict. Russians Support Pres Putin by Nobody: 5:37pm On Jan 16, 2023
Artyomovsk is part of a 70-kilometer-long defense line created over the years by Kiev. Russia claims sovereignty over the city along with the rest of the Donetsk People’s Republic. The Donbass province joined Russia in October after a referendum, which Kiev rejected as a “sham.”

The Russian army credited the private military group Wagner for playing the key role in storming Soledar. The Times dismissed the controversial force as “murderers and robbers, gray from years in its grim jails.”

The characteristic is apparently based on claims that the unit recruited convicts, offering a pardon in exchange for risky military service. Officials in Kiev offered inmates in Ukrainian custody the same deal in the early days of the conflict.

The Times claimed that the Wagner Group had suffered heavy losses in Soledar. Evgeny Prigozhin, the head of the force, claimed that an estimated 500 Ukrainian troops were killed in the final stage of the fighting.

Are we normalizing western hypocrisy? @ bolded.

What happened to the Ukrainian convicts serving as combatants for the Nazi regime?
I'm curious.

The West needs better excuses, they need competent persons for damage control.
Thier PR person is actually self sabotaging and doing more damage.
