Former President Donald Trump claimed that E. Jean Carroll, who has accused him of sexual assault, said that "rape was sexy" and "indicated that she loved it" when he was deposed in connection to her defamation lawsuit in October. Judge Lewis A. Kaplan unsealed a portion of Trump's deposition on Friday after his lawyers lost a bid to keep them private. 2 Likes 1 Share

A Virginia bill would deem a pregnant person's fetus a passenger in a car, thereby allowing the vehicle to use the car pool lane on highways. HB 1894, which a Republican legislator pre-filed in the General Assembly on Tuesday, "provides that a pregnant woman shall be considered two people for the purposes of determining occupancy" in high occupancy vehicle and high occupancy toll lanes on expressways in the state. 2 Likes |

However, in China: BYD Co. jumped from the 10th place on the retail sales chart in 2021 to the top in 2022, replacing Volkswagen AG’s joint venture with FAW Group Co., which slipped to second place. BYD’s overall sales—which includes all-electric cars and plug-in hybrids—more than tripled from a year earlier to 1.86 million cars. Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd. sold more than 262,000 EVs in 2022, of which around 72,000 were from Zeekr, its premium EV brand launched in late 2021.Tesla Inc. delivered more than 710,000 EVs from its Shanghai factory last year. Prices for Tesla’s two most popular electric-car models saw further cuts last week, by as much as 13%. The Model 3’s starting price in China is now 30% cheaper than it sells for on the company’s U.S. website. More than four million ALL-electric vehicles were sold last year in China, five times more than that sold in the U.S. last year, cementing China’s place as the world’s top EV market. It’s happening guys. I told you the democrats are getting ready to throw Biden under the bus. They DON’T want him on the ticket for 2024. He made a mistake when he said he intends to run for re-election. They want to make sure that doesn’t happen. Had he not said that, this classified documents case would have never come up I promise you. Cc: Basilico, IjeBos 2 Likes

budaatum: He didn’t get rid of Trump, that old fool didn’t even come out of his basement throughout the entire campaign, the Chinese communist party got rid of Trump with their Perfectly timed Covid-19 biological attack. The corrupt mainstream media and social media cabal also helped with their censorship of negative Biden stories just before the election. Poll after poll has proven that if not for Covid and the social media suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story, Trump would have won that election hands down. In a sense he is not wrong when he says the election was stolen because Biden was given a helping hand by china and the media. To suggest that old senile dunce beat Trump all by himself is absurd. You should know better.

Ekemeze: This is not new. The generation you called old right now were the Woodstock generation that went on sexual revolution that protested against Vietnam in their youth. They were very liberal in their youth as they grew older they became conservative Why? Think of the issues you care about as a youth and now issues that you will care about in your 40s In your 20s you have no money, no child no asset to protect so its okay to advocate for free college, teaching sexuality to everyone and making taxes 70%, you want to live in the city center where the parties are, you don't care about safety much because for most part you can protect yourself, You can get on an unplanned road trip with your friends and just eat anything you see In your 50s you have money do you want to pay for someone else college? You have your own children do you want them to be indoctrinated as kids? You have you own asset do you want to pay 70% taxes? Do you want to live in the city center and have a nightclub next door, Do you just make spontaneous decisions without considering your dependent It's why people change in life as they grow older. When you have little responsibility life looks to you like it's a big party and the street is filled with candy. You think it's Utopia When the realities of growing up hit you. You have things to protect you think deeper about consequences I remember as youths you can join any riots or rallies because it felt good that you're fighting for a cause without thinking of the consequences. You can even punch someone, damage his property and get won't sue you because you have nothing As a guy in mid management or top management in your late 40s to 50, do you want any arrest or criminal record that might lead to job loss loss of income and your family stranded or punch someone and get sued for all you have? 1 Like |

SlyFoxxWontDie: What you will notice generally is with less responsibility in life you are likely to be very liberal as you get more responsibility you become more conservative. Whether man or woman. The most liberal demographic are unmarried women and the most conservative are married men especially characteristic of unmarried women. For example, in 2016, Clinton prevailed over Trump by 31 percentage points among unmarried women (63% for Clinton vs. 32% for Trump). Among unmarried men, Clinton won by just 2 points, 46% to 44%. https://www.unmarried.org/featured/why-unmarried-women-more-often-than-married-women-vote-for-democrats-new-research-suggests-a-new-answer/ |

Exit poll data on voter turnout revealed that married individuals favored the GOP during this year’s midterms, while unmarried women significantly favored Democrats Married men voted for Republicans 20% more than they did for Democrats. Single men also favored GOP candidates on the ballot, but by a much slimmer margin of 7%, according to CNN exit polls. https://www.google.com/amp/s/katv.com/amp/news/nation-world/gop-favored-by-married-people-while-dems-strongly-supported-by-unmarried-women-exit-polls |

Ekemeze:You are not wrong. Population of voters win elections. The votes of married men and seniors alone are not often enough to win elections. You need votes across various demographics. This is what the Democrats have mastered and gets them the popular votes. A more comprehensive exit polls for 2022 midterms: Exit polls are surveys of voters taken as they exit their polling place. The exit poll also includes interviews with early in-person voters and a telephone poll is conducted for absentee voters. The results are used to explain how people voted and why. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2022-elections/exit-polls Few demographics below out of many. 1 Like

Re: American Politics Thread - 2024 Elections — Biden’s Presidency! by SlyFoxxWontDie: 5:59pm On Jan 16, 2023 |
saxywale2: Republicans got 36% of Gen z in the midterms bro. That’s the group you claim to have in your pocket. They also won the popular vote in that election too (I noticed liberals are not bragging about popular vote again). They are also gaining ground with the Latino vote. See what DeSantis did in Miami-dade county? The idea that Republicans are only dependent on married people and senior for votes is a lie and misconception that will seriously bite the democrats in the next election if they keep believing it. Yes our voters tend to be older but older doesn’t mean married people or seniors only. There are many more groups that fit the description of “older” than that. This same Gen z we are taking about will be “older” one day too and their voting patterns will definitely change as well. That’s my point
