Those guys don’t like people mis-representing information.
I will advise the agent should make enquiries on how to fix this.
The VO would never believe it was an oversight.
If your hubby hasn’t travelled, he can go back to them to cancel his visa and explain he misrepresented then apply properly.
Because even if he travels, he can’t apply for his dependents (kids) that are older than his visa.
Or he goes back and say you guys were divorced then and you’ve reconciled now.

Damn!!! But it’s on record they are the ones not giving you jobs. You should have an issue with the home office. Find customer service job nah. Or just get something doing. You can’t be spending NAIRA in the UK o

Still...domt worry much......its not that horrible....
He just need to write a cover letter to back your application when u want to join him...to explain the error was from an agent who erroneously filled the single status..

U will need water and air tight proof that u have been married apart from marriage certificate .e.g. Whats app chat..that date back 2 years or more, picture, statement showimg credit btw u both?? Birth certificate showimg both ur names...

.because the ECO will automatically treat u as partners...

Perhaps, employer is having contract issues with new clients and prospects…which is unfortunate. From what I understand, to get approval from home office to bring him oversea employees, sponsors must justify the roles they are coming to play…

He should look for another job naaa.. if its care job.. i think its on UKVI website he can do same role else where without notifying the home office

If dependant intends to apply for professional jobs, then it’s better to get a NARIC/ECCTIS certificate on his/her degree certificate (please google how to do that)

U know these embassy pple dont trust africans...
they always assume we are lying until cant fimd proof for any lies....so weda it was an error or he's actually single... the eco will likely treat ur case with the mind set that its a common law partner application (i.e two pple living together but not married)

With enough proof u should be fine

the good thing is that the embassy recognizes common law partner..... which will make ur case a bit easier

It’s a risk worth taking but if I’m the ECO, it’ll be a hard sell… they had the time to cancel the application form and fill another one before biometrics…there was enough time if it was actually an error…
So the ECO may think this is an after thought or an arrangement to attach unqualified persons to his visa approval.

Please try your luck and I wish you favour…but show enough proof and attach a written explanation from your husband…

It wont be an error anymore...but an honest mistake...... he chose single because they were not married and ddnt know the civil partnership apllies to them at the time of the application.

2. If yes, can his visa application be delayed till then or must he apply along the parents? This is because of the Passport delay.

3. Is the priority visa fee ( £500 ) or standard visa fee payable according to the official or black market rate?

I believe anyone who gets COS before 14th or 15th February should scale through, even if they end it in February. Fingers crossed.

Pls if my spouse is already in UK and his company ticked maintenance in his sponsorship letter and I want to apply after three months of his departure to UK, do I still need to provide Statement of account or am I covered by his sponsorship letter where maintenance was ticked?

This is nice advice. Guidance from an immigration lawyer may also be helpful in this situation.

Obviously. The agent wouldn’t have submitted the application without the applicant going through the forms for corrections

The agent might have asked some vital info, including his marital status as this route gives room for dependant.
Her husband requested the service of an agent and he dint bother to cross check.
Abegy, that man actually wanted to be free and travel single.

Same man that wants to be free and travel alone is the same person that has sent proof of funds for the 3 dependants, got accommodation, and has bought all that's needed for the whole family to travel. I'm aware the agent filled his become because I saw their whatsapp conversation where he gave him password and asked him to take over. He's even more surprised because he kept insisting that there's nothing like marital status on visa application. I had to go back to the chat with the agent to retrieve the password and download the application. It's not time to find faults. We just need suggestions.
