There is no definite answer to your proof of funds question, as it depends on other factors like duration of studies and sponsorship. For example, if you are sponsoring yourself, you must have the tuition fees and living expenses for the duration of your program. On the other hand, if you are using a sponsor, you can show just the cost of education for one year, regardless of the duration of your studies. However, realistically, showing just the minimum is not recommended; it does not make sense for the sponsor to spend all the funds on your education.

It’s not about the length of the SoP; the most important thing is to identify and discuss the red flags in your application. Then, be concise and let the SoP flow with a logical sequence.

You can attach the medical information sheet to your application.
Thank you for responding,
My sponsor is my dad, is it advisable to apply if there's around three to four times more than the first year fees in the account? the account has a high transaction volume as well.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by bullstriker: 7:35pm On Jan 15, 2023
Yes, it's acceptable. Apply with your son; don't add your spouse.
Have you completed post-secondary education, and is your intended program related to your present occupation?

You can apply with your spouse and son if you have strong ties in Nigeria and are financially buoyant. You need to apply for a study permit for your son if he is of school age. Having said that, the best option is to apply alone, but I don’t know if you can afford to travel without your son. So, I recommend you apply with your son; your spouse can apply for SOWP once you arrive in Canada.
Thank you for your response
Many thanks

i don't think you understand, they've already gotten the PPR.
My advice Gart, i'm not a guru and i have basic knowledge about this but, if they have a phone number you should try calling them to clear things up and they should issue you another admission offer or you wait for them to reply your email, you emailed on the 12th of January or later if i'm not wrong, so you should get a reply in the next few days

Gurus in the house pls I need your advice
In my first Application, my uncle was my sponsor and he deposited an amount that covers the living expenses and tuition fees into my account but it was deposited in cash not by bank transfer transfer due to the nature of his business(Trader). In the application I submitted affidavit of sponsorship, my SOA, the payment receipts given to him when he deposited the money into my account thrice but I didn't include the sponsor's SOA. I submitted the application a month after the money was deposited and I was able to explained the lump sum yet my application was denied. I just joined NL few weeks ago I was able to figure out that I submitted the wrong documents. Pls I want to know what documents should I include when I reapply? Can I use my SOA as POF if the money stays more than five month in my account before my next application? Do I need to include the month the lump sum was deposited in the SOA I will be using for the Pof?

Hello Ola,

I wouldn't categorically state what could be the reason for your refusal. I'm so sorry for your refusal. First thing first, please I advice don't rush to reapply. Kindly order for your note to have an overview of the VOs comment. That will guide you properly in tackling the points the VOs used in denying your application.

Now, if you still want to reapply without getting your note, you can still get approval.

First, as the money was paid into your account by cash deposit and not transfer, what was the narration on the teller and the depositor name? ( This is just a thought, can you get hold of same deposit slip?)

Now, for depositing money into your account, he is now your sponsor, so you will need some legal document to back up the funds he sent to you to prove that the money was sent to you for the sole purpose of your studies. So you will need a gift deed, sponsorship letter and sponsorship declaration letter( all notarized). Then you need to prove relationship with the sponsorship being a 3rd party sponsor. Also, sponsor needs to show he is capable of taking care of you while he cares for his own immediate family. So the sponsor needs to show his POF as well. It helps to show the VO that sponsor is well established to care for your studies while taking care of his or her own immediate family need without needing the money back.

Also, did you make any commitment to the school. One thing I advice when you use a sponsor or have lump sums sent to ones account is to show commitment by paying atleast tuition deposit from the money to show that the money is for studies. We can't have money sent to our accounts and we never made commitment, they VO might see it as fund for demonstration purposes only which will be returned after visa approval.

Another way also is if you can have the sponsor to pay tuition deposit from his or her account, this will also help to in a way convince the VO that your sponsor is really out to sponsor you.

Again. So sorry for your refusal

It will surely end in praises. Just never give up.

Apologies for calling the TOWN HALL meeting.. need your advice. here is my story.

My wife has a Bsc but has never worked. graduated 5years ago. (5years study gap)
She's in her early 30s
We have a child.
We want her to be the primary applicant, so she'll go for Masters or any better program
Husband own a small business.

Is there a chance of getting admission? if Yes, what is our chances of getting visa, if we are able to pay the 1se semester fee and show enough funds in SOA, can husband be the sponsor or any one of us can?

Hello,

As already advised by others. 5years gap isn't the issue so long as School didn't state in their requirements. All you need to look out for is if she merits the admission requirements.

Now since she is the primary applicant, you can be her sponsor. Now, many a times, due to the uncertainty in Canada study Visa pattern, applicants tends to let a spouse apply alone while they spouse apply later.

We have noticed a shift in trend of recent as IRCC now wants spouses of temporary residents to come with work permit to fill up the labour shortage.

That being said, you can choose to let her apply alone, once hers is approved, you apply to go with her based of support and family reunification.

This is just added advice outside of what you asked.

So in a nutshell, what you asked is very much obtainable. No problem whatsoever.

All the best

Mail them admission to fanshawe will be done for you at no cost except your 100 CAD application fees.
Please the last mail I got from ircc is this, how do I get the tracking number for their courier service as I don't know how to track our passports

If the college or university didn't request for it before granting you admission , then you dont need to provide it.

Hello,

Please my case is a bit complicated. I have my salary account with inflow and outflow of 18.9M and 18.3M respectively for the whole year 2022 with a balance of less than 1M due to some ongoing project. When I received my LOA, I needed to raise funds so< i obtained a loan of 2 million from a bank and was enforced to use their own account whereby, I won't be able to move the money to my salary account which I accepted. I converted this new account to my salary account with my 13th month and December salaries paid into this account ( both values roughly 2 million).

I have paid my full tuition for the 1 year and only needed about 5 million for my living expenses and Miscellaneous.
By ending of this month, I will be able to raise the remaining part of the money but by Feb which I plan to submit my application, the new account will only be 3 months by then. Can I use 3 months' SOA with the majority of my POF and add my previous salary account SOA already printed for a whole year showing 18.9M inflow and 18.3M outflow?

NOTE:
3 months SOA with 6M,
12 months SOA with a balance of 800k ( Inflow and outflow of 18.9M and 18.3M respectively).
I have 25% of my 14M RSA also available with a reference letter but my major concern is if I will be able to use 3 months SOA combined with SOA for a whole year with little balance

Hello Canadian Gurus,

Please just a couple of questions . . . What are the downsides to studies through the route of Graduate Certificate Programs. Is it more difficult to get study visas for graduate certificate programs compared to graduate diplomas or masters?

My sister has a bachelor degree with a CGPA of 2.6, hence we have to go for colleges, but finding graduate diplomas of 2years have been kinda challenging but we've seen a bunch of graduate certificate programs. I just want to get a sense of Canadian Visa Officers sentiments towards graduate certificate programs . . . is it too much trouble getting student visas for such programs?

Also, my sis is looking to travel for this studies with 4kids. What are her chances of getting visas for her kids if she applies to study a 1year graduate certificate program?
