raumdeuter: Yup. You summarized it perfectly. Voting patterns change with age, responsibility and life experiences. That’s why I’m not worried about Gen Z at all. The Republican Party does not change its message to target young liberal voters. It usually happens the other way round; young liberals get mature and realize “those republicans are have actually been talking sense”. I know that’s exactly what happened to me. 1 Like |

Ekemeze: If this simplistic stuff you wrote is really their plan then they have failed woefully. A lot of false assumptions in your write up but I will address them later. For now I will just say this; democrats have been proclaiming the “death” of the Republican Party and total domination of American politics by Democrats for literally 2 decades now, what you posted about no republic president ever again is not any thing new. They’ve been saying it for decades and Republicans have still won elections in that time. I think they are getting a little carried away and excited by the midterm elections, let’s see if it doesn’t come back to bite them soon. Like I said there were many unique factors in that election that led to the red wave not materializing like people expected but don’t forget republicans still won the house and the popular vote in that same election! Does that sound like a dying party to you? |

Ekemeze:The anti-science tag got me laughing alot Like if people tag you something, you then go ahead to prove it that they were right. Like they know how the Confederate flag is viewed by minorities, yet it's a popular site at Republican rallies. 3 Likes 1 Share

Ekemeze: You are right that American politics is very complex. One of those complexities you need to understand is that you don’t need to have the most voters to win elections and wield power nationally. You just need to win the right combinations of states. Democrats have always had “more voters” if you are just talking about raw numbers because they control the major coastal population centers like New York and and California but If you look at almost any recent election map, majority of the country, particularly most states between both coasts, is actually red! This is not going to change any time soon. America will never be a one party state, it’s democracy is too sophisticated for that. so this liberal utopia that democrats keep dreaming off and proclaiming is going to remain a pipe dream forever 2 Likes 2 Shares

SlyFoxxWontDie:That was also funny indeed. Although Hank wasn't anti-science like discrediting global warming. He is just plain ignorant. Inhofe brought the snow ball to prove that climate change is not real. He even authored a book just to fight environmental/physical science even though he trained as an economist. I remember the long fight over incandescent light bulb vs LED bulbs too. This fight has been ongoing since the days of George W Bush. It's just conservatives being conservatives. Chris Mooney wrote a book titled: The Republican War on Science. It was published in 2005 .its a good book.

Gladly, since the advent of the LED bulbs, technology has now further advanced to create LEDs that look like exactly incadescent bulbs. Best of both world. Sometimes the industry needs to be pushed to innovate. 2 Likes 1 Share

Konquest: Yes, they are. I reviewed the program rules and regulations, very interesting to say the least but I feel they’re very fair and will lessen taxpayers’ burdens. I’m curious to see the amount that participate, especially since the financial sponsors are bound to a great deal of responsibility. 1 Like 1 Share |

adamusuleiman3: I’m happy that I was able to sell my Model 3 in late November, slightly ahead of the crowd. My mind was on the big amount of Teslas that Hertz bought for their rental fleet and that’ll eventually flood the used car market with, selling them as rental returns. I haven’t been driving my new car that long but it already has better range and features than my old car. I hear that one of another manufacturer’s models has better range also. Looks like Tesla might be in trouble. 1 Like |

1stGenAmerican:1stGenAmerican, how's it going? Ah! You finally sold the Tesla 3. I remember you told me in our convo last year that you were gonna do so. That was a smart move from you in the light of the emergence of EV alternatives to Teslas, that have far better ranges. Things are lining up quickly in the EV sector. That's the catch from here on out. "Better ranges." Lol. What EV model do you drive now? More folks are planning to ditch Teslas because of an eclectic mix of performance issues... and Elon's weird attitudes that have led to sharp drops in investors' share values in Tesla, and then the Twitter quagmire since he became the owner. I can see Tesla running into more headwinds if they do not come up with more innovations that appeal to the mass markets especially in the West! However, Tesla performed well in China with a rising market share in 2022. 4 Likes 4 Shares |

1stGenAmerican: They all got to give back covid inflation gains first, but perhaps Tesla more than most. The used-vehicle market now has a huge hangover: The price spike from August 2020 till early 2022. Over this period, retail prices spiked by mind-boggling ridiculous amounts – 40% per the average used vehicle listing price, according to Cox Automotive; 53% per the used-vehicle CPI, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics – though there never was a shortage of used vehicles. 1 Like |
