Good day, I am gathering documents to submit spousal sponsorship application (outland) , please can anyone guide on who is required to write letter of explanation solely for the application ( how we met/context of relationship)? Sponsor only or both sponsor and applicant? Also is letter of explanation mandatory to be Included ?
Anyone can write it. I am the PA and wrote it with my spouse's input of course. If you have reasons to straighten gray areas, make use of the LOE.

I did to be on the safe side as the photo I initially submitted just clocked 6 months.

The requirement is that the photo should not be more than 6 months from the date you receive ppr.

I did VFS Nigeria. I submitted passport in Lagos Vfs. I am not in a hurry to travel so I am willing to risk the long wait time for passport return. Hopefully, it's not longer than 4 weeks Lol...

Yes. Did so through ezylinkage.com

Used it to apply for my PR

Hello everyone, please is it possible to get a Police character certificate from Nigeria without being available in person? Already in Canada as a visitor and applying for an inland spousal sponsorship and i am requested to submit PCC.
OR is it possible to use the last one i did, which already expired since May and attach a letter of explanation to explain why i can't get a new one done?

Also can i use a sworn declaration of age in place of a birth certificate and also attach a letter of explanation?
Thanks in advance

LANDING GIST!

I just landed in Canada few hours ago via Ethopian airlines from Lagos Airport.

I registered on arrive can, switch health, and printed all documents before arriving Lagos airport.
The guy who pushed my trolley attempted to scam me 7500 for yellow card, amongst other scams, but I remembered narrations on nairaland so I didn’t fall for any. I didn’t spend any money during the journey, but you can give tips as the Spirit leads.

After showing my passport, I passed my bags through the machine just near the Lagos airport door. I then went straight to Ethiopian airlines check-in counter admist the crazy queue. Those check-in staff are not smiling, be prepared with your documents make them nor delay you.
My bags didn’t exceed the limit & I suggest you go at least 4-5 hours before the flight just incase.

After about 4 more security checks, I boarded & arrived addis ababa some hours later where I was able to use the free airport wifi to update loved ones. Ethiopian airlines was ok, nothing bad to say. It was a long flight & having to seat for so long in such confined space does a number on the body.

Arrived Toronto Pearson quite early in the morning & I think that plays a role in how relaxed the airport & staff were as I wasn’t subjected to much questioning. Having all documents on hand in paper really helps. Make sure you’re organized & calm, your documents may speak for you & questions were minimal to none in my case. Don’t be afraid to ask polite questions when looking for directions or clarity.

Since I registered with switch health, I was directed to a shorter queue for arrival covid test which was the last stop before finally exiting the airport. I didn’t pay for the test & I wasn’t told anything about quarantine. I am fully vaccinated & wore my mask & sanitized at all times cos I don’t want a positive covid test result. It didn’t really snow much at the time I arrived, however it is cold here.

It’s been a while guys. Canada is a good country, see for yourself on this YouTube channel which you can subscribe to for live updates

Wishing everyone the best, Happy new year!

Good evening everyone,
Please I am kind of worried.
My daughter did upfront medical November 28 2022,and I was told her medical results was sent to IRCC that same date.
January 09 2023 I got her medical request, I even had to send a proof of her upfront medical we did to IRCC that same date through webform for them to update it, up till now it hasn’t been updated, it’s more than a week now still no updates.
I am worried bcus the medical request letter says 30days is given, and now they still haven’t done anything.
Has anyone experienced this before?
