Greetings to everyone. All praise to Yahweh!!! My heartfelt gratitude to “Coulson”, Mary, Joel, Aaron (well I don’t know if the three latter are on here), and everyone that have contributed/contributing positively to this thread! Below is my own timeline/quota/Contribution School - RMIT Program - Health Science (PhD) 7/12/2022 - lodged in my visa application 12/12/2022 - medicals 4/1/2023 - Received s56 receipt (Case Officer asked for evidence of current location). 16/1/2023 - Received Grant. Note: No biometrics Reason - Mainland China is not among the countries listed on the biometrics collection program. Although I called and emailed DHA (department of home affairs), and was instructed to attach a letter to my immiaccount regarding the situation. “ If you are resident in a country not listed on the biometrics collection program, be rest assured that it can be waived.” Shalom!!! [/quote] Congratulations bro |

Sylvyangel: Yes, but not that easy. It can only happens when the school is on holidays. Others money that you earned will be going to your basic needs. So, plan well. My candid advise, if you can pay or have your tuition fee for a year from Nigeria. It will helps you a long way. Shalom 3 Likes |

Let me try to answer your question above. It's always better to go for 2 years and above program because of life after school i.e, eligibility to apply for PR and the likes. I don't know much also but i hope this helps. hustla: |

Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Solitin40: 2:25am On Jan 18, 2023 |
Tobiea:1.Edith Cowan University - Joondalup 2.James Cook University - Brisbane My reason being that if you complete a qualification or qualifications taking at least 2 years of study in Australia, you will obtain extra points for skilled migration (PR) and may be eligible for a Graduate Temporary Subclass 485 Visa (Post-study Visa). I did not choose Tasmania because of job availability and the extreme cold there. All of these are just my opinion, and you should do your own research before making a decision. |

Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by AKASBABA1: 8:19am On Jan 18, 2023 |
afam4life: I won't recommend schools in Perth is you have to work, getting a job in Perth is difficult as a student. The rest are fine so long tuition fee is less than 40k per annum . |

Moloncho:Being pregnant cannot hamper your grant but you have to notify your health insurance provider upon arrival and upgrade otherwise you will have to pay more than $18,000 out of pocket for giving birth in Australia on OSHC without waiting period of at least 12months. Another thing is that your medical (xray) will shows that you are pregnant, so the best thing is just to declare that your are pregnant. 4everEdward:All visa applications are online, Apply for Subclass 820 (Temporary spouse/de-facto Visa) then after two years you can apply for Subclass 801 (Permanent partner visa). |

Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by mekmolly: 12:16pm On Jan 18, 2023 |
I believe it’s not gonna be an issue. First, you can update the details on your immiaccount, attach a letter to explain the concept of your situation and go ahead to do you biometrics and medicals. All is gonna be well. Also let them know when you are about doing medicals and biometrics at the point of cross checking of detail and informations val56: 1 Like |
