I have being paying PAYE taxes since i was 18 years old working, taxes are paid arcoding to how much one earns there are no fixed rates. So a keke driver falls sick for a month and didn't work therefore didn't earn a dime, Soludo and his thugs would still go and harrass the keke driver for a FIXED one month taxes he didn't earn any dime? If I tell you that NNPC have not remitted a dime to Federal Coffers from oil revenue since February last year you won't believe and this is affecting states because FG is remitting nothing to states.
As it stands, the survival of state governments depends on IGR and one of the effective ways of boosting IGR is collection of taxes which is the same way it's done in Europe and America.
Where the problem lies is if State Governments are not using the people's taxes to develop the state, then the people have the right to revolt against Government.
