Obi wins and you hand over your babe and your teams league position to me

Choose between Obi winning and Arsenal winning the league
Correlation is not causation

Nor be you talk am?

So you are busy campaigning for Tinubu but does not want to live in a Tinubu Nigeria, but I am campaigning for Obi and is willing to live in an Obi Nigeria.

That tells the difference between my reasoning and yours, and my intentions and yours.

I lived in Tinubus Lagos and I saw the improvements in the state from 1999 to 2007, where he set the state on a path of continued greatness that we are still witnessing now

That is my intention

We never even vote, them don dey complain about rigging.

In 2015, Jonathan (PDP incubency) lost, and didn't rig it.

In 2019, APC was incubency in Oyo state, PDP won free and fair, nobody complained rigging.

Last year, PDP beat APC (Oyetola) in Osun state, no rigging.

Last Year, a defected Governor (Obaseki) won his election in EDO, after he left the rulling party for PDP. No one complained of rigging.

APGA won in Anambra. No rigging was recorded.

But we have not cast the first ballot in this coming election, we are already thinking about rigging.

If we want to check any historical facts, the election during this APC Presidency has been fairer than PDP days. (Obasanjo wey remove Ladoja with thugs and used Adedibu to do his dirty work.)

BTW, Obi's influencers have said they will provide drones for every ward, so as to eliminate rigging. Please let them do.

We don't want to hear any stupid complain, if they beat your candidate, let him/her enter his/her room. No stress anybody.

With the BVAS, I don't think rigging will be easy. The only area I am looking concerned is vote buying. Even that is being taken care of by Buhari and CBN. They know Tinubu can do the undo. Jagaban can bribe Nigeria is that's what it takes for 'emi lokan'

I said these 5 months ago and it still rings true!
Beware of narrative spinners. Never fall victim to them. Don't let yourself be gaslighted.

donjazet:

Spin doctors! You guys really need to learn that word! Spin doctors!!
People who are masters and experts at spinning narratives. People who would repeat a lie numerously till it begins to appear like a fact.

Example is this.
Fact: Tinubu is SICK and OLD to lead a country of 200 million people. Especially one that has had 2 old presidents. One that died in office and put the country in crises and the other that used half of his term for medical tourism.
More importantly, we need an energetic president that will be up and doing at all times and alert to the many complex situations of governance. One needs unperturbed agility to be an effective leader.

SPIN DOCTORS: we don't need a president that gyms. A president is not going there for wrestling contest. Strength and agility doesn't matter at all. SPIN DOCTORS!

Fact number 2: Why will a presidential candidate who wants to govern over 200 million people never come out and inform the government of his plans? Why will he NEVER speak to the public? How does this frontrunner successfully evade media scrutiny unlike the emerging frontrunner? How can we scrutinize and access his talking points if he doesn't ever talk to us, the masses?

SPIN DOCTORS: We don't need a talking person , what we need is an action person. People who usually talk don't do. "Just trust him".
SPIN DOCTORS!!! SPIN DOCTORS!!!
They've misled us for soo long. Don't fall for them again.

The simple summary is that

Regarding economy OBJ did way better than Buhari as Buhairi didn't have a clue of how to manage economy nor how to get the people that do

while Buhari did better when it comes to politics. People have more faith that their votes would be counted unlike the days of OBJ

You don't have opposition being gunned down, even opposition candidates are going to thank Buhari for being fair. Less Adedibu, Andy Uba, Alams, Dariye Bola-Ige Funsho Williams, Harry Marshalls, Dikibo etc

Nigeria is a lost cause. I really hope a lot of you can be realistic.

You've always been a pessimist but we've always been proving you wrong.
This mindset is an absolutely toxic one because I don't know what can be made of this mindset.
Is it that you want people to lose hope or what? To resign themselves to faith or what? I'm actually curious about this.

Meanwhile this was you at the onset of the Obi campaign, when we went for a rally even before he defected.

izzou:

I said it before that there is no third force in this country

The likes of Obi would go and sleep after elections. They wouldn't strategize for the next. No structures. No alliances. Nothing. Then four years later, he resurrects and thinks he'll win because sane people are on Twitter

Politics is a game of numbers....Numbers.

You need to have the larger number to win. That's the aim. Not education, intelligence, and all that.

Someone has not won ticket, and they are organising 1 million march for him. The 1 million people are useless in party primaries.

I like the guy, but he doesn't seem like he's serious politically

I've said it before that if Obi wins, he will soon wish he hadn't.

Too many Nigerians are betting on one man turning around 109 years of structural problems in a desperate throw of the dice.

There is no chance that any president can live up to the expectations that Obidients are piling on this man.

He will never be able to get any plaudits when he does anythng good, because it is expected. But woe betide the saviour of Nigerian politics if he ever does anything unpopular.

It is better to be underrated than overrated, better to underpromise and overdeliver, than overpromise and flop. Say you want about the current political establishment, but the public expectation of these guys is so low that any good thing they do will actually be considered a bonus

You say "we cannot blame a thief for trying to steal", in this case you mean
PDAPC but what you're leaving out is that people are actually hailing those theives and supporting those thieves which in this case calls for the absolute condemnation of the Thieves and their actions.

We have to constantly shame the Thieves for trying to steal. Telling people to accept that reality that thieves will always be thieves is not a good message. We should always emphasize that stealing is wrong, in this case, vote buying by politicians..

Most of Obi supporters are not looking to him for performance nor believe he can perform. Most of them saw his regime in Anambra and saw nothing to write home about. Some even placed heavy curses on him and wished him bodily harm

So for them its not about how he performs or not, Its just our man who represents my interest must be there which is how politics is played.

An overwhelming majority of those supporting every candidate have never heard of their manifesto nor plans yet will vote them and demonize the opponent

If Tinubu says I will remove subsidy the same people will say "what a wicked man", If Obi says the same I will remove subsidy the same people will say "what a genius"

We have seen Its my turn being cast in positive and negative light depending on the speaker

Earlier today we saw someone castigating One team for sharing bread and when his fave was shown to be sharing bread what did he do? He surely didn't condemn and drop his support for Obi nor tag it a shame like he did when it was Tinubu

This is not limited to Obi and its the reason many people vote a candidate all over the world. Biden can be shitting on himself and muttering whatever yet his fans and CNN will always defend him just like Trump can do anything even tank the economy badly and he would still win

I saw analysts on CNN last week twisting and turning on how to defend Biden having classified documents in his garage, Few months ago the same analysts were talking about Treason, and espionage when Trump did exactly the same thing

Politics - It is what it is

I really want to but someone here said something last time which truly made a lot of sense.

So I have one question,

INEC's official figures for last election was 26 million plus, do you think that those numbers are accurate?
Do you think that that election was absolutely free and fair and there weren't any number manipulations?

Question 2. Hope uzodimna is the governor of imo state today, do you believe that APC won the imo state election? Do you believe that more people voted for APC than they did for PDP in the last election in imo state?

So if by precedence the masses do indeed vote for Obi overwhelmingly but figures are manipulated nko? Because i have absolutely no doubt that Obi will get win more votes than Tinubu, the question is what happens when the people's mandate is denied and figures are manipulated?

Excuse upon excuse.

@ the bolded, do well by coming to the reality. You can do well by using Bayelsa case too, You won't die.

Well, let me help you a little. How do you figure out that people's mandate are denied or tamper with? How? I thought you said this election is going to be different? Are you conceding defeat before the election?
Are you saying the BVAS is not a game changer anymore? Are you saying electorates are not awaken again? Are you saying the numerous polls are not genuine?

Is either you accept this bet or crawl back to the hole you came from and stop littering here with your hogwash!

Education and sensitization bro..
If you make those people realise the weight of their votes and the implications of selling it for a day's meal, their humanity will shine through.

Only a pessimistic person will think that poor people cannot make any sort of informed decisions. At the end of the day, if the vast majority of people realise that it is an absolutely terrible decision to sell your vote for a day's meal. It becomes inconsequential and the practice stops. That's what makes me an idealist and you a pessimist.
