50 cent plate of meal, less than $1 with egg

Things are very cheap in Nigeria we just don't know it

All what a Bsc holder spends to get a quality degree is less than #1,000,000 in a good Public University and he would take that same degree to UK and get a Job beating UK's over #20,000,000 degree

Ghanians and UK buy petrol at 1000, to 1800 per litters, Nigerians buy it less than 300

.
you are wrong comparing UK economy to Nigeria, we aren't have the same quality of life. if our exchange rate is good, fuel will be cheaper without subsidy.

don't come and drop agbado-economics here abeg.
if you know what quality education is you no go talk

let's vote Peter Obi for president.

Why are you calculating costs of things in Nigeria based on dollar, is it dollars that we spend here? When people are paid minimum wage of N30k in Nigeria, is it called $30kUSD? Even a lot of people earn less than N15k in a month.

For you to know the actual costs of things in various countries around the world, you need to factor in the average or minimum earnings of people in those countries compared to what they pay to buy things in those countries.

Using the above example, if someone who earns N30k in a month is spending N300 of it to buy a plate of rice like that that is devoid of any quality of good meal (there is no even meat), then you will understand what costs of things really are in Nigeria. And more importantly, the quality of that plate of rice is far below what an average American or UK citizen eats per meal.

I witnessed a Nigeria where this food won't cost more than N5. Inflation has finished the naira.
We were buying a bag of rice between 1997 and 1999 @350 Naira.

Ineptic way of of reasoning.

Have you checked cost of living in diaspora?

From my experience, food is the cheapest thing you can buy in the world while in Nigeria, is the most expensive thing you can buy.

Tell me when a Nigerian became an American or Ghanaian that you are comparing with, if our leaders stabilize our economy and naira value appreciates is it a crime? In the first place is $1 suppose to be above #400 at the official rate? This your mindset of conversion mentality is part of the reason Nigeria is not working. What is the minimum wage in America or UK that you are using as yardstick?

When you are single, you pay less for accommodation n you have flexibility in your activities ( no child care).
