Gov Soludo Approves Weekly Collection of Taxes By Commercial Transport Operators, Graciously Suspends Payment of Tolls By Heavy Duty Operators.

Anambra State Government has graciously approved weekly payment taxes and levies by commercial tricycle, popularly known as 'keke' and shuttle bus operators. The cheering news was broken to the public during his usual interaction with commercial transport operators held at Professor Dora Akunyili Women's Development Centre, Awka; on 18th January 2023.

Tricycle operators, who originally pay 15,000 will today henceforth pay 10,000 which, when mathematically split into four (4) gives 2,500 per week. Similarly, taxi operators will now pay 12,000 naira instead of 17,500; which amounts to 3,000 naira on a weekly basis and the same amount as the shuttle bus operators. Mini truck operators and motorcycle operators are to pay 3,750 and 4,000 respectively.

The Governor's magnanimity was also extended to the suspension of the payment of tolls, taxes and levies by heavy duty vehicles operators across the state. He explained that his primary objective of the suspension of the aforementioned payments is to ensure there's no double taxation and also to eradicate the inhuman activities of touts on the road.

The Governor further reiterated his administration is meticulously determined to have a progressive system of taxation effortlessly affordable by the people, and in line with the APGA ideals. Governor Soludo also reminded Anambrarians of the need to join hands with his government to ensure a prosperous, secure, clean and more habitable state.

The event was attended by government officials and security agencies: Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Uche Okafor, Secretary to the Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Ernest Ezeajughi, the Hon. Commissioner for Transport, Barr Pat Igwebuike, his Information counterpart, Paul Nwosu, Special Adviser on Security, AVM Ben Chiobi.

The representatives of the transport operators thanked the governor very immensely for his magnanimity and also pledged their unalloyed support to his administration.

That's a good one but people should learn how to pay tax and not to see it as a Punishment to starve them. How can a sane society develop without Tax and revenue...

Soludo should not try and release NMK or else.....

The bolded is one of the most important projects Onitsha citizens are anticipating but help is far since Obiano from Aguleri won't even repair the road as the section close to Nkwelle bridge has collapsed. Even Ikepazu they called the worst governor constructed a dual carriageway from Aba to not only to Obingwa(which is his LG) but to his house at Umuobiakwa. Past Anambra governors aside from Ngige no dey construct road wey dey give me joy and the kind of attention wey all of them dey give federal highway while ignoring roads that interconnect our three main cities is annoying lipsrsealed

Instead of soludo to face and give Anambra state good governance. Soludo is rather doing Political witch-hunting.

The energy he use to attack Peter obi , labour party and Victor umeh. If he has put in security. Anambra will be secured.

Just few days ago the house of Ugochinyere in Owerri was burnt down by ipob terrorists. Yesterday the house a top government officials were burnt down by ipob terrorists in Owerri. Owerri which is a glorified village is not safe. The whole of imo state is not safe, that's why millions of imo indigenes are living in Anambra. Uzodinma has failed and has politicised everything even the security of the state. Cultists, kidnappers, armed robbers, ipob terrorists, agberos, prostitutes, etc are ravaging Owerri and imo state at large while Uzodinma who has been living in Abuja for the past two years is helpless. Federal government should declare a state of emergency in imo state

Owerri is a cursed glorified village that's ravaged by cultists, kidnappers, agberos, prostitutes, armed robbers, ipob terrorists, etc.

Every family in Owerri breeds terrorists, kidnappers, cultists, prostitutes, etc. Imo is a failed state. Even Uzodinma has ran away from Owerri and has been living in Abuja for the past two years.

Millions of imo indigenes are living in Anambra because imo state is very unsafe.

All the insecurity in igboland are caused by imo youths who are mostly jobless and frustrated. Governors of imo state since 1999 failed to develop the state and that's why today imo state is worse than sambisa forest. Imo state is cursed

Awka has had a cultism problem for long.

But with the IPOB and ESN terrorism now, guns are quite easy to obtain and our youths have gotten dumber by the day.

Enlightened people and people with the means are relocating from the south east everyday. We are now left with dregs of society. That has worsened the cultism issue of Awka.

My own is why has Soludo not issued a statement since the unfortunate issue of the rape and robbery of university students in his state.
He is rather attacking Peter Obi. What a fool!

The issue in Awka, especially Iffite is getting out of hand and if nothing is done early on, Awka might turn into the cultism headquarters of Nigeria.
