I don't think this thread is the right place for the information you need.

However I think you first need to register with the office of the NSA.

WE HAVE OPERATIONALIZED USAGE OF MODERN PLATFORMS IN BATTLEFIELD - CAS

The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Oladayo Amao, on Friday 20 January 2023 said the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has operationalized the usage of all its new and modern platforms towards tackling terrorism and insurgency in the country. The CAS who was speaking during an operational visit to the Nigerian Air Force Institute of Safety and 209 Quick Response Group, Ipetu-Ijesa, Osun State, stated that the NAF in recent time, has effectively operationalized the usage of new and modern platform in the battlefield.

According to him, these new and modern air assets are instrumental in the feats being recorded against terrorists and insurgents. Air Marshal Amao, attributed the successes recorded by the NAF in the theatres of operation to the newly acquired JF-17 Thunder aircraft, A-29 Super Tucano aircraft and the Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicles. He maintained that the Nigerian military is winning the war against terrorism in the country, with the aid of these modem platforms.

He emphasized that more still need to be done to completely decimate and flush out the remnants of terrorists still preying on soft targets. He however warned that being complacent at this point would be harmful to ongoing operations and called for more focus, vigilance and caution. The CAS revealed that the NAF is expecting the delivery of additional new platforms which the President has approved for the Service.

The air assets, according to him, include: 2 Beechcraft King Air 360, 4 Diamond DA-62 surveillance aircraft, 3 Wing Loong II UCAVs and 6 T-129 ATAK helicopters. He further disclosed that there are ongoing acquisitions of 12 Agusta 109 Trekker multi-role helicopters and 24 M-346 attack aircraft. He added that some of these additional platforms are expected to be delivered to the NAF before the end of first quarter 2023. This, he said would further boost NAF's air power employment and projection capabilities as well as air combat training.

Commenting on the upcoming general elections, the CAS urged NAF personnel to remain apolitical but only exercise their legal franchise which is the constitutional right to vote for any candidate of their choice. "we must continue to maintain our integrity and neutrality as a Service," the CAS
stressed.

He further urged NAF personnel to remember that as custodians of Nigeria's constitution, they must ensure that public perception of the NAF and the Armed Forces of Nigeria remains positive and unblemished.

The CAS was accompanied by the Air Officers Commanding Special Operations Command, Air Training Command, some Branch Chiefs and Directors from Headquarters NAF.

You are please requested to use your medium in disseminating this information to the general public. Thank you for your support and cooperation.

KDF military police Corps are mandated to police the KDF . Apparently Simple things such as not having a nametag on your uniform will make you get punished. Regular soldiers dread crossing paths with them while on the wrong.

You just had to say it out loud grin grin

That's my concern, I just hope that's not the case though. Information on the AH-1Z has gone pretty cold.

The number of T-129 and M-346FA have remained consistent.

Nice procurement but can't we go for covert ship/fast attack ships or better still frigates ?

Exactly, if the Nigerian Navy can lease the two Chinese Type 54 frigates from PLA Navy. Arm the P-18N corvettes with anti-ship missiles and anti-submarine rocket launchers and the Dearsan OPV 76 with anti-submarine rocket launchers, then the entire EEZ is covered from any form of threat.

But for budgetary constraints, this could have been a better procurement for the S.A Navy rather than the sea-axe hull MMIPVs or the Damen 1800 OPV, what do you guys think.

While I see the benefits of additional OPVs, our Navy seems to be too fixated on this sort of maritime security capabilities.

I find this disturbing as we are making the same mistakes we made during the initial years of insurgency.

We should expand to other areas, we cannot be buying hundreds of patrol vessels each year.

I was hoping that we would be looking at Frigates & Coverttes in the coming years, not additional OPVs after we secured the Dearsan contract.

Someone need to start asking these questions publicly and demand answers on what military planners are thinking. Methinks the oil theft is still an existential crisis for the purse of the nation and the hierarchy of command is simply responding to task however I agree we might just be making the same mistakes of the past not preparing for the worst eventualities. A compliment of sea going missile ships, A Frigate & submarines for strategic deterrence in the Gulf of Guinea is long over due. The electorate and the informed should escalate the need to those currently running for president of Nigeria.

I don't think we need an Attack Submarine to be honest. However the Nigerian Navy should invest in Frigates and Corvettes as this is a capability that we have completely lost over the years.

There's been significant investment in our maritime security capabilities which is to be expected, but I think we should strike a balance between that and proper strike capabilities.

Everywhere you look in Nigeria, there's an OPV sailing. This is not the right approach for the long haul.

I also fear that governments after this might not have the political will to make the necessary investments required to take the Nigerian army to the next level.

Late President Yar'adua and former President Jonathan were abysmal looking back at the procurements they made.

Former President OBJ was really no better.
