To the foolish e-jihadists here and their Christian counterparts, including Donjazet2 who also denigrates the African cultures as barbaric while promoting the colonial masters' cultures: #Copied from Facebook I've been watching Bollywood movies since I was a toddler and I've never seen any scene where a western or Indain preacher that adopted the religion of the west walks into a village, goes to a Hindu temple, confronts the Hindu priests, battles the Hindu gods, wins, burns down the temple and converts the entire village to Christianity. I've been watching Chinese movies too since like forever and I've never witnessed a scene like that in any of their movies. Instead their religions and cultures are vigorously promoted in their movies. But 80% of our Nollywood movies with plots set during the colonial era and even modern times have scripts like this; scenes of African gods being defeated by the white man's god. Does it mean that the white man's god is powerless against Lord Shiva, Brahma, Lord Krishna, Buddha, and all the Asian gods? Is it only when matched against the black man's gods that the white man's god is on top form? Let me tell you something: Religion is nothing but a war of cultural identity and superiority. And Africa lost the war totally. The Indians and the Chinese held their gates. They rejected every aspect of colonialism that sought to tarnish and belittle their cultural heritage. That's why they stand proud today. Very proud and confident. That's why you'll never find such scenes in their movies. Instead they are always promoting their culture and gaining converts from the west in the process. Many whites go on religious pilgrimage to India and other Asian nations, but little or none comes to Africa. That's why you and I will never see anything wrong with a samurai, ninjas, kong fu, tai chi, yoga and all the things we see in movies from the lands of the rising sun. Heck, Most of us wanted to be ninjas after watching Five Elements of Ninja and American Ninja, as kids. The fact that ninjas are historically soulless blood thirsty assassins used by Japanese emperors to inflict fear and death on rebellious provinces didn't even matter. We all loved them regardless. But the very sight of a dibia in a Nollywood movie would send negative signals to our brains. Why do we always portray our cultural heritage in a negative light? Yes, they were crude and barbaric; evil even. But which ancient culture wasn't? Even the bible and Quran cultures you hold so dearly are no exceptions. It's funny how a lot of Africans still believe the white man gave them Christianity to save their souls and bring them salvation. I laugh in 400 years of black slavery and subjugation. Given how the white man treated our ancestors, like animals, how on earth are you people able to convince yourselves that they gave a Bleep about the black man's soul. We were animals without souls to them! Don't you see that you're still slaves? It's 2017, the white mans world is working on innovative ideas. But Nigerian Facebook is lit with arguments of church tithes and offering or how to speak in tongues. Is this how we're going to be great? I've said this before and I'll say it again. "Slavery never left Africa. They just removed the chains from our bodies and bound our minds with them". #Unanimous 3 Likes 1 Share |

Before the whites and Arabs invaded Africa, our forefathers had their own God concept in various cultures and traditions. But today, most Africans being foolish and mentally weak embraced the God concept of their slave masters and colonial masters (the whites and Arabs) and demonize the indigenous belief systems. Most people here would spend their whole life being slaves and believing a lie. Better to adopt the African traditional beliefs instead of being slaves to the whites and Arabs by adopting their own traditional beliefs thereby promoting the foreign nations that don't give a damn about you. But the wisest thing is to become enlightened as an agnostic, atheist, or humanist who sees religion for what it really is: a tool of mind control for owning slaves. |

An educating thread: https://www.nairaland.com/7530509/how-african-christian-parents-teach Those obsessed with Otem can start their attack again. Show the African in you by behaving foolishly. Only the most stupid Africans attack people like Otem that should be celebrated by any Africans with a working brain. They're so religious and holy yet so corrupt. Yesterday, as I was doing some activities outside the house, I thought: "You can't leave your phone on the stool outside where there are religious people around and meet it where you left it." Nigeria is a classic proof of the uselessness of religion for humanity. Practicing a religion doesn't make one a better human but a slave. |

Theflint1: My guy was invited to bid for a contract with a disco in the east. He bid 25m. Next thing the procurement guys came to him and said bid 70m and we give it to you. He has experienced this kind of thing repeatedly. So he told them, you award the project to yourself then subcontract to us at the 25m. This is one of the discos that is always declaring loss and is unviable. As i said before, it is ultimately Nigerians who will kill Nigeria because of their kill the goose that lays the golden eggs greed. Though I will also say this is probably inspired by the actions of company leadership. My old company changed hands. The ogas at the top were corrupt, but they package am small. The new oga at the top called the new procurement manager. I want a generator for my house. The new manager, a person with over 10 years in the system is completely dumbfounded. He has never faced this kind of naked avarice. And he knows his new position is on the line. I know this guy as a relatively honest guy. What do you think will happen going forward? The useless oga at the top is introducing and normalising a culture of naked stealing. Because obviously if oga is doing it (petty theft from his company) everyone else will start doing it 3 Likes 1 Share |

Theflint1: When Ambode got into office in 2015 and the LASG audited government spendings. It was found Fashola budgeted #78 million for a personal website of his. It was suppose to be a digital archive but it was nothing more than an "About me" website with < 10 pages. Even at the going rate then and the content on it, there's no way that website was worth #3 million (including hosting). And it wasn't managed as the content was outdated There's no way the guy or agency which was subcontracted to build it got #2.5 million for it then. It was a regular template website with less than 9 pages. I bet if one looks into the LASG website or RVSG website budget annually, it'd run into hundreds of millions of naira put together. There's no way the subcontractor got #5 million for building each. Or up to #3 million to maintain it annually. Even the RVSG government website's SEO was hacked in October which I alerted the authorities to and nothing was done about it because no maintenance. I'm sure more millions have been budgeted for it this year too. Serious corruption going on. 6 Likes |

izzou: I'm really trying to understand this whole Simon Ekpa matter. I've never really been interested in the guy and his utterances up till now. I did a little google search on him now and all I can see is the Federal government not really interested in putting the guy on leash. I mean this guy's face is everywhere online, He has a YouTube channel where he spreads his hate, He has social Media Accounts traced to him, I even saw it mentioned somewhere that he represented Naija back then in COJA. This guy has so many loose strings that can be pulled if our secret police/law enforcement agents want to really get him. The way FBI made extradition request for Abba is the same thing Malami and his guys should be doing to have Finland hand him over. There's just something not right with the way the guy has been allowed to infect so many people with his lunacy thus far. 3 Likes |

nihilistjnr: So many people on Nairaland FP and even this thread have argued with what the woman said. They kept on saying he's not contesting in WWE wrestling neither does he aspire to be the next Muhammed Alli. They keep saying his physical appearance doesn't really matter(As if we are only talking about his physical weakness alone and not his Mental state as well). |
