Hi NL,

It’s PPR…

I am writing this to contribute my bit because I actually got some knowledge from this trend.

I received my PPR on the last week after months of waiting. Below are my timeline and some details:

I submitted my application on the 10th September 2022 and did my biometrics on the 14th of September 2022.

I did upfront medicals and it was updated 19th of October after sending webforms to Nairobi.

After that the wait started.

When my application was exactly 12weeks old I started sending countless webforms to Nairobi and IRCC canada but no positive response was received.

I had to request GCMS notes on 16th November 2022 but still haven’t received it.

I later used a friend to contact an MP who then contacted IRCC on my behalf and they got back saying that my eligibility had started and that every other things is in order. Advising me to wait for them to update me.

I noticed that the day my eligibility started was the day the MP got back to my friend with the update.

2 weeks after my eligibility started I received my PPR.

My program is 8months and it is a Post Graduate Certificate program.

In other to contribute back to NL, I am willing to assist anyone with their admissions and questions if need be.

PS: I did my application myself and backed it with prayers and follows up

Which school?

Please friends. Is it okay to use fund set aside in a corporate account as family proof of fund. This fund has been set aside since July last year in USD. Also is there any need for notarizing or the company writing a letter about the fund.

If your school require part payment of tuition that should be your first action. Intact even if they don’t require just pay part of it. It is very important.
After that you can go for an upfront medical and do a police clearance. Also prepare your POF and start writing your SOP to reflect your goals, why you are going to study that particular course, why the school, why canada, your educational background, professional background, sources of funds (please provide proof for all these).

For anyone who would be unavailable to do physical pick up at vfs Abuja/Lagos after passport submission, UPS still offers 2-way courier because vfs partners with them. Better to avoid the long delay currently being experienced by those waiting for vfs to courier their passport back to them.

Hi guys, I submitted my application on the 8th of December, biometric was uploaded on the 20th of December but nothing has changed on my dashboard since then. Please, do I need to message via web form or just wait?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by joefit4gur(m): 7:18pm On Jan 23, 2023
Wait until 9weeks have elapsed (10th February). You may do an upfront medical test, if you have not done any.

Off course you still have time. The processing time now I think is 9weeks. It’s totally ok to pay from the USA. Using credit is the fastest method for tuition payment.
