Good morning everyone. A friend of mine just started this project on a slopy land. The back of the building has a foundation of 6 coaches
Double walls were used in all the sections at the back before it was filled with laterite( this cant be seen in pictures). DPC of 6 inches was also done.
Is this foundation solid enough? The land is not water logged and he’s planning to build a bungalow.

Seems your friend didn't bother to excavate for the foundation because the 6th course is clearly visible.

He did a strip foundation and that requires him to have 3-4 courses below ground level.

Please advise him, the best action he can take next is to embark on sand filling around the sloppy terrain to a reasonable height before the rain starts.

Also to allow the foundation backfill compact naturally before taking up the super structure.

Well he said I should not worry about materials or anything since it's a contract work, his job is to deliver the soakaway and I will pay for piping (I know I will pay for piping cos that's the work of a plumber) and also for chambers (this, I want to be sure that it's should come with the soakaway)... I am currently not around to supervise the work)...

The truth of the matter is that, if u have paid him in full before this discussion, forget about it. But if u have not paid, then there lots of assistance u can get on this thread. If u have not paid him fully or the work is about to commence, pls tell him to send u a quote listing all the materials to be used nd indicate his own workmanship in the quotation. Also tell the house the kind of vehicle u intend packing on the sock away. He should also indicate the dimensions of the sock away.
The chamber should be free of cost because the contractor is still going to use ur materials for the chamber

While my own kobokobo toilet then was only 300k to set it up. ( everything inclusive)

Like u said, u want to cut cost. Use 6 inches then use pillars

like I sad, use 9 inches blocks for surrounding walls and 6 inches blocks for dividing walls

It’s only one bore hole that supplied the 5 tanks.

They told me Royal is better than Time.

First time I bought Time.

Second time around I got Royal.

Here's what I noticed.

Time is slightly larger than Royal.

In both cases I got 60 x 60.

Some of them don't want to start small

My mechanic complained of this exact problem too. They will rather ride okada which gives the delusion of self employment and instant earnings rather than go through the tedious process of working under someone and learning
