Well done for not giving up. Kudos!!! Congrats to your sister

Hi all,
Just wanted to give an update on this in case anyone finds themselves in this situation in the future.

My sister just received her BRP letter today to say her application has been successfully!

Here are the things I did below:
* Applied for IELTS which she was unable to write due to not having her passport
* Naric was not an option as she doesn’t have a degree
* The embassy gave us 10 working days to respond and they wrote in CAPS they they weren’t going to give an extension

However, I did some research and found LanguageCert! I called them and they confirmed she can take the test with her national ID

So, I booked the next available date however, I was quickly faced with the issue of the 10 working days deadline given by the embassy so I emailed them a compelling letter attaching all the evidence of the IELTS she was unable to write, and the LanguageCert confirmation. I got no response from them whatsoever but they must have taken that into consideration as her application was approved.

Good luck everyone - just waiting for her kids email to come through now

congratulations to her. My question is which level of exam did you register her for? I am seeing A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2 level on their website.

Just curious to know

It depends on your school. Transcript and English Proficiency Letter are the only items that could cause delay.

Those should be ready in 3-4 days.

And you’ll fast track your application for ECCTIS, 24-48 hours.

Thank you!
She did the B1 - the one with ESOL SELT at the end
She found the exam better than IELTS and got 50/50 for speaking. She said it was more relaxed and the people are more friendly.

If u can go through the stress no wahala... but
Adopting, changing their names, and getting new documents is a lot of hurdle and money..

But note that new birth certificates from NPC somtimes raise a redflag from UKVI....which may ripple back to their old ceetifocate...

If it were me oooo....i no go adopt person pickin oooooo....especially if the nigga is not dead...

I would let her get concent letter from their father to travel with the three kids and legal sole custody document......their old birth certificates can fly without issues together with an NPC issued copied

If u wanna marry her before travelling thats fine...if not, no biggie....Which ever way u wanna role...just be ready to provide proof that ur marriage is not arranged for the travel and u have been together for 2 years or more prior to the marriage....sometimes they ask...sometimes they dont
The father is nowhere to be found for over 7yrs now.so what do you suggest please?

Check if the country you're applying from is listed here, then you need it. If not, you don't need it.

I know you may not say it but there’s a scent of “arranged marriage” in this narrative. Let’s look at the facts.
1. Does she have sole custody of the kids legally? I understand that her spouse has been away for 7 years but has she secured the legal (not implied o) rights to their “sole custody”
2. If Yes is the answer to above question, then she is fine to include them and her new husband as her dependants. If the answer is No, then she’ll need the consent of their father before she can apply for their visas or travel with them.
3. You can go ahead with the marriage and seek to adopt the kids but I don’t know if that erases the moral and legal authority of their biological father; I doubt. His consent would still be required. Other gurus can fault me if I was speculative…
4. Do the kids have NIN already? I’m sure they already have birth certificates currently, why try to issue another one for them?
This was why I said there’s a fragnance of “arranged marriage” in all of this.
In summary, I think the mother should seek legal advice on how to obtain sole custody for her children since the father is non-existent at best…

That’ll lead you to other decisions and milestones. Good luck

Thanks for your good response sir and I appreciate.Firstly,The age of the kids are 14,12 and 8.Secondly,if she succeed in getting full custody of the kids, which I believe she can get because she is the one taking care of the kids and paying their bills,if she get the custody is there any need for their surname to be change to mine her new husband before applying for visa? Or should it remain like that? Again, will Uk embassy mind if their surname is different from surname of their mother's new husband?. I am genuinely in love with my fiance and want to settle with her.pls advise me the best thing to do,base on what I explained above. Thanks

What about the relatives if the Father? Are they incommunicado as well?

Adoption is the easiest way to have the kids with you but father's consent is very germane.

Let the relatives inform the father of the development, I believe he will come out when h hears his kids are about to move abroad.

The person should just try and do ECCTIS (24 or 28 hours Fast Track).

The probability of getting UKVI IELTS Certificate within that 10 days period is rare.
Thanks. We have option to cancel the application and reapply later. We ll only forfeit the visa fee and priority money.

Has your total stay in Turkey more than 1 year (12 months)? If YES, then you need it along with Nigeria PCC

Dont put the cart before the horse..... its visa before enrolling them in school....them no go land first??.... u can research schools, send them emails to the admin, and get response about possibility of accepting your kids and possible documents u will need....

But first things first......secure visa...and becos they are all minor....they will get visa if the proof u present is air tight.....

No! Don’t cancel!

There are options around this - LanguageCert! Please see my post from earlier tonight - my sister had the same issue and we found a way around it. She got her visa email today
