NERC also has a very good pay package. Just as most industry regulators do. It's another great place to nurture your career.
PS: it's spelt remuner......not renumer. Lol. Same way a PhD holder or even a Director in Ministry of Agric will be asking if the BSc entry level salary in NPA is for PhD holders. Do you realise that our friend who just got NPA will be earning higher than a Senior Lecturer (with years of postdoctoral experience) and will be at par with many Professors using the current CONUASS structure (I don't know what their pay will now look like following the proposed increase by FG this year but it won't surpass 40% increment at most).
As it stands today, opportunities and remuneration in the public service is not uniform and will never be as long as some agencies are outperforming others in terms of revenue generation and core mandates. Just like someone posited earlier, "shoe get size"........even okrika get grade.

An SSCE holder in EFCC earns better than a PhD holder in NTA., etc.
In 2018, when I had the opportunity to see what a Deputy Director in then DPR (now NUPRC/NMDPRA) was earning as annual upfront alone (salary excluded), it was over 100m. If you get employed in some organisations, you are an instant millionaire whether you like it or not, and if you get in some, walahi, your struggle has just begun because na loan you go take dey augment your salary (ask 50% of core civil servants).

FIRS generated 6.4 trillion naira in 2021 but almost doubled that in 2022 with 10.1 trillion generated as revenue. Do you think Federal government will oppose an increased pay package for them if they proposed?
