larride: Nnpc is the sole importer of pms in this country. If you are bringing in pms by yourself without a contract with nnpc , at current dollar rates it will be in the same range as cost of diesel and atk. I also know for a fact that nnpc in conjunction with dss is literally arresting attendants for selling fuel in jerrycans. They are enforcing sales at 169 last I checked and even pushing for lower pump tolerance within their direct networks For the life of me I cannot make sense of what is going on. As an impure tribalized batist though I will say the abokis have thoroughly fked everything up with greed and incompetence. An old friend into fuel haulage said that it all comes down to systemic diversion of product outside Nigeria. Outside Nigeria petrol is sold at international market rates. So if you divert trucks outside Nigeria you make big money. Diversion is an industry term. Say your station in lagos has ordered and paid for a truck. You pay 4m. Truck leaves depot and instead of going to your station, it is taken maybe up north. The station operator gets a call. We have diverted your truck. Take 6m which is the market value of the fuel plus your own cut on top. The truck is then moved up north or wherever where the product is sold at a much higher rate. Everyone in the transaction makes money, while the queues grow longer as the available fuel cannot meet demand. As for the n280 ex depot, that one I really do not get. Unless like in the case of dollars and central bank, nnpc is running a parallel pms market |

obainojazz: That's what I've been telling people. CBN has instructed banks not to evacuate old notes to them from 31st of January. To be on the safe side, everyone should go and deposit their old notes. |

See boys dey fear to call out buhari so them nor go eat their own vomit by admitting that; 1) the man has been poor in handling the employees in his government 2) that he (buhari) has issues with Tinubu. So instead of blaming buhari for this, they would rather save face by maintaining that the same excuse that he is not aware or he just let's people do things they want coz baba nor send. But the same people have admitted in the past that Buhari knows what he is doing and he will only move heaven and earth when the thing is in his favour. Make una nor dey hide 🤭 Like Roland17 said, the presidency has spent time trying to convince people they have no issues with Tinubu and yet the actions have been way louder than the words. It's so bad that apc guys were celebrating the few times buhari joined the campaign and yet baba still dey show sef e body nor dey inside (bauchi campaign 👀). There is fire on the mountain 🤣🤣 7 Likes |

Itsrm: If u’ve survived buying fuel for over 300 and there’s no chaos , I can assure u there’s no chaos coming with this naira design. All u are seeing now is APC people concerned it’s after effects will affect their principal. U see fuel queue for close to 3 months , no protest , no OCCUPY ANYTHING …..You think the government will give a 4ck to few petty traders having cash that is no legal tender anymore ? It’s like u don’t know this APC government . 7 Likes 1 Share |

Avoid the middle lane at Agboju if you are going to Mile 2 A truck carrying floor tiles just fell. I think the driver is dead (A lifeless body is on the floor) No road. Go back and join the trailers you thought you avoided 3 Likes |

Ibime: I am not sure how bad that would be. In lagos anyway. The only people I pay in cash right now are okada riders. I have a lady I buy fruit from and na transfer. I have seen people use transfer to buy suya from abokis. There is an aboki along the street I pay the same way. The tanker that brings my water - I pay them like that also. So I don't think that is really an issue. |

GloriousGbola: People are seriously adjusting The lady hawking Moimoi told us she won't collect old notes from Saturday. She said she would give us her Opay account number on Monday. I don't know about other states, but the awareness in Lagos is high. Unless BAT is speaking on behalf of McOluomo and his boys, that won't have the means to collect their 100 naira through transfers 2 Likes |
