Millz404: For CBN gov to buy APC presidential ticket and later came out with naira exchange policy when election is around the corner, having failed to clinch the ticket few weeks back, it has already eroded any good intentions that CBN might have. 8 Likes |

It's actually affecting businesses but it's a good development, I can stay 2 months in Canada without spending a dollar cash yet am buying everything I need. There is too much cash in circulation in Nigeria and it's enabling crime |

CBN is hoarding it on purpose ,release large chunk before deadline and see politicians take advantage and change it with their stashed loot From Tuesday, banks will start receiving enough of the new currency from CBN since by then, the old ones are useless It makes enough of economic and security cum strategic sense. 5 Likes |

nlfpmod: I have never seen this kind of a thing before, Is the CBN trying to crash the economy? What is all these nonsense epileptic plan all about? The masses are already oppressed by those in Government, and you're still implementing laws without carefully considering the masses who are minding their business leaving their fate to God! WHY ARE YOU STILL MAKING LIFE UNBEARABLE FOR THEM? Where are the monies you printed? Before such a policy is implemented, there needs to a way that even a normal phone can open a bank account with names and their phone numbers like opay. So that good and services can thrive.. It is quite unfortunate!!! 1 Like |

Thieves pretend they don't understand the reason for the shortages of New Naira notes. Businesses are transacted more online than with raw cash nowadays. Instead of these thieving bankers coming open to say they want to assist their client politicians to use raw cash to buy elections, they hide under lack of cash circulation to perpetuate vote buying in Nigeria. 1 Like |

nlfpmod:The DM Banks allegation against CBN is coming too late ,foul. For over a month no ATM is dispensing new notes as alleged by them . If they have been loading the machine as alleged the scarcity would have been reduced. Both the CBN and DMB are not telling us the truth 1 Like |

In as much as this is going to affect the average man on the street. This would also be roadblock for political parties planning to rig this election. This is the really reason Tinubu said FG is fighting him Bubu is not smiling at all 😁 https://www.nairaland.com/7542696/officer-didnt-shoot-medical-doctor#120412091 |

BreconHills: 1-The American currency cannot be easily manipulated like that.....their highest security system protects 2 things...The president and the U.S Dollar. 2-IF you do not know that there are people in Nigeria printing counterfeit Naira into the system, then you are just being naive. 3-The government cannot increase the amount of dollars just like that (its easier for them to increase or decrease naira, thats the currency they can control) Our government is taking on debts and depleting foreign reserve to get USD.Even they dont have dollars....Any dollar anywhere in the world has to be justified (where is it coming from and where is it going to) 4-Imagine a syndicate printing 200 million Naira everyday, that might be what Nigeria is dealing with.....There are a lot of people on social media flaunting wealth without any known source of business or job.....Most likely they are counterfeiting currency. Open your eyes, there is a lot going on in Nigeria, Don't forget Naira is printed in NSPMC Jos, by human beings locally. The crooks are ahead of the government, the government has to take drastic moves.... The different quarters complaining now are people with 500 million naira ay home and they can take it to the bank.....If you observe a lot of real estate prices have crashed since the government announced new currency.....criminals are trying to launder cash. If the government wants to fix it even better, there should be 1 more sudden currency change within 5 years. 1 Like |

Zico777: That’s the truth Nau, same way the same government fixed official dollar exchange rate that chased investors away, selling cheap dollars to themselves to reseller in the black market , all these foolish experiments is what crashed the Naira, they banned foreign rice and opened borders to herdsmen to chase farmers away from the farms , same banned foreign rice is everywhere in the market selling at expensive rates , I will not suffer what I don’t know because of one quack economist experiment. |

Madridstar: Very funny. This Government knows what to do but just did not do as at when due. Just with this New policy kidnapping went low. Just with this policy Many politiciens that have planned to buy votes is paranoïd. Just with this policy, thé lower chamber of thé legislative arm is unsettled. I Hope and pray that Money will bé embarrased for those who so much believe in using it as a tool to frustrate this coming élection. 1 Like |
