I asked for transcripts to be sent from my school to WES and one month later, I was not hearing anything. WES was/is organized enough to keep reminding me that they had not received anything, so on the fourth week, I asked my student friend to go and disturb them with the news that my deadline was in one week. I even thought the deadline I gave was tight enough.
Would you believe that I slept that night, only to wake up to WES's confirmation of reception?

Ask your school to do electronic delivery. They might not want to open up that they have the service, because of the money they want to charge you, but assure them that you won't mind.

Thanks so much for your input. My school do send Electronic transcript. I have done that before, they they delayed before that sent it.
But I am more concerned about the WES own. Please I sent you a pm

Ehen.., but I was informed that they (WES) were then waiting for it to be verified though..
So I sent my student friend again the next day and they did verify the same next day.

Mine was done together. I just paid someone at MIS to help with it.

I have said this before. Schools can send electronic transcripts and you can bypass the verification stage with this method.

But does WES accept electronic transcripts direct or will I go through ETX.ng

[quote author=NSE19 post=120344020]Thank you for your response.

I don't know, but for some reason, I was temporarily blocked on here and just saw your comment.

My Experience
I called their customer care yesterday and made payment at about 2 pm, payment was confirmed, and I received my SEVIS receipt at 4 am this morning. So in all, it took less than 24 hours to process. (Please note that I did not pay for express but normal service).

Just like you, I had a seamless experience!!

Please, can I fill my DS-160 form before paying my Visa fee at GTBank?

Sure

Okay you didn't understand what I said then. Your school can send directly, electronically to WES. Of cos, you'll often get e-transcripts (student copy) as every transcript request is generated from your school, but I mean they can send to Wes electronically.

Sorry about your ordeal

Please I have two questions
1. why was your visa denied?
2. When did you get the request and an appointment? there is no available appointment in Lagos.

Try Abuja this time around.

But have you seen anyone whose EA was approved without SEVIS receipt, this thing is done once oooo, so please can you confirm this, my start date is jan 19th, so do I go on and request for one.

That's not the point, just join groups and make sure you apply when there is mass approval of EA, I'm sure you will get your EA approve too that time.

Please, who is a better candidate to use as sponsor? Brother or Husband? Brother is in US and receives dollars as may appeal to a VO, but husby is a political figure in Nigeria. Both have the required amount to cover tuition.

Asking for a friend.

Husband is the best option

Good evening everyone!

Pls i need some advice
Attempt: First
MBA
Date : 16/11/2022
Status: DENIED
Me: Good morning Officer
Vo: Good morning. Pass me your passport and I120
Me: (pass)
VO: I see you are going to University of maine
Me: yes officer
VO: who is sponsoring you?
Me: my Aunt
VO: what does she do?
Me: She is currently working as an Investigative Money Laundering Analyst at ******* bank, USA (my aunt lives in new jersey and i have a bank statement of $80k)
VO: Typed for some seconds and gave me the blue paper
Here is the twist: i deferred to summer semester, paid another visa fee and was lucky enough to have gotten another date for mid february 2023.
But someone said i shouldn't have written on my ds160 that my sponsor lives in the US and advised i put her nigerian address which i feel will be misrepresentation. I even declared that i dont have an immediate family memeber in the us but i have other relative in the us (obviously my sponsor). My question is -Should i get another sponsor here in nigeria and request for a new i120 (will be pretty hard tho) or should i just go ahead with what I've submitted?
Also, i used the sane passport photograph for this new application but i plan on going with a a new one. Will it be okay?

Pls help a brethren cry

There's no issue with your sponsor living in the US, you must just be able to proof to the VO why she's sponsoring you and also if you change her to another person during your next interview, the VO would want to know why you're changing.

Marshall university has waived application fees for graduate school application for summer and fall 2023
You might want to take advantage of it

Changing VO isnt really going to improve his chances. If his tuition is $40k and his US-based sponsor makes $100k/yr, it’s highly impossible for his aunty to pay that amount in a year for his tuition. So it means that his aunty would be left with $30k-$40k in a year.. after paying taxes and his tuition. If she lives in NJ/NY area, she cant survive on $30k/yr income

Hello,

Please how do we get the waiver? Is it automatically applied? No place on the website mentions this.

Just a subtle reminder that February is around the corner, virtual grad fair invites will be sent by graduate school make sure you attend these meetings because sometimes, these may be interviews and that's how they decide if they will be give you funding or not.

I wish us all a good news in the coming month.

Meet the basic eligibility requirements for a student visa. This includes being accepted into an approved school or program, being able to financially support yourself, and having a residence outside of the USA that you intend to return to after completing your studies.

Gather all the required documents for your student visa application, including your passport, academic transcripts, proof of financial support, and a Form I-20 or DS-2019 (issued by the school you will be attending).

Schedule and attend a visa interview at a US Embassy or Consulate. You will need to bring your required documents and pay the visa application fee.

After the interview, your application will be reviewed and a decision will be made on your visa. If your visa is approved, you will need to pay a SEVIS fee and make sure you have your I-20 or DS-2019 before you travel to the USA.

Keep in mind that rules and procedures for student visa can change over time, so it's important to check with the US Embassy or Consulate for the most up-to-date information
