Yes if you take a critical look at what is going on with the CBN naira notes redesign it would be clear to you that a redesign of the old naira notes never happened.

A redesign of the naira entails changing the graphics in the notes but what we have here is that only the color of the naira was changed and this is what has sparked all manner of controversy and suspicion by every stake holder in the country, including the ordinary citizens of Nigeria

Another critical issue with this new policy is the unavailability of the new notes and the question everyone's lips is why?.

Remember that when the DSS took all the central banks chiefs in for questioning, one of the questions asked was HOW MUCH OF THE NEW NAIRA NOTE WAS PRINTED INTO CIRCULATION and the answer they all gave was that they don't have any idea how much was printed into circulation, and that has raised a lot of eyebrows because we all know that if the CBN want to print money their must be a board meeting where all the central bank cheifs will sit down to deliberate how much they will have to print out amongst other things,.

so therefore if the central bank chiefs are claiming that they have no figures on how much was printed then something is definitely wrong somewhere.
And could it be that no money was resigned ? Because a redesign will require a new plate but no new plate in this case what we have here is just a change of color of the old notes.

what people have been saying on the street is that the same old money was taken to a lab and re inked and to them that's a fact but EMIEFELE could have come on in the open at the national assembly to clear the air about what's really going on

And could this be the same reason why we don't have enough new notes in circulation ?

It seems that what mr EMIEFELE wants is for the old notes be returned so they will take them to the lab and re ink them , and
Represent the old re inked notes back to us as the new redesigned notes thereby embezzling the money allocated for the new naira redesign which runs into billions if not trillions of naira.

People are saying all sort of things and it will do well for the CBN to come and educate us in front of the national assembly as required by law

And people are saying that this could be the reason why Jan 31st was picked as the deadline for the cash swipe so that people can present them with enough old notes so they can simply take it to the labs to re ink them so emeifele can claim the old notes as new prints ??

I'll like to hear your thoughts

it was "color swap" they did not redesign
Re: The Naira Redesign Never Happened by whatmoreng: 9:35pm On Jan 28, 2023
What do you mean by "re ink"? Remove the colour from the old note and add another? The naira has been redesign QED, though minor.

Say what you know. How do you swap colour from already printed materials? Nigerians are wonderful people

that's the term used to describe changing the colour tone in materials...you retain the designs on the material and change the colour then print it out...

if you mix a certain color with another color it gives you a color ...I hope you understand my analogy and could this have been the reason why the colours on the new notes are not well defined ?? Because those colors looks suspicious. Well.. my thoughts

See babablu reasoning. So CBN will take old dirty notes and change their colour, then present it as new? Do you know money has serial number and date printed? You guys will hear yeye discussion in beer parlour and bring it here.

To redesign a currency, you need to create new printing plates. These form the basis for the printing.
No new design was made so no new printing plates which is where the bulk of the expenditure for currency redesign lies.

Obviously, they would have billed Nigerian tax payers for money to create new printing plates and like you said, swallowed the money.

I'm no certain of the political undertone behind the decision (to curb rigging etc) so I won't speculate.

Tears ...

E no go beta for BUHARI this last minute, him change am for thiefnubuu.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
All the "morally bankrupt' ZOMBIES and urchins are now financial analysts. Just because BUHARI, whom they claim they LOVE decided to redesign the NAIRA.

BUHARI has already said that this redesign is for those that Horde money.

Now I ask, why are Tinubu supporters crying..and foolishly at that? Why issuing threats and making remarks that are dubious and sinister in nature?

What is it with Tinubu and horded cash, in Bullion Vans? Why is Sanwo Olu dodging Debate??

APC is A Criminal Enterprise...shame!!
