10 days isn't enough for what you have in mind... They did okay with the extension....

I don't want an extension.
I m not happy with the extension cos it ll enable those he think are stealing to steal n hide more.
The masses only suffered during the panic of the previous week, the looters got 10 extra days to hide exchange their hidden old notes.
The common man has nothing more to lose.

The cbn should make it illegal for banks to be dispensing old naira notes. Cause it makes no sense that u will go to a bank and they will give u old notes

Why shouldn't they? If banks that were supposed to be the main means through which the old notes should be faced out were still paying with the same old notes as at last week?

Lol you mean as at yesterday.... Even yesterday most ATM(s) in ibadan were loaded with old notes...

Copying policies of developed nations has been one of our problems, solution to our problems should be tailor made, Nigerians are not as patriotic as those guys you want us to copy. They don't buy votes, neither do they stack cash at home like our politicians do here, their mental framework is far different from ours, our how do you explain someone preferring cash to rather rotten than give to the less privileged? Those guys fund foundations to give to the less privileged without expecting votes in return, ours stock palliatives and other privileges meant for millions of people at home while the supposed beneficiaries cry and die of hunger? Until we customise policies in Nigeria to frustrate these circumventers, we wouldn't progress because there a lot of devil incarnate in power whose aim is to kill, steal and destroy not minding whose ox is gored.
SunMusk:
Let the money ease to become a legal tender on the 31st January but banks should collect it until March or April. This is how advance country do things. The running of monetary policy is in the hand of the cbn. Not the president, even US president didn't have a say when the FED make policy. But Nigeria is just corruption corruption. The should just focus on the fiscal policy of things through is ministers. This confusion should stop if Nigeria must get it right.

Emefiele have dined with and have mastered how to deal with Nigeria politicians.

At least he has shifted ground a bit.

There will no longer be a valid reason to put all the blame on CBN with this 10 days extension.

Cashless policy is the way forward
dey deceive yourself no be only cashless na cashstive policy yeye dey smell. Nigeria that is so rural. They will still extend it further don't even bother.

How true is this info? Well, it's still fair. But shouldn't be extended further.
Will still be extended further

Nigeria has a long way to go

And those at the top are not interested in the development of Nigeria

In a sane country

The new notes should be in circulation about 4 to 6months

Making sure the whole country is well equipped then take out the old notes

Not under 3wks

As I am speaking with you

There are millions of people that haven't even seen how the notes looks like let alone touch it

Lol we all know it will be extended even after that presidential speech and CBN Gov... The whole issue is nonsense... What I don't get is them saying 3 months while the money was only released mid Dec... Not even up to 60days nd they expect to mop up currencies from over 200 billion people within that short period is insane even if everything was normal with Nigeria....

But there is another moratorium of extension of 10days from 10th February to 20th February when you can go to exchange for the new now in the CBN.

You will see even if the extension is true, that 2weeks will still not be enough for Nigerian thieves! Wait and see when that date reach, they will still shout and cry like babies.

When is the deadline for Old N100 note?
Because both old and new of that denomination is still in circulation till date since the new one was introduced

Why are these new ones so special that the old ones must be useless in just 10 days

Tinubu is not asking for extension,he is asking for total cancelation of the new naira Policy because he thinks it's always against him. But the policy still remains whether Tinubu likes it or not.

How will he ask for a policy that have been ongoing for more than 10 years to be totally cancelled?

I doubt you even know The Cashless Policy is not just starting under Emefiele, no wander you are so dumb to believe Tinubu will ask for the policy to be cancelled.
