BIBLE'S OPINION ABOUT ELECTION

Exodus 18:21 (NIV VERSION)
But select capable men from all the people--men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain--and appoint them as officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens.

From the above bible verse, it is clear that we shall select from many to govern over :

-Thousands - Presidency
-Hundreds - Governorship
-Fifties - National Assembly
-Tens - State Assembly.

While we choose, let's consider these three things as prescribed by the bible:

-Men who fear God
-Trustworthy men
- Men who hate dishonest gain (bribe).

I pray that as we choose our leaders in this Election, God will open our eyes to see the best for this country.

God is not a politician, Jesus himself reject the kingdom of this world, it's quite unfortunately that todays men of gods have received all the kingdom offer to Jesus that he rejected.
a true believe should look forward to the kingdom of God instead of the kingdom of the world

Stephen too was another elected person. Though within the Christians, he was elected based on spiritual maturity and uprightness.

Yet he sent Paul unto the gentiles. Rejecting a demand to focus beyond the lost sheeps of Israel is a rejection of the kingdoms of this world.

Stephen was selected or choose to work for the progress of the kingdom of God not the kingdom of this world, a true believe should stay away from politics

The God of Israel said that regarding His Israel, not your Nigeria. So, if you are seeking to install men who fear God in Nigeria, you must first ascertain the identity of Nigerian deities and install only those who fear them - Orunmila, Amadioha, Abasi, etc. undecided

Jesus Christ rejected position because his kingdom was not of this world but remember, it's God that chooses and removes leaders and God gives the people leaders according to their desire so even though he is not a politician, he cares about our leadership.

First of all it's not God that said the above rather it was Moses's father in-law {Exodus 18:17} secondly Moses wasn't asked to conduct an election rather he was to choose (select) for the people and lastly he should choose God-fearing men.

Though it wasn't God's word but God approved it that's why it took effect among His people, secondly it was a selection not election and finally if it's the people that were to elect their choice God-fearing men will not come to mind because each person will choose those that will favour them.

Thanks! smiley

OP, as I sought to make clear earlier, the God of Israel is not the God of Nigeria. The God of Israel made it abundantly clear in Deuteronomy 32 that the people of Israel are His inheritance in the land of men meaning that those who are not of Israel are no business of His. So, you would need on to locate those who serve the God of Nigeria if your intention is to mimic what is written in the Constitution of the State of Israel in the Nigerian situation otherwise, na so so chaos Nigeria go dey swim deep inside of. undecided
