That fish's too young for consumption, but catfish is on the higher side talking about cost.

I bought 4 barbequed catfish today, N6,500 each to celebrate my son's birthday.

Bigger once they were.

#6,500 each you say?!
#14,000 #26,000 for 4 Catfish?
Alrighty!!

Considering my location, it is a good buy.
The last time(last year) I had catfish pepper soup, I bought 3 for 2000 OR 2500, I can't really remember the exact price. Tho, those ones are bigger than these ones sha.

OP, no vex o, are you from the southeast and single?
Not joking with my question(s) please!

What are plantains? I've never heard of them before.
HappyPagan:

Na.
We fry or boil plantains.

For bananas, we just cut them and add them to the meal. They aren't cooked.

I don't know if it's just me, but I find Nigerian culture somehow similar to that of India.

If I come across those plantains, I'll start eating them raw thinking that they're bananas.. grin grin grin

Where's your location?
In Abuja at Kado Fish market, 1 catfish small medium size, not up to 1kg is 1700, then 100 fee for butchering. That's 1800.
How did you buy 10 for 2k? No be the same Nigeria we dey?

I’m not the buyer and don’t even know how those fishes get to be 2k

Smiles, there is a reason behind why I chose that moniker...

My moniker doesn't matter and doesn't reflect who I am in anyway, it is just a trolling account which I decided to use in response to the MOD's action that I felt was insin cere because my main account was banned for a year(last year) for flamy reason.
I have since moved past that moment.

LoL, If she gives me..., good, I will cherish it and ensure she always bless the day she did.
And if she doesn't..., good, life anagaga.

I don't think there is anything wrong in my ways here o, nevertheless thank you bro.

Hahah. I know. My Zambian friend had the same reaction when he first saw frying plantains..

'You fry bananas in Nigeria?'

I made egusi soup for him and he loved it. Told home we live in same continent and you have never tasted my food. Yet we both know how croissants and pizzas taste. Lol.

Fried plantains are lovely. Oh, we also have bole (roasted plantain, palm oil, and roasted fish). Lagos people have theirs with groundnut.

Our continent is huge.
