Becos eviction process favour tenant not landlord,so a landlord need shines is face before giving a space for rent to unkmown fellow without good checking.

"Small landlords β€” those who typically own just one or two rental units β€” can become homeless when a tenant refuses to leave a space the landlord needs for their own accommodations or the tenant cannot afford to pay rent.

CBC spoke to two other landlords in Ontario who were homeless, or are at risk of homelessness, due to delays in getting a hearing and eviction order from Ontario's Landlord Tenant Board (LTB) β€” the body that makes decisions when disputes arise between landlords and tenants.

if you are a landlord with mortgage that has been affected by interest rate hikes. You will not take chances with a new comer. They cant see your heart 😬. You have been advised to get airbnb, when you land you can get the license and also open an account. Show to potential landlords your can afford 3 to 6 months rent . Some will take you. Streets no dey smile this period.

I got an interview with statistics canada as Data science fellow. Anyone knows anybody at this institution who I can consult for guidance? Or anyone with experience on what this interview could entail? I have a fair idea already, only I want some more info. Thanks.

There is no one rule fits all. You need to prepare for StatsCan interviews. It is usually in between hard and easy depending on who is interviewing. Some hiring managers might just want to know if you have people skills while others might just go technical.

Go on glassdoor, indeed, Reddit for Canada public servants, rfd interviews for government workers; there are plenty reviews there about the general public service process, if you dig further you might see something for statscan.

Good luck !

Good day all

Decided to open a fresh account because new life in Canada ☺️

I was wondering if there is a network of entrepreneurs in Canada that anyone can add me to. It can be predominantly Nigerian or not, doesn't matter.
I'm a teacher of the art of fruit and vegetable carving and I also bring my unique skills to events by creating custom pieces.

Has Anyone used MAJEK logistics in NAHCO for cargo to Calgary, What was your experience, Mine has been very horrible?
Firstly he advised us to cargo the goods the same day we were to travel, but he never mentioned he will not be around to weigh the goods.

So 1st issue we could not get an actual weight for the items as we had to drop them off with an apprentice.
As soon as we traveled reaching him became unreasonably difficult, eventually, when we got through to him he said the weight was upside of 100kg. Whereas we estimated the weight to be between 70 to 80 Kg. Ok let's let that one slide, you already tricked me to travel without weighing the goods, the payment we made eventually was about 250K.

Now the goods took another 1 week plus to arrive, Now his representative in Canada here another Nigerian is asking for another 137 CAD almost 80K to clear it again after paying 250K before. He said we have to pay. I called the Majek guy now only for him to say oh failed to mention it before but we have to pay. For me that is just dishonesty and trickery, why was this not mentioned so I can properly plan myself,

I'm also aware that Goods to Follow as a New Immigrant are not charged, So I don't know where this amount is coming from.

Please share your experiences as well.

Thanks. This helps, though I've already consulted these sites you mentioned. Was just hoping for a more personal interaction with another candidate or an insider. Thanks still.

Good day everyone,
I hope my question would be answered here. For someone joining his family in Canada on SOWP, is he allowed to book a one way ticket from Nigeria to Canada? Also, who has any link for affordable tickets please.

Thank you as you respond

Go on LinkedIn and search for people at Statscan in same role, with Nigerian names. Contact 5 with a very well worded message for help with interview preparation and at least 3 will respond to you.

Sorry about this. The way to go about this, is to pay 3 to 6 months rent in advance as opposed to the normal 2 month rent. This shows commitment.

Shalom.

forklift is easier to learn and get into. But truck driving is more lucrative but more dangerous.
