I gathered from your information that the tuition fee per year is 21,000 CAD. And after paying the first year’s tuition fee, you were left with a balance of *** for a 2-year program. If I understood the information correctly, the available funds are not enough, considering you have no sponsor and are going for a 2-yr program.

Thank you bullstriker. The narrative that you only need to show POF for the first year and then show how the funds for the next year will be made available don't work anymore?

Was the **m resident in the company account? Also was the **m left after the 18k cad balance was paid becos this is kind of not usual

No the **M is not resident in the company account. After paying the 18KCAD balance is in a separate account from the ** M (I have used *M for business (iPhone buy/sell).

Good afternoon, I just dropped of my passport at dhl to deliver to vfs Lekki, please I want to know how I can apply to vfs get it back after the visa has been stamped. The dhl agent says they don’t handle passport return no more.
Does that mean DHL does'nt handle PP return from Lagos or for Abuja as well?

I’m sure of lagos I don’t know about Abuja, I just need to know how I can make vfs send the passport back to me after visa has been appended on it.

1. It works if you have a sponsor and does not work for a self-sponsor.
2. It should, but you must explain the source of funds and, if possible, show the trail from digital currency to your account.

I intend to liquidate a digital currency and add an additional 7M. This should fly yes?

Hello all,

My previous application was refused for insufficient funds.

Although I have some funding for my master’s (enough to cover tuition and even accommodation).

The sponsor I used before is my half brother( we share different surnames). Although I added our birth certificates in my previous application, the VO was still concerned about the type of relationship and stated in the GCMS notes that I didn’t include enough documentation to show relationship between applicant and sponsor.

To cut the story short:

I am reapplying and someone is transferring a certain amount of lump sum into my account. (Which I intend to keep until the sp is approved)

I thought of getting a gift deed from my mum to say she’s the one who’s transferring the funds to me.

So my Mum is giving me a cheque (even though she’s not the one who deposited the money into my account)

My concern is: I don’t know if they can go as far as checking the validity of the cheque and also even as far as checking her own account to proof if she really transferred money to me. (As claimed in the gift-deed)

(Note: I am not submitting my mum’s bank statements). Just my bank statement.

I’m really looking forward to the gurus opinions.

I’m avoiding misrepresentation as much as I could.

What is the best way to explain the lump sum deposited in my account?

Thanks

If the office is not where you did your biometrics will have to pay N9930 for Transmission Fee and 930 for sms. You also have to N18,710 to have it sent back to u.

If you're in lagos, just go to vfs office between 8am -10am to submit your passport/collect it
If not you'll pay 18k to vfs to return your passport to you.i think they use ups

Good morning my nairaland family.
This will be a bit lengthy bear with me.
May my testimony help some troubled souls to relax.

I got Conestoga admission June 2022 and paid my 1500cad to secure my admission. I got this without knowing anything about study visa requirements (I thought if I walked into the embassy with my admission letter, I'll be given a visa immediately hahahahahaha).
Then I checked for the requirements online and my jaw dropped, I thought it was impossible but my cousin told me babe don't give up. Just one step at a time.
July 2022 I completed my first semester tuition almost 9k.( I did this to motivate me, because I don't want to give up)
Then the search for POF sponsor began.
...got in september cousin's friend whom I've never met or seen.

Why I said my application was imperfect.

1*) Sponsor didn't agree to give me copy of his int'l pssprt, just ordinary personal work ID.
*Refused to give his picture(to proof relationship)
*Sponsor didn't want to disclose his balance, so the POF was almost 2months prior submission. (I don't have an option)

2*) I said I didn't have a family to avoid the vo thinking I won't come back.
(This one gave me sleepless night) I regretted saying No. I thought I'll be given 5years ban for not accepting I have a family there.

Then I stumbled into nairaland. May God bless the brain behind this forum. I visited regularly to read testimonies and finally joined in December 2022.
Some people's testimony here gave me hope while some people's documents were intimidating lol.
Being in this group was a huge blessing to me. Here I learned about sending webform, deferral, mp's, emails and gcms notes. And this helped me greatly.

My documents:
SOA mine and sponsor's.
My bank reference
Acceptance Letter
First semester tuition receipt (forgot to add this, but sent it through webform last week together with my updated LOA)
Employment letters and references
Transcript and results
Int'l passport and passport photograph
SOP
Form 5257, Form 1294 and Form 5645
Survey&Evaluation.

Applied: 11 October 2022
Biometrics: 14th October
Correspondences and PPR: 30 January 2023

May we all get our PPR and may the Land of Canada favor us all in Jesus name Amen.
Thank you Jesus.

Wow congratulations... This is encouraging

All you need now is just your appointment confirmation which can be printed from your registered email address. Then make payment to their account. That's all you need to get your medical examination done. Quote me if you need their account details.

Dear Welsh2np, I understand your dilemma, however in this Canadianwaka it is always advisable that to put in an application you can defend as well as one that will make you sleep well. If you are getting lump sum from another party and passing it off as a gift from your mum with a (cheque) then it is confusing- A cheque is a doc you are given which you would have cleared into your account.

The options available to you
1. The person sends the money to you as a loan duly documented (you have state how you will pay the loan in your SOP and attach the documents evidencing the loan as educational loan)
2. If your mother's account is highly transactional, the person can move the funds to you and your mum sends the funds to you with a gift deed (you can include her statement or not) - you will hope they do not go as far checking your mum's account.
3. Most difficult - The person stands as your sponsor, but you have to draft a strong SOP to show hwy he is sponsoring you and his income sources.
