I'm not sure I understand your point. Is it gang violence? Those other areas have gangs too, no? Is it Black people joining gangs? Those other places have black people too, no? Given that all states have both gangs and black people (some with even bigger urban centers), what would make Red state's murder rates higher?

And for the record, I believe the US has one of the lower rates for child molestation/sexual abuse in the world. The US has very strong laws/enforcement (i.e sex offenders having to register and let their whereabouts be known). While I believe Nigeria's rate is much higher. I think I saw a study at some point. If you care more than just paying lip service and using it for political machinations, I would focus on you own country, Nigeria and it's very very real problem with child sexual abuse (not that any sexual abuse isn't worth being concerned about).
