Missposh:Check the date on the confirmation form(the one they asked you to take a picture of). You usually would get the passport 1 week after that date sometimes less. Mine came exactly one week after. |

Peerielass:According to whose standards is caring job a waste of one's time? Let's give care givers some dignity. We seek different things in different jobs. Some seek peace of mind that comes with sponsorship knowing that one day the stress will be over and they'll move on, others have made up their mind to go for a second, third and so on masters or live illegally if they don't get sponsorship. Some have partners that will start masters which will in turn give them continued legal stay. Different situations guide these decisions so care workers should not be crucified. Nothing stops anybody from changing job/career anytime they so desire. 11 Likes |

This care work talk is really a thing for consideration. I need advise actually I and my wife both got admission to same school , while my wife is studying, i deferred mine ( Applied data science) to October Currently about to start carework next month, no talk of sponsorship yet. The goal is to be a data analyst/scientist starting from an entry level role, i have some certifications and projects completed but the jobs are not coming. Applying on LinkedIn but only few calls back. Should i go for studies after my wife completes hers or keep looking for that entry level role which i am not sure will come with visa sponsorship. |

Viruses: Nobody is disparaging care work, I’m just highlighting the possible outcome for that strategy. At the end of the day, there are no right or wrong approach. Each approach comes with inherent risks/drawbacks. People should follow whatever approach favours their circumstances and deal with any obstacle as they arise. 2 Likes |

Tech Nation, the UK startup organisation that helped bring thousands of talented tech workers to the UK, has announced that it will cease operations in March after the UK government pulled key funding. https://sifted.eu/articles/tech-nation-shutting-down/?fbclid=PAAaY7lnsep7iVYWwtMHco4C5o35_qm-Xfbfk4mOwVk6rIeVRHk-8qcxtZ7iU |

Tech Nation made its impact with trailblazers like Monzo, Revolut and the Global Talent Visa scheme. The shift in funding to Barclays' Eagle Lab is somewhat disturbing as many see it as a result of political interest and alignment. But then, it's common knowledge that fundings have cycles and every grantee must seek self-sustenance or be ready to close shop. The days ahead will test the government's decision to defund Tech Nation and roll with Eagle Lab. tshoboy: |

Hi there, I use this App below & passed it for the first attempt easily within 10 minute's in the test centre. You can also Google "lifeintheuktest" 3rd edition it helps a lot as well. Make sure you study hard for the test & try to memorise the dates of the events that occur in Britain as much as you can. I wish you all the best. quote author=CheesyTee post=120537183]Elders, please can you suggest helpful app ir sites to help prepare for Life in UK test. Thank you [/quote] 7 Likes 7 Shares

This is one of the inherent danger of (improperly) associating a visa with an entity. The visa category has for more than a year been called Global Talent Visa Digital Technology, however, people continue to refer to it simply as Global Tech visa. Bloggers and YouTubers ain't assisting. All I'm trying to pass across is let's learn to relate to or engage a visa category according to it's official name. All said, it's sad 😢 seeing TN closing its doors. Well, April is round the corner, we'll see what metamorphose from it. In-btw, Tech Nation itself was a replacement of other entities - TN replaced Tech City UK and Tech North Tech Nation Impact assessment - link Global Talent Visa Digital Technology - link lightnlife: tshoboy: 3 Likes 1 Share |
