Every stay is for a max 6 months irrespective of how long the visitor visa is given for (2, 3, 5, 10 years). Before the end of each six months, she must leave the UK and re-enter again, except Home Office has granted the concession. Withdrawal only make the status quo worse. So sad, you've penned Mum down as an overstayer. Hope, she can still come back in future. Beware of street corner advice. Most goes against the law of the land, irrespective of how some have been able to beat the system! Well, for now, as you've been advised, get her a Travel document to travel back ASAP. When back in 9ja, start the return process, obviously revalidation the visa. Alternatively, get an immigration lawyer to petition her continuing stay on medical ground. Good luck with that though. PS: this is not a binding legal advice as contemplated in law mayluv: |

semmyk: Funny thing is my own switch took less than one full working day. Even less than half, and less than 2 actual working hours, if we want to be that specific. Paid and submitted on a Friday at past 10 in the night, uploaded evidence on the following day - Saturday, and got the email on Monday before half 10. |

Wise don't have full banking license and they are such an ass. They can shut you down without telling you the reason. Besides that you can't get loan facilities from them. Lolli2pop: |

Teebaa: This is the reality of what's happening here, get ready to start from the ground zero and have a solid foundation. You will get the entry role BUT you need to go through bootcamps that will land you an automatic internship after completion which will give you the so much-requested "UK Experience" when applying for jobs. 1. Start the care/support worker job first and don't worry about sponsorship now. What I have observed in the short period of reaching here is that if they don't give, they will let it be known to you outrightly from the start, if they don't say anything, they most likely give but will observe you first before letting you know. However, it's mostly 4 months to the end of your BRP deadline. While doing the job and making money, you will find time to be studying for data analyst skills, since it's online. 2. Then practice well to be good at the data analyst role to get you ready for an interview for the data analyst job. You going to school after your wife is waste of funds + time in my own view. She too can start applying for the same care/support worker job as well. |

bigtt76:Grantham is quite a distance to London so £50 is quite right for a train journey. It can be higher if you don't book early. |

I could remember months ago when i would go through this thread and pray for open doors for me to be able to japa. Congratulations to me cos my dreams have come true. I’m currently undergoing a postgraduate degree in the UK. I sell all kinds of soups, stew, jollof rice, fried rice to students and workers who are too busy to cook for themselves. Teebaa: Why pay that high for Data Analytics when High Impact Career is there for you. It’s £600 for 10 weeks but subsidized for Nigerians and Africans at large to a price of N200k or it’s equivalent. Check Ogbeni Dipo’s bio on Twitter for more information. 10 Likes 4 Shares |
