I was there on Thursday to get cash and was told theres no money. I got angry and asked why they now opened knowing there was no money. After asking my rhetorical question without any reply, I angrily stormed out of the bank.

On Thursday 2nd Feb 2023

CBN insisted that over the counter you can only withdraw with denomination of notes less than 200 naira. So there was scarcity of cash (both old and new) and ATM was crowed.

Those frustrated people, may be they wanted to travel or do something important but due to no money, they were 'finished'.

Access Bank problem is they like to follow trends (especially that COVID-19 nonsense). Some bank ignored CBN after a few hours.

You expect me to keep trying so they keep debiting me without the airtime shey you well at all

I was on ATM que and a man behind me was talking about the state of the economy and the difficulty people are experiencing in getting their money which is leading to rage.he was saying this was the wrongest time for the change of naira considering the level of inflation and poverty.the one wey weak me was when he got to the point that angry Nigerians who don't have access to their money are setting banks ablaze (with people inside of the building and money inside the bank) imagine that you are inside the bank and one angry customer throws fire from outside and burn down the building with people trapped in it


The politicians underestimate how angry Nigerians are.a large part of nigerians are too uneducated and unenlightened about this cashless policy you want to impose on them
