Foremost leaders of pan Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, Pa Ayo Adebanjo and Senator Femi Okunronmu on Saturday attended the Labour Party, LP, presidential campaign rally in Ogun State.

The Yoruba leaders were at the campaign rally to receive the presidential candidate of LP, Peter Obi; his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed; the national Chairman of LP, Julius Abure; and other party leaders.

Speaking at the rally, Adebanjo described the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, as a failure.

The Afenifere leader told Tinubu to withdraw his candidature and join Peter Obi, saying the northerners he relies on would disappoint him.

“We are behind Obi. Leaders of the progressive movement are behind Peter Obi.

“Those fraudsters parading themselves as Yoruba do not love the country. Yorubas do not take things that belong to other tribes. A Yoruba has been President before.

“Atiku (Abubakar) is taking you for a fool, a Fulani man is about leaving.

“Please tell Tinubu that Hausas will not vote for him, tell him to come back and support Obi and Datti because they will defeat him and when they defeat him, he won’t be able to come back home,” Adebanjo said

Since the creation of Nigeria, No desperate politician has even contested an election and become a President... None !!

Buhari was very desperate in 2011 which was his last attempt after 3 solid struggle to rule Nig. After the election Buhari was defeated, he cried and gave up in anything concerning presidency, he became frustrated hence the riot in the core north.

I always find it interesting that Adebanjo has been speaking against Tinubu for years and yet I have never seen Tinubu respond even once. Is it because Adebanjo has zero electoral value or because Tinubu no just send am? Adebanjo a political chihuahua barking at Tinubu a political elephant. Tinubu is wasting Southwest votes that Obi needs to win on first ballot.


If Tinubu doesn't step down for Obi, if Tinubu, Obi, Atiku and Kwankwaso goes to the final poll on 25th, the election will enter a rerun between Obi and Atiku.




But if Tinubu steps down honorably and rally behind Obi then the South have won and this singular act will forever unite Southern Nigeria and bring the eventual national prosperity all Nigerians have been clamoring for.




Because so long as Yorubas continues to drag politics with Igbos in Nigeria, it will continue to destroy the unity of Nigeria and will mar the growth of Nigeria as a nation.



The growth and liberation of Nigeria is in the hands of Southern Nigerians and that can only happen when Yorubas shealth their sword and embrace their Igbo brothers and work together to uplift Nigeria.



The only way for forces of nature to align again in favor of Nigeria's growth is only when Igbos are pacified and embraced wholly by giving them a chance at Presidency since the end of the civil war.



Nigeria's multiple problems have a spiritual undertone.



Nobody prospers in life if they continue to hold grudges against their brother or refuses to forgive those that wronged them.



Nigeria need divine healing through Peter Obi's presidency.

Tinubu did a rally in Ogun and you have such massive turnout and most of the leaders in Ogun declaring support BUT you Pa Adebanjo that you called yourself an acclaimed Yoruba leader couldn’t even mobilize your family members to the campaign rally of the poor guy wey look like assembly ground.

In Yorubaland, Tinubu is our authentic leader. If Obi get 5% of the votes in Ogun state election, INEC should declare him president for life.

Even if an election is to be held within Pa Adebanjo family, Jagaban will still win Obi.

Pa Adebanjo grievance is that Asiwaju is the new corp of Yoruba leaders that took power from the old era. He is envious of him and that envy has affected Pa Adebanjo reasoning.
