Victor Osimhen: Another Landmark in Napoli's Serie A history For context: Luis Vinicio ended up with 16 goals in 26 games. Meaning he didn't score again till season end. Cavani finished with 29 goals in 34 league games. Higuain finished with 36 goals in 35 league games. Damn! š„š„ 4 Likes 1 Share

I try to be very careful with words when analysing, my good man. I said he has ballon dor potentials. I never said he will definitely win it but truly the potentials are there. Showing potential doesn't always translate to reality. Neymar, as you have mentioned is an example. Always had the ballon dor potential but now at age 31 (today is his birthday even) and he still haven't won it. Understand something, you don't have a clear shot of winning a Ballon D'or in the modern game if you aren't playing for one of the elite sides of Europe and delivering top performances week in, week out. P.S: Neymar met this criteria but he was unfortunate to exist in the same era as Messi and C.Ronaldo. yinkeys: 1 Like 1 Share |

People mind are so corrupted that, they believe any questionable act on Seria A is a diss to OSimehn. First of all, osimehn isnāt the only player in Seria A. The league has been dead because of the low quality of football, Corruption, bribery, and politics affecting the game. This season alone, juventus were revoked by multiple points for āfinancial discrepanciesā AKA (Fraud)ā¦. Footballing wise, Lukaku tore up the league few years ago by winning all winnable awards. A year later, he flopped at Chelsea 8 goals in 34. Last season ademola Lookman scored only 6 goals all season in Epl, a year later he is the 2nd top scorerā¦. 2 Likes |

Also, why are people telling Osimehn to leave Napoli when he can stay longer and become an indispensable Legend. If he wins the league this year, he can strive to win 2 more before leaving while also competing for champions leagueā¦ some of these big clubs like Madrid, utd are very impatient and if you donāt perform immediately they will embarrass youā¦ enjoy yourself in Seria and pick up 2 or 3 titles before you japa 2 Likes |

Personally I think Osimehn will one day become an APOY and also be Nigeria all time top scorer. He just has to remain disciplined, work hard and remove yes men around him. Forget about talent, imagine if all SE players had this guy determination, passion, never say die attitude |

Wait o. So this performance no worth top 10 balon d'Or ranking?? š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£ Why una dey do like this na. If Napoli stun the world in this UCL as far as semis, forget, he's in top 5. He's also definitely getting a podium finish for cafpoty. Victor is not stopping anytime soon. He keeps getting better and that's why you should have hope and expect anything from now. Scudetto is in the bag with such performances. Non fans know this. They are singing this guy's praises in bars and restaurants in italy. Victor is such a hard worker that there's nothing he can't achieve right now. We once complained about his positioning last season. He's improved on that. Don't wait for one media house to write article before you begin dey have hope abeg 3 Likes |

Lol... Relax Papa Haaland. Cool down. š We all know the Moroccans have 3 players who still stand among the contenders for the APOTY. I have said this before. Bounou, Amrabat and Hakimi lead the way thanks to their Super Historic WC Run with the Atlas Lions. But you see, if Osimhen wins the Copacannoniere in Italy and bags the League MVP award in addition to winning the Serie A title and tops it up with even a Quarter Finals or Semis finish in the UCL... it would be HARD looking past him for the award. Don't forget about Mikel in 2013. Won the Afcon and played a vital role in it yet lost the APOTY to Yaya Toure who won nothing that season at Man City except an English Super Cup title (Community Shield). Also, dont forget 2012. Drogba and Mikel won the UCL but most of the attention fell to Drogba yet Yaya Toure won the APOTY again after winning the EPL with Man City. Note... these were not the seasons where Yaya hit 20 goals as a Midfielder. He achieved that in 2013/14 season and also won the EPL title which easily AGAIN handed him the APOTY over Aubameyang. So Bottomline, Morocco's WC Run definitely put those 3 guys in front for now but at season's end when we know the results of how each performed for Club too and not just country, Osimhen will be a Major contender and a likely winner. elyte89: 1 Like 1 Share |

South Korea made it to semifinal of 2002 world cup heaven didn't collapse. Turkey has won a world cup bronze the world didn't collapse so I should now faint because an african team got to the world cup semis because it's written down somewhere that another african country can't surpass achieve what they did? I asked a simple question what was the level of Hakimi's performance at the world cup that makes him worthy of APOTY till now I'm still waiting for the answer. Pre and post world cup how many moroccan players have blow us away with their performances in club competition this season? Because of world cup run where luck was also a factor you know want make person hear word. Credit to Morocco they tried but it's still a one of. God keeping all of us alive let's see what they do at the next AFCON and the world cup in 2026. elyte89: 2 Likes |
