Hello, goodevening everyone please is it okay for sponsor to bring more than amount of money for 1year duration program ? Let’s say my duration program is 44kcad and my sponsor Brought bank account statements of 133k cad..
That's not the issue. The issue is, is the money truly available for your studies?

Your sponsor need to show receipt of payment of your tuition to convince the VO that they paid your school fees.

Your sponsor can also do a GIC for you to further convince the VO.

Lastly you need to show what kind of relationship you have with your sponsor and why they are sponsoring you.

Please advise on how to best proof home ties in my situation. I have a registered business in Nigeria and am now in the UK with my wife on a postgraduate visa. She is trying to get a student visa to Canada. I've already added her as a proprietor to the company I own in Nigeria, even though I don't get salary from the business and she doesn't get paid. However, I have multiple projects and an online presence to demonstrate the company's existence. She is currently working in the United Kingdom for more than a year now.

I can understand how difficult it would be travelling to Canada all alone without your partner. However, you need to sacrifice for a few months so as to achieve a positive outcome on your application before filling for your hubby to join you. More importantly, it is better to apply from your home country where you've adequate ties than from the UK. Your application is at risk of being denied should you apply from the UK.

Boss what's a GIC, I have also have a question my mom(she's my sponsor) and I have different names will that be a red flag to the VO

Concerning the payment of school fees I already deposited 1500cad to the school.the sponsor is my sister’s husband, And the sponsor provided a letter also with his companies details and he owns a hospital out of Nigeria and also his passport details and my sister passport details too and marriage certificate which bears my surname too.

And also I will be sponsoring myself with 5million. Which I already fixed .
As long as your sponsor is not your parent or siblings or life partner, you need to show why they are sponsoring you, any evidence of your sponsor sponsoring you in the past you should show it.

And Bottom line is, it is very important you show evidence that the money is not just for show. If you can transfer the money to your sponsor and have them pay your tuition that should help.

GIC = Guaranteed investment certificate. Research more on it. It's basically opening a Canadian bank account and transferring your upkeep money there.
Yes it will be a red flag if you don't explain it for the VO.

You and your wife don't seem like you both have strong economic ties to Nigeria, if your paychecks don't come from your Nigerian company.

So you need to fix that, show proof of economic ties to Nigeria.

Is it a reasonable expense to pursue another degree in Canada? You need to show how it helps your Nigerian company.

Is there family wealth in Nigeria, it helps to show that you both have something to fall back to. Like property or investments cowrywise or other investment trust funds in Nigeria.

Show evidence of cash that are immediately available for personal upkeep while in canada not just asset values.

Is DNA test not an overkill? Just explain why you both have different surname.

Hello house,
Please I need advice, I have a cousin that will like to pay part of my school fees . She’s a PR in Canada but a friend mentioned that it could be perceived as a reason not to leave Canada.

From what i can understand from your advice. Its base on proof of funds. We have enough to show as POF. Do you mean her being a co-founder to my company isnt enough to proof home ties couple with family pictures.

Even if he has 1million cad in his account, he still has to show commitment to sponsoring you especially as you are not a direct family member (sister-in law) by either paying your school fees or transferring the money for your school fees/expenses to your account

The family wealth is not just proof of funds it's also proof of economic home ties.

In terms of home ties, why would you or your wife return to Nigeria?

Since you're both on temp visas in the UK. You need to show proof that your Nigeria company has a lot going for it and its something you're coming back to continue.

You will need to describe how your wife is supporting the business remotely and how getting her degree in Canada will further help execute her responsibilities.

But you mentioned that she's been working for over a year, is it full time? And is this on a post graduate work permit?

@house, which is the better option for Form A payment via Flywire? Should I choose "International bank transfer in CAD" or "International bank transfer in USD''? Tuition on offer is quoted in CAD. Thank you.
USD is more easily accessed at the black market and accepted at banks than CAD
