thesilentone: No, I didn't read. I will check. Thanks. Watch South Africa, France, UK and other indexes I have highlighted in the past. I don't know what it could be but from my research it looks like something will make majority of these indexes lose a minimum of 62%. If NSE 30 gets higher than the historical top, it too will be in the league of the indexes that could do that huge decline. Let's be cautious in this Q1 and have spare cash aside (dividend income, savings) in case of anything. 5 Likes |

RabbiDoracle: GT has gained almost 40% in 2/3 months. Zenith over 30% Using the Elliott wave theory, I am seeing that we are riding the 5th/last wave which is usually explosive and shorter than the bullish wave 3. Until I see a tall monthly green candle, followed by a monthly red call (irrespective of size), that's the bearish call for me 2 Likes |

The outcome of the election in Nigeria will have a significant impact on the market and economy. While some argue that the market has already factored in the election, the outcome remains uncertain. The question remains whether Nigeria will continue on its current path or experience real change. However, it is important to note that Nigeria is lagging behind in terms of development, offering significant investment opportunities. Thus, a comparative analysis of foreign markets and economies may not be relevant if there is a genuine shift in the approach of Nigeria towards development. 1 Like |

The Nigerian economy and its markets are intricately linked to the outcome of the election. The election results will provide a clear picture of the direction the country is headed in and the policies that will be implemented to drive its economic growth. In recent years, Nigeria has been facing numerous economic challenges including inflation, currency devaluation, and a slowdown in growth. It is important to address these issues to enable the country to reach its full potential. A change in approach and policies could potentially turn the economy around and create a positive outlook for investors. On the other hand, if the election outcome results in the continuation of the current path, the economy may face similar challenges and struggles. This may discourage investment and lead to a lack of growth in the market. Given the large opportunities for investment in Nigeria due to its development lag, a comparative analysis of foreign markets and economies may not be applicable. The potential for genuine change in Nigeria's approach towards development creates a unique investment landscape that cannot be compared to other markets. In conclusion, the outcome of the election will play a crucial role in determining the future of the Nigerian economy and its markets. Investors should keep a close eye on the election results and the policies that will be implemented post-election to make informed investment decisions. 1 Like |

Agbalowomeri: My fear is if the Western world stock crash is caused by a global bond crisis, then it will be limit-down on many stock indexes (and automatically individual stocks). In limit down situations, you can't exit. And if contagion as a result of such moves goes into other markets, it will lead to limit-down on indexes of these markets (automatically individual stocks) as well. So in my opinion, it could be fast decline in Western markets. 1 Like |

Streetinvestor2: I don't look at only TA of Nigerian stocks. I look at the TA of many global stock indexes and bonds. Once I see divergences on those global ones, I try to update and warn to see if others see same. Like months ago, there wasn't any negative divergences in those indexes and so I assumed NSE will go on well. However, since December 2022, I have started seeing some signs of their indexes going very fast to All time high and that could create some issues for their markets. The speed of rise is concerning to me especially when you know that there are negative macro factors affecting those markets. Since global markets are interconnected, where there are issues in the big global players, these could create tremors in smaller markets. These tremors are called contagion. And that is why I show my findings to other TA guys here for all to rub minds together and see what could go wrong/right. I don't just buy stocks, I also investigate what could go wrong with my position that will wipe out my capital. That is how I do my risk analysis. And remember, market will not go on a straight line. I am 80% in NSE currently but watching what could go wrong around the world. Okuko na pa nri, anyaufio akona e--ibo adage. 8 Likes |

RabbiDoracle: Hmmm this change of tone. Some people have been waiting to see GTB at 50 as you said last year. Well your approach is not bad. You are open and say what you see. I am not a TA guy oo, i just look at trends. I noticed that in the past 5 election circles in Nigeria, there is always a strong bull in the year preceding presidential elections. The highs of that preceding year are never attained again until a year after the elections. With what has happened so far, the NSE is following that trend. Most stocks have had their year highs in January. What that means is we MIGHT not see the highs of January 2023 again until next year. I am not an expert ooo, I am just sharing my little experience 2 Likes |
