It’s a full time role that I secured while I was a student, but didn’t resume until I graduated in September due to restrictions on my hours to work as a student. I have only worked for 3 months and about rounding off my probation period before all these wahala. I don’t want to get sacked because I need them as reference. That’s my worry. If they called a compliance meeting, that might be understandable. However, going outright to disciplinary with a threat of dismissal, is over the board. Must be defended vehemently.
ACAS is the first step before Employment Tribunal. ACAS doesn't mean you must go to Employment Tribunal after either. However, approaching ACAS is not simply to get back at an employer but a necessary advisory step. It assists both parties.
ACAS offers early conciliation (if the intent is to approach the Employment Tribunal at a later stage).
ACAS also offers mediation support with an end goal of mending relationship at work (from work disagreement).
In any case, ACAS or no ACAS guidance or involvement, facts are critical. Ensure you have all your documentary evidences with you for your so called disciplinary 'meeting'. Pay attention to all the pointers you've received on your post here: such as from Mimilyrics, Poanan, AlphaUno, Lexusgs430 and all I did not tag.

Can't be complaining of labor shortages and be putting restrictions everywhere. Canada and Australia removed those restrictions and are currently enjoying it so

Of course people are free to do it as it's legal but it's clearly a huge problem as those people take up spaces and then abscond thereby leaving the unis out of pocket but also depriving other people who genuinely want to study of the space since the unis cannot recruit ad-hoc after admission cycles.

I had a chat with an entry officer on my way back in from a trip recently and it's clear people are aware that the route is being abused. I just hope when the remedy comes it won't be too strong a shift to restrictions and loss of the current opportunities, because I know people will start screaming racism or 'right-wing' even though what has been happening is not something that they would entertain in their own countries.

But the thing is you can actually make the transition your self by studying your self. Youtube is one of the most underated resources that most people are sleep on. Say for example if a bank teller want to transition to business analysis. You can search youtube for videos that give an overview on business analysis. Then then there are lots of reseource that go even deeper into it. If you discipline and spend your time. what you get would be an equivalent of 2 or 3 bootcamps. Simplilearn is one youtube channel that has several great materials on this and other areas. After understanding the landscape, you can go a step further and search for virtual internships to garner practical experience. Forage is on good resource for virtual internship and it take less than 5 mins to register. You get to work on live projects from fortune 500 companies(Deloitte, GE, TATA, KPMG) and can even reference this on you resume. The most important thing is get the experience and skillset. And you can do this without paying a penny by just investing time, internet connection and research, research research!!! From your room you can get experience. Especially if one is not an Omo babalowo.

For interviews, there are lots of materials youtube that can guide you in answering questions in your subject area especially using the STAR method. Record your self during interviews so you can know how well you perform. Take note of the questions you were asked, and research after the interview how to answer optimally. You can even use CHatgpt to get good answers and relate it to your experience. Searching for jobs is a job on its own. With grit and perserverance you will get what you looking for.

Well said. Presumably if the student switches visa mid course, then they do not have to pay any outstanding uni fees? If so then it's obvious why the universities will support a ban on visa switching, and why the government might take the view that it opens up the system to abuse by "fake" students.

now that we are on tier 2, how can we process the refund.?

2. Fill out the required information.
3. Input NI number instead of BRP number
4. Provide the payslips for that period that you're claming for.
5. Wait for a response on the success of your application. If successful, it will be refunded to the card/account from which the payment was taken.
Note: As long as she worked in healthcare for the period for which she claims and has corresponding payslips, she should be refunded.

This new school sends a taxi to pick the girls everyday at the cost of the school. I am worried this may be public funds. I said they should confirm that this would not cause some trouble in future. I asked the woman again yesterday and she said her husband said it is not, but pleaded I help her verify.
